Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the India Coordinator for the knowledge resource platform known as 'Asia Power Quality Initiative' . This is an open access platform for capacity building and awareness creation on 'Power Quality' amongst various stakeholders across SE Asia and Asia region. Good power quality is essential for any digital economy.

For what projects/services did your company hire Web Techneeq, and what were your goals?

Our website was created in year 2006-07 under EU Switch program assistance. Subsequently being knowledge portal the website became resource heavy and performance became an issue. Besides there have been numerous attacks on the website crippling it at times since our web server is outsourced.

Neither we have any internal resource person to manage day to day uptime, updating, and SEO hence we opted to revamp the website from earlier word press based platform to make it more stable and dynamic in response with growing visitors and dedicated registered stakeholders expecting regular mailer or update on PQ

How did you select Web Techneeq and what were the deciding factors?

We have earlier availed their services for developing inventory and database management tools for in house use besides they have been providing very satisfactory services for our associations website www.copperindia.org .

Besides they are highly time oriented qualitative delivery focused though a bit higher on financial side. It makes sense to assess the overall cost vis a vis reputation and credibility of a 'Knowledge Portal'

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Objective was to have PHP based platform for already existing website and transferring huge amount of web resource from existing platform.

Key aim was to Secure the website from unauthorized access by developing it with the latest stable PHP Version, To add better membership features while registering users – Goal is to create a genuine database of users for future engagement, Create a website which can be scalable at any given point of time. Member Role Specific Access of Resources Various phases were involved.

Planning Phase This phase includes, Creating the site map, Organizing content and identifying where information will go Development Phase Once we were all on the same page, the build begun. This part includes, Design UI/UX for the Landing Page, HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap compliance, Adding content to the website, Optimization for mobile, Resource Downloads and other Interactive Features.

Testing & Beta Phase After the nuts and bolts of new website have been created, it’s time to see it in action. This phase includes, Code and browser testing, Analytics setup, through Google or others, to capture site user data, Putting the site to work to see how it handles video, images, text, and then making necessary adjustments Launch Phase This is the most exciting moment of the website design.

This phase includes, New site host setup, and Going live

How many people from the Web Techneeq team worked with you, and what were their positions?

A single point contact as Project Manager backed up by Web Designer, PHP Coder and SEO functional manager. In total four persons team from Web Techneeq facilitated us.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Post the launching of revamped website the redesigned looks and ease of access are commended by APQI stakeholders. We also saw traffic growth though COVID had dampened the year 2020. On SEO we being a knowledge platform were happy to see apqi.org maintaining top three positions.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

In initial phase the project manager gave us regular brief and later twice in week. This was further supported by Excel based spreadsheet indicating progress of work and transfer of web resource from old server to new location cloud based. Both communication and maintaining timeline is engaging and observed as committed.

One thing is clear if they are given inputs and feedbacks on time by client side then there is no room to complain. Highly professional and quality conscious worth the $ spent.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have given us a great looking website that is easy to navigate and functionally dynamic. We do not have in house resource so we depend on outsourced entity who lived upto our expectations, trust and delivered more than we demanded. They knew their subject well, and the team was competent and committed.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There has been few cross linkage issues but those were addressed very fast once brought to the concerned PM's notice from our side.
