CJ Pony Parts

CJ Pony Parts wanted to give customers easy access to the aftermarket parts and products they need in order to improve their vehicle. We designed their menu and search options to allow shoppers on both mobile and desktop to browse the exact year their Mustang falls into. Additional filters can be selected from there.

When it comes to ecommerce, we worked with CJ Pony Parts to create product-focused copywriting,

product photos and videos, and installation guides. This makes buying aftermarket products a simple process, which increases conversions.

CJ Pony Parts relies on us for their custom search engine optimization package, which includes quarterly SEO audits, keyword analysis, link building, and ongoing content creation. This allows them to rise to the top spot in searches for Mustang products and accessories.

Our pay-per-click ad creation and management, along with our multi-channel remarketing and keyword targeting planning have helped them achieve their goals as well.

A large amount of success has also come from the long-form content we've created and distributed for them. We've designed everything from how-to guides to detailed blog posts to vehicle-related infographics.

Sharretts Plating

We worked with Sharretts Plating to design a website that's modern and highlights the company's electroplating capabilities.

Our goal was to provide potential customers with detailed information on the metals that can be plated, while still maintaining a simple design. We also wanted to draw more attention to their free quote form, since it's their primary source of new leads.

Sharretts Plating also took

advantage of our SEO knowledge and expertise to stand out from other electroplating companies online. When we designed their website, we did so with search in mind. This allowed their products and services to be more visible to potential customers.

In addition to SEO, Sharretts Plating invested in a content marketing plan in order to attract visitors searching for information on plating. Long-form articles were created to explain services they offer, when each type of plating should be used, and how the company performs specific processes.

Ceramcor is one of our longest-running SEO clients. Most recently, they worked with us to meet the mobile-first browsing habits of their customers with a reponsive redesign of their cookware site.

Our goal was to modernize their identity, create an easy, intuitive online shopping experience, and convert customers and keep them coming back.

We worked directly with the guys at Ceramcor to finalize the overall

layout, shopping cart user experience, and any additional requests and considerations that came up.

In addition to a complete redesign, we used Facebook and Twitter to run promotional campaigns and contests to spread the word about holiday specials. This resulted in an additional 5k followers on Facebook and 2.5k followers on Twitter.

The results spoke for themselves. Ceramcor saw an 85% increase in total annual revenue, a 12% increase in conversions, and a 60% decrease in their bounce rate.

Ocean City, New Jersey is a world famous seashore community located in the heart of the Jersey Shore.

Our goal was to add a new, fresh look to the website that would emphasize the family atmosphere of Ocean City, while also maintaining a sophisticated air. The website highlights things to do at Ocean City, upcoming events, local businesses and real estate.

We also created a custom Google map in order to

promote the various downtown and boardwalk businesses of Ocean City.

In addition, we created a mobile-friendly version of the website to meet the demand of incoming traffic from mobile devices. The new mobile site focuses on the four most visited areas of the website: where to stay, things to do, where to shop and places to eat. It also features a mobile-friendly map that allows visitors to find local attractions.

As a result of our efforts, overall website traffic increased 87%, page views increased 129%, time spent on the site increased 41%, conversion rates increased 40%, and the bounce rate decreased by 11%.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're open to feedback and try to meet all of our needs. I'm quite a difficult client and I ask them a lot of questions, but they're very accommodating. If they make a mistake, they're great at acknowledging it, making up for it, and putting together a plan to make sure it doesn't happen again. For example, when we wrapped up our first quarter, we had a couple of issues with a few posts that were linking to the wrong sites. After I expressed my concern, they put together a new action plan.

I would like the two people I work with to talk and strategize internally rather than expect me to talk to each of them separately.

There is nobody here who works on IT or anything that has to do with social media. Since working with them our SEO rankings have all increased. They have also written some really good pieces of content for us. They wrote one in particular that—for people not in the boat business—was really accurate and insightful.

How did WebpageFX perform from a project management standpoint?

One of the nice things about them is that they have been very consistent at staying in touch with us. We have an in-person meeting at least once a month, and they are great at keeping in communication. We mostly talk over the phone, but they also produce reports for us as needed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

At other companies everyone is really focused on SEO at the beginning. However, down the line they eventually have turnover or shift priorities and all of a sudden we are paying people to do SEO that aren’t really great at it. WebpageFX has clearly made it their goal to be a leader in SEO, and they have a great corporate structure that reflects that goal. Whereas before we never heard from anybody, we speak with WebpageFX at least once a month to stay updated on everything, and they are never going to change their priorities or expertise.

There is nothing I can think of for them to change. They’re communicating with me and letting me know that things are getting done, so I don’t have any criticism.

Take the time to answer their questions and enable them to do their best work. I am never short of things to do, but I think I owe it to my company and to WebpageFX to give them feedback so that they can do their job better. What challenge were you trying to address with WebpageFX?

We were working with another SEO company, but we were not seeing great results. We needed a new vendor, so we found WebpageFX, which is one of the top-ranking SEO companies in the country.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They started out with targeting low competition keywords that can help someone who has already refined their search. Then, they moved on to high competition keywords and helped us improve our landing pages.

What is the team composition?

We primarily work with one person. The first person they assigned to us was not on the same page with us in terms of communication. We immediately switched to a different member of their team and we've had an amazing experience with her.

How did you come to work with them?

They have a great reputation and wonderful reviews on their website. The first time we talked, I was impressed that they were able to figure out our top keywords and pointed out the things our competitors were doing and we were not. Besides, they had experience working with national companies, which is exactly what we are, so we decided to give them a chance.

How much have you invested with them?

We pay them $2,000 a month.

We started working with them in January 2017 and the relationship is ongoing.

All of our leads come through PPC and SEO. We needed help with our SEO and we didn't have enough people in-house to handle that, so we were looking to outsource a company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They've done a lot of work around the long-form content for blogs and put more copy onto our website pages with a keyword-related focus. In addition, they added more organization to the website, bolstered the page flow, and improved our product descriptions. They also put a few backlinks on other reputable websites.

What is the team composition?

We mostly work with our account manager, who has a team underneath him. We’ve also worked with their director for business development, who was part of the sales process.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent between $10,000–$20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in January 2018 and the relationship is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There was a subtle increase in traffic. They told us it'd be at least four months before we would see any changes in traffic and we've now reached that four-month mark. For us, a conversion is anytime someone makes an online purchase, calls us through our website, or fills out a quote inquiry online. They've created a custom report through Google Data Studios that allows us to track that.

How did they perform from a project management standpoint?

They're very organized and execute everything on time. We use Basecamp to stay up-to-date with the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They make themselves available whenever we need them. Besides, they’re very responsive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wish they paid more attention to our branding (that said, our brand could be improved and that would be an add-on service for them). For example, we have a couple of economy pedestals, and WebpageFX suggested that one of our product pages should be for economy pedestals (that would allow us to capture the traffic). While there are some people who are searching for cheap pedestals, I wanted to find a way to capture the organic traffic without creating a page just for cheap pedestals.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear about your needs and the scope of their services before the project begins. A lot of companies that use SEO vendors don't fully grasp what SEO is.

We basically needed to improve the SEO of our website. We had a pretty old side build on an outdated CMS and need to increase our web traffic in order to grow our sales.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started with an all-organic SEO campaign before expanding into PPC and earned media link building. We eventually decided to build a new website to replace our outdated one. We built the site ourselves, but WebpageFX definitely had influence.

Their main focus now is content building. This includes short and long form content building, from small 300 or 400 word pieces to blog posts and specialty pages that can be 3,000 words. They have also done videos and video promotion for us, as well as all types of traditional paid marketing.

What is the team composition?

We have had a personal agent and main point of contact for our entire partnership with WebpageFX.

How much have you invested with them?

We have them on a retainer that comes out to around $4,000 a month.

What is the status of this engagement?

We have been working with them since January 2013.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In the two months after we launched with them our B2C sales went up by 500% and from 2012–2013 we grew 60% in overall web sales. Since then we have not had the same kind of growth after Google changed some of their marketing procedures, but our revenue did go up last year and we are on track to grow again this year.

Overall, they have been able to do everything we've ever asked them, and if they're not able to do it in-house they have a place they can outsource it to. They have always been able to do development work when we need it and they have great copywriters. Working with them has been a great experience.

How did WebpageFX perform on a project management standpoint?

They use Basecamp and their own software for all project management. It is very easy to communicate with them, and they are always responsive to requests.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I would have to say the personal service. We're a small business and have worked with WebpageFX since they were a small company at a tech incubator. Now they're humongous, but they still offer us the same level of personalized service that they offered six years ago when we started working with them. I've had the same point of contact ever since I started there and communication is always forthcoming. It's not always been a perfect relationship, but I think it's always been a productive one.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes I wish they'd give us more information than they do, but in most cases communication is top notch. Additionally, we have found that our sales have recently grown stagnate and we would like to see more overall growth. This is not because WebpageFX isn’t doing their job; we just would like to see more sustained increases.

Find somebody to work with and give them a chance to show you what they can do, because WebpageFX definitely did.
