WebMakers is a modern Software House that provides web and mobile application development services. The company specializes in dedicated applications based on Symfony framework with React.js and React Native for mobile development. For clients’ applications and in-house projects, we create our own solutions like:
a) Symfony framework components and modules that allow us to develop web applications faster, such as message exchange system handling communication between tens of thousands of users.

Edu Bears
Edu Bears is a platform of innovative education solutions. Their flagship brand is Teddy Eddie, an ambitious method of teaching English to kids aged 2 to 7 tested by more than 12,000 students in over 200 language schools throughout Poland and Czech Republic. Eddie’s older brother, our rising star Savvy Ed, is a method of teaching English to advanced but still young learners aged 7 to 10. Additional elements of their platform include the Parent Academy, offering lectures for parents who are committed to the development of their children’s language skills as well as a series of Synergy Garden conferences for teachers, methodology consultants and owners of our accredited centres, organised since 2016. We have created a new website for them and a training and lesson management system.

Wolves Match
During their conferences they helped facilitate almost 22.000 1:1 meetings between startups, investors and corporations. To help connect and grow on a higher level, they’re opening an online matchmaking experience as well. We have created a website for them and a dedicated system.

Learning Platform
Learning Platform is a tool for creating and selling online courses. The system is equipped with many plug-ins, such as the ability to create exams, interactive presentations or generate course completion certificates.
In addition, it is possible to upload videos, photos and other interactive elements. Users also have the option of live streaming via Zoom.

My company has hired WebMakers Software House to develop an advanced web portal called HORECA TIMES. The purpose of the portal was to give users access to the best offers in HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants, Cafes) in Europe, with a full information about the offers, new products and new places, special offers, promo codes, discount coupons, happy hours etc.
The project involved a development of a web portal with a set of dedicated mobile applications. The HoReCa portal functionality also includes support for Restaurant, Hotel and Café owners to register in the system and publish information about their services.
Our goal was to create this advanced technical project with attention to details, the best security measures of development, and high scalability – which was achieved with the work of excellent development team of WebMakers Software House.

WebMakers Software House has split the scope of the project into 3 milestones with the first milestone being the front-end and back-end work on the user part of the web portal, the second milestone being the implementation of the rich back-end and administrative web tools, and the third milestone involving implementation of dedicated mobile applications.

The solution provided by WebMakers Software House involved a full development of a web portal application with the front-end, the rich back-end functionalities, all the required user modules, as well as the back-end portal for owners of Restaurants, Hotels and Cafes, as well as an admin portal.
The work was accomplish with the usage of a variety of web technologies involving but no limited to HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Symfony framework, MySQL database, rich web notification mechanisms for users, REST APIs with web sockets development, and dedicated mobile application development for Android and iOS.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
WebMakers Software House team has proven to be very flexible in their working with us as a client. They are agile in the entire development process. The project was created using a SCRUM methodology and we have been in a permanent contact with the WebMakers team leader and SCRUM master as well as the other members of the team.
We have been involved in the process of planning SCRUM sprints which has given us a look at their professional organization of project management as well as the pace of the development. A variety of communication tools was used in an everyday communication with their team including email messages, Slack channel communication, phone calls and videoconferencing.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the head of office and sales of a tire dealer and repair shop. We are a small family-owned company based in Felicia, Poland.
What challenge were you trying to address with WebMakers Software House?
For years, we’ve been selling our products at an online selling platform here in Poland called Allegro. We wanted to sell independently, so we hired WebMakers Software House to create a dedicated e-commerce store for us.
What was the scope of their involvement?
For the first stage of the project, WebMakers Software House analyzed our needs and conducted design workshops for us to determine what the next direction would be. Their team created dedicated web solutions from scratch. They used commonly-known and stable tools and technologies such as React, MySQL, and TypeScript.
WebMakers Software House then integrated different features into the platform, such as an external payment system and an advanced configurator that allowed customers to automatically match tires according to the car model or other specific features.
Additionally, the data provided by the wholesaler we’re engaged with was not systematized, so WebMakers Software House integrated a lot of individual processes to bring the data in. They added extensive configuration options and an external database that was solely focused on car profiling.
The last stage of the project was identifying the best environment for the deployment of the product. A combination of technologies with the Git version control system were used to ensure fast, simple, and reliable infrastructure maintenance and lessen the implementation time.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Magda (Project Manager) who was responsible for communicating our needs to the rest of the team. We also worked with their copywriter and a marketing specialist. Surely, there were other team members involved in the project who I didn’t get to meet personally.
How did you come to work with WebMakers Software House?
We knew their team personally as our clients before we even started. WebMakers Software House shared the same passion that we have for cars and motorsports. It was important for us to know that we were on the same page in terms of the subject and creating a tool for it. We hired them because we loved their commitment, energy, and professionalism.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project ran from June 2019–December 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
WebMakers Software House helped us achieve our goals of being independent of other shipping and selling platforms. The end product continues to help us with our everyday work, and we are generally very happy with this turnout.
Our project required a lot of research work, and their team managed to do that by themselves. They came up with many ideas to help us improve our shop, making things easier not only for us but our customers as well.
How did WebMakers Software House perform from a project management standpoint?
They were a really easy-going team. WebMakers Software House was a very communicative group that did everything online. We mainly exchanged emails and made phone calls with them. Once a week, we would have a meeting for feedback sessions and progress updates. They managed the project well, and I wish all companies worked this wonderfully.

WebMakers Software House was really into the work that they were doing. They were not afraid to do a lot of research, even when the information was challenging to find. Their energy to do that was impressive. We thought it was unique.

Our company hired WebMakers to develop our CRM platform called Bears' Station. This platform brings together all people who are in the space of our licenses. From the student, through the teacher, manager or training participant, to the employees of our company.
Many modules have significantly facilitated and systematized our work: workshops, players of our applications, cloud for licensees and many others. Our goal was to focus all customers on one platform with different access options.
How did you select WebMakers Software House and what were the deciding factors?
We were looking for a company that would perfectly balance the price / quality ratio. We chose WebMakers as they were referred to us by previous software company. We were presented with rich portfolio and good offer. Everything about it was transparent and clear.
The friendly atmosphere during the meetings also influenced our decision. The decisive factor was also the experience of the people working in the team - we wanted to work with people who have several years of experience in the industry and are very creative. Moreover WebMakers were also able to help us in other fileds including hosting, server administration among others.

Project steps: apart from a series of small tasks and improvements there are also new modules planned and implemented. I am happy to say each of the steps was delivered on time.

Everything is well planned. All priorities are correctly assessed, and they are always up to every task. Great work organization allows to achieve our goals. All tasks are performed on time, regardless of the time allocated to the implementation and the project idea.

Project Management is based on cooperation. I feel save to discuss all the matters with the PM, being sure, she will forward important questions to the developer. I appreciate being able to talk to the developer directly when the need arises.
We agreed that as a client I am responsible for setting deadlines and priorities, and I am happy to say they are always met and understood. Our main communication and project management tool is Active Collab, but we also use e-mail from time to time, as well as occasional Skype Meetings.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
A dedicated project manager manages the entire project perfectly. I am very pleased with the possibility to discuss our concerns and get help in planning and using the system as well as consult other technical issues. I feel our cooperation is based on mutual trust.
All works are performed efficiently, on time and in accordance with all guidelines. They also proved themselves many times in crisis situations. We could always report a problem to them and we received support as soon as possible.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We have no objections to our cooperation. The cooperation so far, which was characterized by reliability and professional approach to fulfilled duties, means that we can recommend the WebMakers company to others without any doubt.
Thanks to the contributions of the WebMakers Software House team, the company was able to deliver the portal on time according to their timeline. All of the required functionalities were complete and the implementation went off without a problem. The communication was perfect on both sides.
