CJ Pony Parts

CJ Pony Parts wanted to give customers easy access to the aftermarket parts and products they need in order to improve their vehicle. We designed their menu and search options to allow shoppers on both mobile and desktop to browse the exact year their Mustang falls into. Additional filters can be selected from there.

When it comes to ecommerce, we worked with CJ Pony Parts to create product-focused copywriting,

product photos and videos, and installation guides. This makes buying aftermarket products a simple process, which increases conversions.

CJ Pony Parts relies on us for their custom search engine optimization package, which includes quarterly SEO audits, keyword analysis, link building, and ongoing content creation. This allows them to rise to the top spot in searches for Mustang products and accessories.

Our pay-per-click ad creation and management, along with our multi-channel remarketing and keyword targeting planning have helped them achieve their goals as well.

A large amount of success has also come from the long-form content we've created and distributed for them. We've designed everything from how-to guides to detailed blog posts to vehicle-related infographics.

We worked with Sharretts Plating to design a website that's modern and highlights the company's electroplating capabilities.

Our goal was to provide potential customers with detailed information on the metals that can be plated, while still maintaining a simple design. We also wanted to draw more attention to their free quote form, since it's their primary source of new leads.

Sharretts Plating also took

advantage of our SEO knowledge and expertise to stand out from other electroplating companies online. When we designed their website, we did so with search in mind. This allowed their products and services to be more visible to potential customers.

In addition to SEO, Sharretts Plating invested in a content marketing plan in order to attract visitors searching for information on plating. Long-form articles were created to explain services they offer, when each type of plating should be used, and how the company performs specific processes.

Ceramcor is one of our longest-running SEO clients. Most recently, they worked with us to meet the mobile-first browsing habits of their customers with a reponsive redesign of their cookware site.

Our goal was to modernize their identity, create an easy, intuitive online shopping experience, and convert customers and keep them coming back.

We worked directly with the guys at Ceramcor to finalize the overall

layout, shopping cart user experience, and any additional requests and considerations that came up.

In addition to a complete redesign, we used Facebook and Twitter to run promotional campaigns and contests to spread the word about holiday specials. This resulted in an additional 5k followers on Facebook and 2.5k followers on Twitter.

Ocean City, New Jersey is a world famous seashore community located in the heart of the Jersey Shore.

Our goal was to add a new, fresh look to the website that would emphasize the family atmosphere of Ocean City, while also maintaining a sophisticated air. The website highlights things to do at Ocean City, upcoming events, local businesses and real estate.

We also created a custom Google map in order to

promote the various downtown and boardwalk businesses of Ocean City.

In addition, we created a mobile-friendly version of the website to meet the demand of incoming traffic from mobile devices. The new mobile site focuses on the four most visited areas of the website: where to stay, things to do, where to shop and places to eat. It also features a mobile-friendly map that allows visitors to find local attractions.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We rely on WebFX to lead the SEO and PPC campaigns, primarily with Google Ads but sometimes with Bing, as well. Their team also conducted an initial keyword analysis and put together a proposal that drove most of the other efforts. Our client has a content creator in place that they are comfortable with, but WebFX advises them on how to improve the content strategy using the keyword analysis they provided. Additionally, WebFX performs some link building work, and they have made website redesign and functionality updates. Finally, we’ve contracted them to do a special analysis of the website to determine how people are using the site. From that report, we collected heat maps to see if the layout was optimal for conversions.

We initially interacted with a client acquisition representative, but once we agreed to terms, Anthony (Internet Marketing Consultant, WebFX) assumed full responsibility of our account.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since working with WebFX, our client has seen growth in the performance of the website from an organic and direct standpoint. Overall visits to the site have increased by about 20%, and there has been a 20–30% increase in inquiries and leads generated. We plan to continue working with WebFX because I think they have us on an excellent trajectory to where we want to be.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

Anthony is one of the best I’ve worked with in terms of communicating clearly and consistently. He keeps track of our projects and addresses our concerns promptly. I’d say this is the area they’ve excelled the most at. Their overall account management and responsiveness have been excellent.

Comparing our recent June 2018–2019 period to the same time in 2014, we’ve seen a 148.49% increase in organic visits, an almost 203% increase in organic users, and a 54.5% increase in overall online revenue.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

I appreciate that they send us highlights along with our monthly report because they understand that we’re busy. They let us know which key points to look at and note any areas that we might consider changing. Whether it’s increasing our ad spend for camps or clubs, they know where our money should go to best help our cause.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Working with WebFX is like paying a part-time employee to do a critical role really well. We count on them for everything. If we’re looking at a social media campaign, we know that we can send it to Jason to review, and he’ll be completely honest with us. Even though we’re probably his smallest account, I think he keeps us because he likes us.

On top of that, Jason is great at understanding what we do and suggests new ways to be helpful. For example, he knew that we didn’t have time to do blogs, so he had his team take over the process. They now write amazing content. It’s their ability to identify places where we need support that stands out. Every little bit helps.

We engaged WebFX to help us build a website and manage our SEO campaigns.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WebFX built a WordPress site that we could edit and maintain ourselves. We also relied on WebFX to create content for several website pages. We provided them with background information on specific topics, and they created pages upon pages of content. I wrote a few pages myself, but their team wrote most of them, which I later edited. We conducted extensive research into which keywords we wanted to target, so all of WebFX’s efforts were geared toward those SEO terms.

The site’s key feature that we didn’t have before is a dealer locator that shows users their three closest dealers for our products. We wanted the results limited to three so that our competitors couldn’t find an entire list of our dealers. That same feature disables if our website determines too many clicks had come from the same IP address. Additionally, we now have a tab on the site that provides information and forms for people who want to become dealers of our products.

Our other main concern was diversifying the layout of the site from one product to the next, so on each of the pages for heating pellets and cooking pellets, there is a different layout and color scheme.

What is the team composition?

We work with one website project manager and another manager for internet marketing.

How did you come to work with WebFX?

Our company had worked with WebFX in the past—before I took over in this position. I engaged them again to see if they could be of any further help for this new project. I felt comfortable selecting them because they have a lot of positive online reviews and an impressive portfolio. They are also local to the extent that I drive by their office every day on my way home. Being able to meet with them in person was a point in their favor.

Our engagement began in April 2018 and remains ongoing. The site launched in October 2018, and we have continued our SEO efforts and website maintenance since then.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our website has earned a new link every month or so, which has increased our domain authority, and we’ve seen significant increases in overall site traffic, leads, and forms that users complete. For example, from January 2018—before the site launched—to January 2019, we saw new users visiting the site increase by 416%. In terms of the design, the website has exceeded our expectations.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

Our project managers were both very experienced and knowledgeable. I’m thankful they were able to pass down some of that wisdom to my team. We communicate very well through Basecamp, phone calls, and in-person meetings. Our team caused the only significant delay when we were trying to determine how to switch our domain to a new hosting company. WebFX, by comparison, pretty much met every deadline. We agreed to a few minor delays so that we could ensure everything was correct, but overall, I was never disappointed in our scheduling or felt that we were behind.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed by their experience and expertise in a field that I had no familiarity with before this project. We also found it beneficial to work with a larger company. There are a lot of different minds at WebFX that can help problem-solve. That’s something we may not have gotten at a smaller firm.

Are there any areas they could improve?

WebFX offers almost everything we could need except for email signature marketing. They do email marketing but not email signature marketing, which would include having a pretty signature, of course, but also a banner advertisement on the bottom to generate clicks back to the website. I’m surprised that they don’t currently offer that.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My team is now spending time adding keywords to target that we should have considered initially. My advice is to spend more time focusing on the ideal keywords at the beginning of the project to avoid a similar situation.

I don't think so. There's more they could do for us, but we aren't taking advantage of everything they have to offer. We're happy they're able to work within our budget and still deliver such great results.

Be patient. If another vendor claims they can provide results in just a few months, their SEO strategy is probably short-term, whereas WebFX takes a more strategic approach that generates more results in the long run.

Even though we are a small company on a tight budget, WebFX treats us with the same respect as a large company. They offer a wide range of services, from huge national SEO to local content-marketing, the latter of which we use. Their team educates and trains my team at every step. They’ve gone above and beyond to show us how specific AI tools work, such as a tool that tracks our website traffic and that of our competitors. The insights that we gain from these tools drive our strategy.

WebFX developed a standard WordPress site with a menu bar and subpages. Users can navigate through the website, filling out our contact form and signing up for our email distribution list. To drive traffic, they created pop-ups that appear throughout the site that convince users to sign up. Their team set up integration with MailChimp and write all of our email content. They researched topics to write about, and we provided them with input. WebFX also helps with search. They craft keywords, and we give them approval. We plan on using our savings from Google Ads to go into other services they offer.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

All of their communication is done through Basecamp, and all of the reporting is done through Google Data Studio. We can effectively communicate and visualize our results using those tools. They’re excellent at staying on top of everything. We’ve had no complaints about any of the account managers we’ve worked with. Jordan is consistent and helpful. We have a monthly call scheduled. I asked him to set deadlines for us when they need our feedback. He makes sure everyone does their job, even us, effectively. Jordan adjusted how he works with us, based on how we work back with him.

What did you find most impressive about them?

WebFX works hard to take time off of me. Jordan is a pleasure to work with. He’s organized and kind. WebFX cares about improving our business.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think they’re doing an excellent job. I review and look for a price or service benchmark every few years, and they seem to be competitive. I don’t think there’s anything that I would suggest as far as what they’re doing with us. I can’t comment on the other services they perform.

It’s helpful to set up an expectation level with the account manager, regarding how much the client should be involved. WebFX will know what to expect and will adjust their schedule and timing accordingly.
