They did a great job with project management. VR Vision met every single one of our targets and actually improved upon our plans. The team was also professional and responsive. Everyone was eager to be part of the project, even their CEO. We communicated through emails, in-office meetings, and Zoom calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
VR Vision was highly dedicated and accommodating — they wanted to deliver what we needed while remaining very innovative. Additionally, the team had just the right amount of expertise to produce high-quality work. Overall, we were thrilled with our partnership.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a partner and regional manager of a telecom provider in Toronto, Canada. We provide fiber internet for large condominium buildings in downtown Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal.
What challenge were you trying to address with VR Vision?
We hired VR Vision to train our new sales reps and technicians, and help them get up to speed quicker and more efficiently. This is so we can minimize the level of errors when providing our service.
What was the scope of their involvement?
VR Vision came on board and they helped us develop a full simulation for our sales reps and technicians. They use a combination of predictive video and simulation that basically teaches them to go over the install process.
We initially came to them with an idea of what we envisioned. It wasn’t a hard app, we were just asking them to simplify the process using 360° universal technology.
What is the team composition?
We mostly communicate with David (Director of Development) and Alex (Director of Innovation).
How did you come to work with VR Vision?
We previously worked with an offshore tech startup that did some stuff for us. We did a Google search for immersive technologies and surprisingly, VR Vision came up as the number one or two search result. We decided to give them a shot and they ended up being a lot better than the company we were using at the time.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested more than $240,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in December 2020, and the partnership is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The biggest thing at the top of my head is the fact that the sales team is a lot more forward now — they know what they have to do. Additionally, our technicians are also producing fewer errors.
VR Vision improved the time spent training somebody that’s not up to speed. The quality of their work is pretty much the industry standard. Also, I didn’t feel that I'm out of the loop with everything that’s happening at any point in the partnership. It would take literally minutes for them to have answers to our questions about the app.
How did VR Vision perform from a project management standpoint?
The communication and project management are mostly done over Slack, and as far as the tools of the trade, we use a lot of their headsets. They were able to ship out a demo unit to us and move forward with that.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’re impressed by three main things. One is dependability, as they’re always quick and to the point. Two is how they’re able to adjust the lines of communications, as they’re all active workers. Lastly, it’s their workmanship and how much knowledge they have in this space.
We’re also impressed that there’s actually less back and forth between our companies, considering that we’re getting new service. They definitely understand the concept of what we’re looking for and they’re able to put their own twist on it.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I would say they should improve on their limited options for hardware. This is okay with us, but it’s not always going to be the case for some people, as they might actually want to have different types of hardware that work for different applications. That would be the only thing they need to improve on, but it doesn’t really even apply to our company.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you want to work with VR Vision, my advice is to be brutally honest and have totally open lines of communication. They will get a lot of things done for you on time once you give them the right information. If you give them just a little bit of an idea, they’re obviously going to put their own twist on it because they’re professionals, so they know what they’re doing. As long as you have a clear outline of what you’re expecting and what you want, I promise you they will get it done.

I’m the director of development operations of Intertek Catalyst. We’re an employee communications company that operates in the asset protecting space. In my role, I’m accountable for all software produced by the company and responsible for vendor management.
What challenge were you trying to address with VR Vision?
We brought them on for AR/VR services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We have a campaign with a global grocery chain to provide cinematic posters around their backrooms for employees to remind them of best practices. There’s an incentivized program attached where employees can take a quiz and if they answer correctly, they’re entered into a draw. We wanted another way to get people engaged and wanted to utilize AR for that.
The global grocery chain has a partnership with a work-shoe brand. Within various months of the program, the work-shoe brand is featured and there’s an AR footprint within the posters. We developed an app so employees can scan a poster with the app. It brings the shoe to life. There are four shoes that are targeted this way.
People can scan the poster and see it in 3D. They can get a 360-degree view, see all its information, the pricing, and be directed to the website to place their order. VR Vision built the app that contains the AR for all the shoes and modeling as well as the process, logic, and workflow within the app.

We worked with about three individuals.
How did you come to work with VR Vision?
We learned about them through a reference. A superior colleague of mine had done some work with them previously.

We’ve invested $10,000–$50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing engagement started in June 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Overall, we’re happy with the deliverables. However, we experienced a few hiccups along the way. It was not so much in the quality of the AR; VR Vision’s capabilities are excellent. They take all of our models and images and make the AR sing.
We ran into a challenge because VR Vision primarily produces apps for Android only. Our request was for delivery on both iOS and Android. The process for getting the app into iOS, properly QAed, and working as expected was less than optimal. However, it was their first time through. That was a little bit of a surprise but we got through it.
How did VR Vision perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management is great. They’re great at managing their own timelines. We really learned how to understand each other and work with one another. Despite a few wrinkles, we got through everything. VR Vision manages their projects and people well. They follow through on commitments and do what it takes to get the job done.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The quality of their AR/VR work is of a much higher quality than their competitors.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Nothing more than what I’ve already said. I’d recommend them to strengthen their iOS skills. They’re as keen to get the deliverables right as we are. We appreciate that they’re willing to come to the table and have an open and honest conversation with us.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be clear upfront about what you require. Paint the full picture for VR Vision; give them the why. Additionally, ask lots of questions and qualify them as your vendor. Put them through a qualification process in terms of experience and what you intend to do.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the training manager of operations and innovation at a utilities company in the US. We own and operate upward of 70 wind farms in 26 states, including several utilities on the east coast as well as a large renewable operation based out of Portland, Oregon.
What challenge were you trying to address with VR Vision?
We have specific tasks that our technicians need to be trained on which are hard to do in real life for a number of reasons, primarily including relatively high risk surrounding large electrical currents. On top of that, we have a lot of different technology brands under our umbrella, and to train a technician on all of them we might have to fly them all over the country.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They are helping us to develop VR training capabilities in a way that mitigated both of those challenges. We chose to create the platform using Unity for Oculus Quest, which is a self-contained headset and is therefore significantly easier to ship and set up.
From there, they got to work creating the animations and procedures for our technicians based on the specifications that we provided to them about specific tasks. We worked together to create and implement criteria to measure how well those tasks are being completed, and they have also developed analytics so that we can measure those performances objectively against other data.

I worked with David (Custom Development Manager), Alex (Senior Content Producer), and Roni (CEO) on a regular basis throughout the project.
How did you come to work with VR Vision?
When I was researching the project, I just Googled industrial VR training, and they were in the top 10–15 search listings that came up. As I looked into the different types of content they had created, I really liked their attention to detail and the look and feel that they gave to all of their modules, so I decided to move forward with their team.
Their flexibility from the beginning was really important to us as well, because there’s no benchmark for projects in the VR world. We didn’t have examples to draw best practices from, so we needed a partner who was willing to just go with us where we needed to go.
How much have you invested with them?
In total, we have probably spent close to $500,000 with them for the three modules we’ve done.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in April 2019 and are continuing to work with them to build out more modules for the project.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We don’t have a lot of metric analysis of the success of the work, since we’ve only been able to run a few pilot programs and get feedback from the learners on those. Everything they’ve said about the experience, however, is extremely positive.
The modules are very close to the actual work, they totally align with our safety practices, and there’s a good amount of instruction on actually using the VR headset as well as conducting the module so that we don’t have any problems with the technology itself.
How did VR Vision perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve really done a great job of managing our work with them so far. David in particular is good about staying in contact, whether we’re in the thick of full-speed development or testing or whatever. We always had updates about exactly what progress we were making toward our deadlines, which we really appreciated.
Originally, we started out using a project management platform, but after we developed a relative amount of trust in them and the relationship, I decided that we didn’t need quite that level of visibility into their work. I prefer to let them handle it, and they’ve really excelled at keeping the project moving more on their own.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Just the quality of the work alone has made the project entirely worth it. Almost everything they create is even better than the last project, because they are incredibly committed to continuing to innovate and being the leaders in their industry, which is really tough when it comes to VR. That has helped us to stay on the cutting edge as well, which we really appreciate.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I think they’re working to grow their development resources so that they can handle more work, and that’s the only thing I would have suggested, so I really have no complaints.

Talk to David and his team and have them show you what work they’ve done for other customers, because that will give you a great picture of what they can do and whether they would be a good fit for your project.

I’m the managing partner at Access Machinery, a metal fabricating equipment company.
What challenge were you trying to address with VR Vision Inc.?
We were trying to eliminate the need to bring our heavy equipment to the tradeshows that we participate in. To accomplish that while still giving our customers real-time experience with the machines, we decided to implement VR.
What was the scope of their involvement?
VR Vision Inc. helped us develop a VR program for internal use. Our salespeople use it when they’re traveling. are traveling. Using goggles and a laptop, they can show customers how our machinery looks and works and how easy it is to operate.
Our equipment is very heavy, large-scale equipment and it’s impossible to have all models in the showroom. Customers get to experience our machinery instead of traveling to our showroom.
We expect that VR is going to help us to boost our sales. In the meantime, we participate in national and local tradeshows by having VR. We expect it’s going to save us significantly on the expenses of bringing machinery to the actual show.
VR Vision Inc. continues to work with us in making improvements and providing maintenance.

They finished everything by September when we had a show, which was really important for us to make. We’re still the only one company of that kind having our own VR. They delivered as promised and even more.
I have high expectations of any supplier we work with. VR Vision Inc. implements everything the way that I want it. I couldn’t be happier with their work.

They’re excellent with project management. We took some examples of their experience and what they use to put in place in our own business.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their personal attention and personal touch are impressive. They keep growing what they’re doing. They have a good customer service approach and did some things outside our initial scope for no extra charge.

The product itself could stand to improve—VR Vision Inc. could show some things in the VR program in a better way. It takes us time to set up the system because we need to create connections between goggles to laptop and laptop to router. There are a couple of bugs that could make our lives easier, but we’re working on that.

I’m the VP of marketing and business development of IEP Technologies. We provide safety systems to industrial processing companies.
What challenge were you trying to address with VR Vision Inc.?
We had a VR tool developed by another partner. When we were looking to update it, the initial builders were only interested in something much more expensive. Their ongoing support was in question, so we turned to alternative partners.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The solution they develop provides an overview of hazards and solutions that our team addresses in a very immersive environment. To get the message across in the same amount of detail, it would’ve taken a 2 or 3-hour presentation. The final experience is a five-minute VR that gets the same message across with much more dynamism.
They used the newest Oculus hardware, which is standalone. Our previous technology was based on an older version of Oculus, which required external laptops and sensors to make everything function properly. The new ones are self-contained and much more cost-effective.
The project is now turning into more of a support effort. Now that we’ve rolled it out, we’ll be working with them on a monthly basis to make sure everything is operating proficiently.

Initially, we were discussing the overall concept with 4–5 people. Once the project started, we were in communication with two project leads. I’m sure there were others working in the background, though.

Their team was very responsive, always on top of regular project updates through web meetings. My team didn’t have to stress about communication because it was so strong on VR Vision’s end. What challenge were you trying to address with VR Vision Inc.?
Our team attends relevant conferences to promote our products around the world. For years, we’ve had a standard booth set-up with giveaways and products to try, and the result has been a relatively low rate of engagement. We wanted to increase visitor engagement in a fun, innovative way. As a result, we engaged VR Vision Inc. to create a VR experience for an upcoming technology conference.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The VR experience takes users to a tropical paradise where they can walk around. The user’s experience is also projected on screens so that people walking by can watch it as well. It also features a spin wheel that allows users to win prizes such as earbuds, tablets, and discounts on our products.
VR Vision Inc. came up with the idea of the tropical island, while we came up with the spin wheel. We gave the team loose requirements and a lot of independence to create the experience. They created an algorithm that guided where the spin wheel would land for users; for example, we asked that only 2% of spins would fall on a tablet. They also snagged us cutting-edge goggles that just started being sold in Canada, which impressed us.

Roni (Co-Founder and CEO, VR Vision Inc.) was our main point of contact. We worked with five people.

VR Vision Inc.’s business development person reached out to us first last year. As the technology conference drew closer, the idea of increasing engagement came up again, and I reached back out to Roni. They came in with an initial pitch and completely sold me. We worked together from April–May 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Out of the 250 conference attendees, about 125 people put on the googles. 90% had never tried a VR experience before, but we saw a 100% satisfaction rate. We’ve never seen such a high level of engagement at any conference we’ve attended. Our sales team is following up on 50 leads who won discounts from the spin wheel. The project was also shared internally as a successful innovation within our rather conservative organization.
We’ve just met with Roni and the team to talk about a future project involving our annual member conference, which attracts 1,500 people every year. We’re thrilled with VR Vision Inc.’s work and would be happy to work with them again.
How did VR Vision Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
VR Vision Inc. managed the project well. I only had to check in on their progress a few times. We put a lot of trust in their expertise in virtual reality, and at the end of the day, VR Vision Inc. delivered. We communicated via email and phone and had weekly update meetings.

I manage the trade show and sponsorship/advertising for the ODA’s Annual Spring Meeting, which is one of the largest dental conferences in North America, attracting 13,000 attendees annually.
What challenge were you trying to address VR Vision Inc.?
We were looking for a feature area to add to the trade show floor for our attendees to have a unique and interactive experience.
What was the scope of their involvement?
VR Vision Inc. came to our office to provide our team with a demo of various equipment and VR experiences that they had available. We were thrilled with the experience and immediately proceeded to sign the contract and provided them with the move-in/move-out information for the event. The experience was available all day during the two-day show and was quite busy. As an added bonus, they also took video footage of the event for our team at no additional cost.

I worked with one main contact, but there were several others I communicated with in regards to financing and other areas. I had a connection for contract and payment, and another point of contact for the actual booth set-up at the convention.

Everything ran perfectly and smoothly from the beginning to the end and the sponsor was very happy We send out a survey to our attendees of the conference, asking them to rate all of the various features. The VR area rated quite well. All the responses were positive, and it was a great success. VR Vision Inc. sent a proof of 3D virtual footage of activities that took place on the trade show floor. Their team did it at their own courtesy, which was awesome. The sponsor would like to repeat this feature area again for next year so we will be proceeding to hire them again.

I’m the technology integration specialist at an independent K-12 school.
What challenge were you trying to address with VR Vision Inc.?
We recently became interested in using VR as a teaching tool. I secured an innovation grant through our principal to explore and acquire equipment that would allow our students to become authors in VR and even contribute to or pioneer the conventions of filming and creating in VR.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The initial consultation with VR Vision Inc. was regarding what type of hardware we should be buying. After the technical consultation, we looked at purchasing equipment and ended up buying an advanced, high-tech camera. VR Vision Inc. took care of the setup, configuration, and customization for the school. They provided training to my colleague and me, showing us how to operate, edit, and create using the equipment.
Their team also gave us information on the creative software that was available for classroom use. Alex (360° Content Director, VR Vision Inc.) delivered hands-on training, giving examples of what other companies are doing with the technology. Many companies are familiar with the equipment but don’t have in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of development.
When talking with Roni and Alex, it was apparent they knew their work well and that they’re leaders in the field. I felt confident in trusting them. They also told us that they’d worked with other schools and were interested in talking. After I received the grant, conversations began.

What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with VR Vision Inc. in September 2018, and are looking at the final phase of engagement.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The final phase is coming in the next few weeks, and it’s a final training session for post-editing. We’ve discussed future engagements in customization and hosting of our material on a custom VR app. If the school decides to go down the VR path, our next step will be looking at how to create a branded app that hosts all the student-created content for the community to interact with and enjoy.
VR Vision Inc.’s value is indispensable. It would’ve taken our team awhile to figure everything out, but they were able to meet the learning curve. The value they’re bringing is integral to the project’s success. Everything is coming together quickly. There were aspects that they weren’t involved in that made it challenging to meet some of our deadlines. Whenever VR Vision Inc. was involved, they resolved the issue. Their team supported ours in achieving goals that might not have happened otherwise.
How did VR Vision Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
Whenever we had a question, concern, or need for them to be in front of us, their team is responsive. They’re on time and professional. We typically communicate through email and phone.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I haven’t had the chance to work with them and their experience on the development side, but have heard it is one of their strengths. I’ve mainly interacted with them on the knowledge and support side. From my perspective, VR Vision’s strengths would be in those areas and communication.
Are there any areas they could improve?
VR Vision Inc. could perform a stronger assessment of training situations, preparing to fit the needs of the client. One of our contacts wasn’t prepared in the technologies we were using during our first training session. It made the session unproductive. Being a PC user, they didn’t know the workflows of a Mac. We gave them feedback, and then they were prepared for the next session.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
In the beginning, clients should get a feel for who they are and what they have to offer. We had some initial conversations, and it was a different experience depending on who we talked to on the phone. VR Vision Inc. shined for us when Roni brought in his equipment and knowledge. Especially in this emerging technology, it’s hard to visualize or imagine the possibilities. We had to see it for ourselves.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of new media at Winged Whale Media, a content agency that specializes in video, photo, and AR/VR.
What challenge were you trying to address with VR Vision Inc.?
We were working on a joint project with a local municipality that was developing a downtown core for their region. It was a spacious region with suburban and commercial developments. The municipality was looking to bring in condos, malls, and office towers. They wanted an architectural visualization that envisioned the downtown area.
What was the scope of their involvement?
VR Vision Inc. wanted to use a 360-degree video with VR as a way to highlight and showcase new businesses, along with bringing public opinion on board. We were tasked with creating a promotional video of the metropolitan center that’s at the heart of the development. Right now, the area only has two office building, so we wanted to show what the region will look like in five years.
We filmed a representative that discussed the future site and plans. The video was created in three separate phases. We shot all the locations, then overlaid two-dimensional renderings of the planned buildings. The second phased involved taping with the mayor and focusing on the messaging. For the third phase, VR Vision Inc. incorporated realistic structures using 3D objects over the two-dimensional drawings and then developing our own models.
What is the team composition?
Roni (CEO, VR Vision Inc.) and Alex (360° Content Director, VR Vision Inc.) were my main points of contact. I think one or two more members of their team were involved as well.
How did you come to work with VR Vision Inc.?
We had worked with VR Vision Inc. previously on a couple projects. One joint project involved a VR simulation for a city using Tilt Brush. The city was going through a redevelopment and wanted to get the sense of what people wanted in a town so they could paint what they wanted to see. They ran six VR stations at a special event day at their city hall, while we ran point with the client. I think we came across them because we needed their expertise and our services began to expand. We’ve pitched a lot of projects together.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with VR Vision Inc. between February–April 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The city launched the video on their YouTube channel recently. The feedback from the client has been spectacular. They loved everything about the process and result. The 3D technology VR Vision Inc. specializes in, as far as I’m aware, is pretty new.
They took the video to a trade show to attract new businesses. Participants came into a lounge and put on VR goggles and headsets. They received a great response from that. We worked as a team to get the product done, and the result was pretty amazing. I want to do more of this work in the future.
How did VR Vision Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
VR Vision Inc. was accessible. Communication was smooth, making it easy to get ahold of Roni or Alex. We used phone, email, or text, depending on what was convenient. Their team was responsive. If they weren’t on at the time, they’d get back to me within an hour. While we had project setup and needed to figure out creative elements, the process was streamlined. Everything was delivered on time and within budget. In the end, VR Vision Inc. knew what to do, providing feedback on what would and wouldn’t work.
What did you find most impressive about them?
VR Vision Inc. exceeded expectations. I appreciated their adaptability and flexibility to the parameters changed throughout the project. They reacted positively to the evolving timelines, fulfilling everything we requested. The video is now a centerpiece of our portfolio. We’ve showcased it to other developers and clients that would be impacted by the use of 3D objects in their VR videos. Working with VR Vision Inc. was excellent.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t believe so. Everything responded the way I wanted it to, so there is no room for improvement. Maybe they can show samples of their work sooner so I can get a better sense of the product before showing it to the client. Overall, I don’t have any real complaints or issues.
