CJ Pony Parts wanted to give customers easy access to the aftermarket parts and products they need in order to improve their vehicle. We designed their menu and search options to allow shoppers on both mobile and desktop to browse the exact year their Mustang falls into. Additional filters can be selected from there.

When it comes to ecommerce, we worked with CJ Pony Parts to create product-focused copywriting, product

photos and videos, and installation guides. This makes buying aftermarket products a simple process, which increases conversions.

CJ Pony Parts relies on us for their custom search engine optimization package, which includes quarterly SEO audits, keyword analysis, link building, and ongoing content creation. This allows them to rise to the top spot in searches for Mustang products and accessories.

Our pay-per-click ad creation and management, along with our multi-channel remarketing and keyword targeting planning have helped them achieve their goals as well.

Ceramcor is one of our longest-running SEO clients. Most recently, they worked with us to meet the mobile-first browsing habits of their customers with a reponsive redesign of their cookware site.

Our goal was to modernize their identity, create an easy, intuitive online shopping experience, and convert customers and keep them coming back.

We worked directly with the guys at Ceramcor to finalize the overall

layout, shopping cart user experience, and any additional requests and considerations that came up.

In addition to a complete redesign, we used Facebook and Twitter to run promotional campaigns and contests to spread the word about holiday specials. This resulted in an additional 5k followers on Facebook and 2.5k followers on Twitter.

Our goal was to add a new, fresh look to the website that would emphasize the family atmosphere of Ocean City, while also maintaining a sophisticated air. The website highlights things to do at Ocean City, upcoming events, local businesses and real estate.

We also created a custom Google map in order to promote

the various downtown and boardwalk businesses of Ocean City.

In addition, we created a mobile-friendly version of the website to meet the demand of incoming traffic from mobile devices. The new mobile site focuses on the four most visited areas of the website: where to stay, things to do, where to shop and places to eat. It also features a mobile-friendly map that allows visitors to find local attractions.

As a result of our efforts, overall website traffic increased 87%, page views increased 129%, time spent on the site increased 41%, conversion rates increased 40%, and the bounce rate decreased by 11%.

We chose to switch to them from another provider because we were unhappy with our position in Google search results. We had some experience with WebFX on a previous, unrelated engagement and had a good experience, so we decided to reach out to them.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They came into this engagement with an understanding of what we needed because we’d worked with them in the past on an unrelated project. They did a complete web design overhaul. Our site describes our legal practice and attorneys, and it supports contact information input from potential clients. They integrated a live chat feature. In addition, they provide SEO services, including keyword targeting. We originally ran our paid advertising through a third-party vendor, but we discontinued that service because the quality of WebFX's work on our organic search was so impressive.

Curtis (Lead Internet Marketing Consultant, WebFX) has been our point of contact. Bill is the owner, but Curtis is the person who manages our account.

How did you come to work with WebFX?

We first became acquainted with Bill while working on a separate project that was unrelated to legal services. We had such a good experience then, that it made sense to consider him and his team for our current project.

We started working with them in 2014 and the engagement is ongoing.

From the outset, we've seen positive growth in lead generation through every area of our practice. They’ve consistently placed us at the top of Google search results.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

Curtis is available by phone call and email, but he prefers to meet with us in person. He’ll stop by our location, or we’ll visit him. WebFX has a very cool campus-style setup in downtown Harrisburg. We’ll discuss the progress on their end and what work needs to be done, and make decisions on how to proceed based on that. We also suggest new ideas and projects for them, and if they think they can do it, we ask them to make a budget estimate and draft a sketch of what the deliverable might look like. Based on these meetings, I can say that it's all been positive and it’s going in the right direction.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their staff really understands our services and how to customize and implement it. Our partnership is very hands-off, which shows a high level of trust. It’s effortless on our part. And they’re always ahead of any changes in the processes they deal with, which gives us a great deal of comfort. We’d had issues with that in previous vendor relationships, but we don’t expect them to be caught off-guard by anything.

Our managing company had used WebFX at another property to promote their premium restaurants. The project went well, so we wanted to do the same for our hotel.

We have a monthly payment plan with them.

What is the status of this engagement? 

WebFX was already working on the project when I joined in late 2017. Since then, we’ve continued to engage them and have a one-year contract.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Each month, they provide a report on all of our site metrics, including traffic and clickthrough volume. In January alone, the landing page for one of our long-form content pieces saw a 230% increase in views. Another blog post had a 122% increase, and the main site’s organic traffic grew by 21%. As for conversions, we’ve had 14 online reservations, one private dining contact, and 19 phone calls.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

We’re very satisfied with their customer service, and their performance is top-notch. Any time we’ve made a request or had an issue, they’ve always followed through within 24 hours. We mostly communicate through email but also have a monthly conference call.

A colleague recommended WebFX to us. We were disappointed with our previous vendor and looking for someone that could work with our CMS and handle our issues quickly. Further, they had to be willing to provide detailed explanations of their work beyond what’s typically expected.

They provide strategy and creative development, media planning and buying, and campaign execution, tracking, and reporting. I manage the projects currently in progress, review WebFX’s reports, and ensure their efforts are aligned with our team's needs.

The size of the team has grown over the course of the project, but I speak with a web specialist, an internet marketing expert, and a social team lead. There are more dedicated people that I don’t speak to as well.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We easily surpassed our goals for 2018, seeing a significant lift in new traffic and conversions. Cost per acquisition also dropped.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We couldn't ask for a better workflow, communicating via Basecamp and phone calls. While we have increased the frequency of our phone check-ins, their communication couldn’t be clearer. Their team is incredible.

They’re always willing to help us, and there hasn’t been a question they couldn’t find a compelling answer to. When they need to take their time and get back to me, they actually get back to me.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebFX?

In 2015, we launched an e-commerce website, and we hired WebFX to manage our SEO and PPC campaigns.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We rely on WebFX to research keywords and write content related to popular search terms. For instance, they noticed a high number of searches for how to taste red wine or searches for which wine to pair with a certain dish. WebFX writes relevant content and boosts it to drive traffic. They also coordinate our paid search campaigns on Google Ads.

What is the team composition?

I work with an account manager.

How did you come to work with WebFX?

My predecessor in this role hired WebFX, and when I took over, I didn’t want to make any changes because our results were very promising.

How much have you invested with them?

They take a 15% management fee on the amount we spend on PPC. For SEO, we spend $3,550 per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement began in 2015 and remains ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our results from each campaign have improved each year we’ve worked together. We took a big hit in 2016 because spirits could no longer be shipped, but WebFX managed to grow our revenue nonetheless. From 2017 to 2018, they reached a 20-to-1 ROI for our PPC campaign, helping us jump from $974,000 in revenue to $1.485 million. During that same period, our SEO revenue grew from $764,000 to $946,000. All told, that’s about a $700,000 increase from two campaigns in one year.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

We use a tool similar to Basecamp to communicate and track all of our activity. Their communication is second-to-none. I never have questions about what they’re doing or how successful the campaigns are because they provide me with reports before I ask for them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate their attention to detail more than anything. Some customers might complain that they don’t know how effective their advertising is. Because of WebFX’s diligence, I know the effectiveness of every dollar I spend. I know what our ROI is for SEO and PPC at all times.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they have not underperformed in any way.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

When I first started, I had a preference for another SEO company, but WebFX asked me to trust them. I can only recommend that other clients do the same. It’s also important to be attentive to their reports. The more information and feedback you can give them, the more successful the campaign will be.

We have two websites, our main site and a secondary site for a particular group within our firm. We wanted to improve our SEO and optimize our websites to increase lead generation.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebFX provides SEO support including keywords and blog content. They’ve provided graphic design for our websites as well as necessary work on the backend. They also helped set up our Google My Business and Google Quick Answers.

We work with an account manager who is our primary liaison.

I'm not sure how we found WebFX as that was before my time. I think we found them through another vendor we worked with.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend about $3,000 per month.

We started working together in early 2016 and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve seen huge increases in traffic. From last month to this one alone, we've seen a 40% increase in leads and 29% in sessions. A number of our attorneys have seen 50% increases in visits to their bio pages. We’ve also had impacts for specific pages. For example, we’ve done a lot of PR for our labor and employment group—which has seen a 78% increase in traffic to those pages.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

We started with a one account manager and transitioned to our current one when she left the company. The transition was a little bumpy but he’s been fantastic.

We use Basecamp to communicate and for project management. His communication is very effective. If I email him, he responds right away. Everything is transparent in Basecamp. We can see exactly what they’re working on. They also provide us with monthly reports of activities completed, goals accomplished, and what needs work.

He also does a great job working with our attorneys. They’re not easy to work with given how busy they are but he manages to always meet deadlines. If there are any delays, they’re on our end.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their expertise in so many facets of SEO. Our account manager is a great sounding board if we have questions. He always comes up with good ideas and is willing to help. Having that kind of expert that you can bounce ideas off of or ask questions to has been really helpful.

Are there any areas they could improve?

WebFX works with a lot of law firms but I think we’re a different sort of firm. We’re a corporate law firm. We don’t advertise on buses or billboards. A few of the past account managers didn’t seem to really understand that. They might want to expand the realm of law firms they work with so they can adjust their approach more easily.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be transparent about your needs and expectations. Set goals for what you want to accomplish with your site and through your SEO. Also, ask them any questions you have so that they can gear their approach to your needs.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebFX?

When I started in this role, I found that the website hadn’t been updated in the past 10 years. It was extremely archaic, so I was looking for a vendor to help us modernize it.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our first initiative was updating the website to meet the modern design standards for our industry. Because our internal team was technically inexperienced, we relied heavily on the WebFX team to advise and lead this project. They used WordPress as the base platform and implemented several SEO strategies that targeted relevant keywords and phrases. They continue to provide quarterly reports on those campaigns.

Most recently, we worked with the WebFX team on an animated how-to video on repairing powder coating. A couple of years back, I helped a client repair some heavy-duty steel we’d provided them. While on-site, I took pictures of the work. Once we decided to make a video, we shared those photos with WebFX, and they edited them together.

We’re still working with their team. We’d like to make another video with them, and we plan on discussing that with them very soon. They’ve also done some competitor analysis for us over the years, which has helped us establish a place in the market. Currently, they’re working on getting us linked on some of our vendor’s websites.

What is the team composition?

They’ve provided a variety of resources to work on our project. Our account is pretty simple compared to the other clients they work with, so sometimes they assign new teammates to work with us for experience—and they’ve all been great. Our current main point of contact is fantastic.

How did you come to work with WebFX?

One of our directors recommended them. I met with Bill (President & Co-founder, WebFX), and we signed a contract with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We pay them $700 each month.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2008, and it’s an ongoing relationship.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

If any of our new customers are within driving distance, I visit them in person and ask where they learned about us. On one occasion, we were installing a 65-foot-long flagpole for a client. The owner of the company said he found us through our website, and that he was blown away by how it represented our company.

One of the biggest benefits of our partnership with WebFX is the project gallery they included in our website. Potential clients can compare their needs to our past work, and reach out if they think we’re the right fit. It’s really increased our market awareness.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

We schedule an in-person meeting once each quarter, and I speak to the project manager once a month, depending on the workload.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re a full-service vendor. When we assign them a project, they provide us with a timeline that details our responsibilities, our assignments, and any projected delivery dates. WebFX consistently completes their work before their initial estimate. They finished the animated video about two weeks early. I can trust their team to do their best in everything we assign them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Overall, they’re doing great. I’d like them to provide me with email addresses of everyone who visited the website, but I understand that the technology for that isn’t out there yet. They offered to maintain constant contact with our existing customers, but that doesn’t really fit our market. As long as they continue securing new customers for us, we can’t complain about their services.

Any advice for potential customers?

I recommend new clients visit their team in person to see what the team is capable of and make sure it fits with their vision and requirements.

Their communication approach has been amazing. The internet marketer calls us monthly with metrics updates and gives us suggestions for moving forward. Using their project management tool, we’re able to view their check-list and stay informed on what they’re working on.

What challenge were you trying to address with WebFX?

Previously, we’d had virtually no search engine presence and were doing nothing for digital marketing or SEO. Over our 21-year history, we built the company by attending numerous tradeshows and using traditional forms of marketing like magazines and ads on websites. 

Several years ago, we realized we were falling behind and needed to hire a marketing agency to help us improve our website and online presence.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebFX used a very detail-oriented process. They planned the scope of work and gathered extensive information about our company, history, and products. Since they were new to the reusable packaging world, we had to get them up to speed with the terminology. They’ve come a long way and now possess considerable knowledge about our industry from working with us. 

Our internal team looked over the strategy WebFX compiled and decided that SEO was our greatest need. We identified the specific areas we wanted to dominate online. Increasing lead generation through the website had been our major focus over the last two years. WebFX put together a plan and continues to execute on it. We do PPC ads with them as well, including a Google Ads campaign.

What is the team composition? 

I’ve mostly worked with Jordan (Internet Marketing Analyst, WebFX). He’s a rock star and acts as an extension of my internal marketing team.

How did you come to work with WebFX?

Before I began working for the company, they searched online for a vendor, read reviews, and considered 20 different marketing agencies. After interviewing several companies, they chose WebFX. Their office is not too far from our corporate headquarters. 

As a dynamic agency, we knew they could definitely deliver. My company felt comfortable and confident with WebFX’s reputation and the skills their team had, which is why they won our business.

How much have you invested with them?

We have WebFX on a monthly retainer of $3,000. On a monthly basis, our ad spend is $1,000, and the management fees are $325, which I find reasonable.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since April 2016.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We surpassed last year’s total website visitors by mid-October this year. Year over year, we continue to shatter our numbers working with WebFX. Last year, we similarly broke the previous year’s record by around November or October. Beneficially, the monthly ad spend has remained the same since we first started for the last two years. For 2017 and 2018, we’ve had amazing gains so far. The results drastically improve from month to month, usually with between 20%-40% gains over the previous year.

One of the most important things we added to our efforts this year was posting new content. We have a very active bimonthly blog through our website that we share with our social media channels. It’s an excellent tool that has allowed us to attract more visitors continuously. We’ve made some incredible gains together over the last two years.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

Jordan (Internet Marketing Analyst, WebFX) is not only a great person but also extremely organized and detail-oriented. He’s highly proactive, contributes great ideas, and does an excellent job with communication. He’s been on the ball to address all our concerns for any type of issue.

WebFX hasn’t missed a single deadline. They've planned an agenda that covers everything we’re trying to achieve. We meet every month to recap our progress. At times, we talk on the phone weekly. We have lots of email exchange and dialogue. We plan what we want to achieve on a quarterly basis based on the available funds in the budget.

To track metrics, WebFX uses a combination of Google Analytics and the proprietary system they created. We have access to both those systems which show us our areas of strength and weakness, so we know how to target better progress.

What did you find most impressive about them?

WebFX contributes great ideas and executes on our plans. They’re fantastic.  As a goal-oriented team with many resources at their disposal, they help us accomplish our objectives. If Jordan can’t give me an answer, he puts me in touch with someone who can. 

They have in-depth knowledge of the industry and take a proactive approach to educating their employees. We have a great relationship. I even had the opportunity to tour their corporate headquarters this year. Every time I’m scheduled to talk to Jordan, I look forward to the call. 

WebFX is an amazing company with an incredible corporate culture.  I was blown away by their office. Philanthropy is important to me, and I’m impressed by all the charities they donate to. We have a great relationship and are so happy with them that we won’t let anyone else touch our SEO. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

WebFX is offering new services that incorporate video and bringing other CRM tools to the table. Their company is continually hiring people and expanding its services and ideas to different areas. We’re not taking advantage of all these offerings yet. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Everyone on the team is trained appropriately and extensively knowledgeable. I’d congratulate anyone who hired WebFX for making a great choice. We’ve had nothing but positive results and feedback from working together. I can’t say enough good things about them.
