THE HAT Pittsburgh Pirates
After working with the Pittsburgh Pirates for several years, we had the opportunity to conceptualize and produce a broadcast commercial that would resonate with fans across generations. Here at Voyage, we embrace the challenges that come along with creating a cinematic experience. In this video, we utilized thoughtful set design, wardrobe, camera movement, and casting to tell this legacy story.

Fifth Season
Fifth Season is a sustainable, vertical farm that uses game-changing robotics to make eating fresh greens possible all year round. Voyage had the opportunity to collaborate with the Fifth Season team to extend the brands voice and tone. We assisted by conceptualizing and producing the types of videos that would speak to their rapidly growing customer base. We choose to tell a documentary style story that encapsulates their brand, unique vision and outstanding quality greens.

Seegrid
Seegrid designs and manufacturers top of the line autonomous mobile robots for warehouse and other enterprise solutions. We helped them create a video that celebrated 2,000,000 miles of safe use with no injury.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the editorial director of Fifth Season, a vertical farming company and food technology innovator.
What challenge were you trying to address with Voyage Visuals?
We needed someone to produce a consumer-facing video that showcased our brand story.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Voyage Visuals produced a video depicting our company’s story and showcasing our technology and products. They first helped us conceptualize before moving on to the filming process.
The team went to our farm and filmed our technology. Furthermore, they shot various scenarios that show our products being used by a chef and so on.
The Voyage Visuals team then edited the footage into a five-minute video that told our story. We posted it on our social media and used it for our advertising and investor relations efforts.
What is the team composition?
Our main points of contact were Alan (Founder & CEO) and Ben (Creative Director). We also worked with a director of photography and a production assistant.
How did you come to work with Voyage Visuals?
My former manager knew Alan.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about $25,000–$30,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project lasted from November 2020–January 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We received a lot of positive feedback from the general public and our investors. The video was also well-received within the vertical farming industry — it was pretty unique and set us apart from our competitors.
Voyage Visuals was extremely enjoyable to work with. They were a creative team who genuinely wanted to tell our story the way we wanted them to. Furthermore, the team was gracious about edits and feedback. Overall, the experience was above and beyond what we were hoping for.
How did Voyage Visuals perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management was excellent. We did get off schedule a bit, but the team did a fantastic job in terms of budgeting and communicating. We exchanged emails, Slack messages, and texts and had in-person meetings.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Voyage Visuals was very technically advanced, and their audiovisual work was the best in the area. Furthermore, the team’s storytelling skills are phenomenal.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The deadlines could’ve been clearer. At some point, there was some confusion around that, but it was a good experience overall.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be communicative and let the Voyage Visuals team work their magic.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the marketing director for Colussy Chevrolet; we’re an automotive company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Voyage Visuals?
We needed help with video advertising and marketing.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They film our TV commercials and any other video advertising or publicity that we do online. We change our advertising message monthly, so they also do edits every month for TV spots and digital marketing.
What is the team composition?
We regularly work with Alan (CEO), but we’ve also been getting involved with a camera director, an audio engineer, and other people from their staff.
How did you come to work with Voyage Visuals?
They were referred by a colleague that used to do video marketing for us. They retired and recommended Voyage Visuals to us.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $15,000 with them so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in November 2017, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We use Google Analytics to measure the success of the online videos that we do, and we also have Effective as our online and cable subscribers; they both have a backend tool that measures clicks and. There’s also Facebook, who provide their own metrics in terms of views, likes, and comments. With that being said, we’ve been noticing incremental improvements in those metrics.
How did Voyage Visuals perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re great at meeting deadlines. They show up on time, and when I need an edit done for one of our spots, they usually deliver it to me a day before the date we established.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’re happy with everything they do.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.
Any advice for potential customers?
Have meetings ahead of time if you’re planning on filming or developing a digital strategy with them. Layout a written plan, and stick to it.

Promotional Video for Technology Company
"We had a very complex product, yet they were able to understand and execute our vision perfectly."

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the Marketing Manager for a technology company. We research and develop solutions for health and safety challenges utilizing molecular chemical imaging.
For what projects/services did your company hire Voyage Visuals, and what were your goals?
Our safety line of business was creating a new service utilizing one of our existing products, but the existing video for the product was dated and didn't reflect what the new service would offer.
We needed to create a new video from scratch in order to properly convey what the service was and its benefits to our prospective customers. We needed a piece that could be used on our website, for promotional purposes, and as an informational introduction to prospective clients.
How did you select Voyage Visuals and what were the deciding factors?
I had worked with multiple video production vendors in the past and I was looking for a new direction, I didn't feel like those vendors would fit the bill for this project. I was referred to Voyage Visuals by a friend and colleague. After looking at some examples of their past work and having a introduction, I felt confident that they were the right choice for this project.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.
We started with a discovery meeting where I explained our product, the technology behind it, and what we were trying to convey with the video. My internal team developed the script due to specific and highly technical content, but we then worked together with Voyage Visuals to sketch out the scenes.
We filmed on site where the team came for a full day shoot and recording of voiceover. Post production and two rounds of minor revisions took only a few weeks and the resulting product was an amazing 2:00 video.
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
We worked with the Director/Producer directly. We were provided a link to the first cut and were able to make comments directly in Frame.io. This was a quick and seamless way to provide edits at precise timestamps in the video. The edits would then get made and a new link to review would be issued.
He provided expert opinions during the process when needed and implemented changes that made the video even better.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We placed the new video on our website and promoted it on social media. The video has been viewed 191 times and we have had 34 inquiries from potential clients.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The director/producer and his entire team was great to work with. All parts of the shoot were planned out in detail so that we had the most efficient day. The review process was also seamless with the use of Frame.io. That allowed the project to be turned around quickly with the highest quality.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We had a very complex product, yet they were able to understand and execute our vision perfectly. And while it was a collaborative effort, I could count on them to run with it. They were really able to bring the script to life.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Honestly, they went above and beyond, especially making this project happen during the pandemic. I had an exceptional experience.

Photo & Video Production for Dental Company
“Voyage Visuals’ creative insights were impressive.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CMO of Movemints LLC. We sell a product through e-commerce for people in the dental alignment industry.
What challenge were you trying to address with Voyage Visuals?
We needed to display our brand to the market through creative assets like videos and photographs.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Voyage Visuals helped us with an entire photo and video shoot. First, they learned about what we wanted and our product. Their team did a lot of research about our business, so I didn’t have to provide them with a lot of resources. They treated me as the creative director on my team and walked me through everything they needed from me to make a successful shot. Then, they helped us with the process of recruiting models and arranging talent.
We worked with their photographers and videographers. Voyage Visuals arranged an off-location photo and video shoot in a dental office, which they storyboarded. We only had one shot at it, so we needed to make it right the first time. After they got all the raw footage, they helped us with editing, audio mixing, and general post-production.
What is the team composition?
We had two main people working for us on this project: Alan (Founder) and a colleague of his. They were in charge of creative direction, talent management, and post-production.
How did you come to work with Voyage Visuals?
Voyage Visuals was recommended to us by another firm that we were working with. We also put an RFP out and got responses from 2–3 companies. Voyage Visuals was one of them, and we really liked their proposal.
How much have you invested with them?
The total cost was around $20,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from March–April 2020. We started the engagement in March, and the whole project took four weeks to be completed. They turned in the final assets in April.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve seen an increase in our site’s traffic and an improvement in our ads thanks to the creative assets provided by Voyage Visuals.
Alan and his team were invaluable for me in the entire process because we were spending a significant amount of money on this, and it was something I’d never done before — I was grateful to have their expertise.
How did Voyage Visuals perform from a project management standpoint?
Voyage Visuals was great at project management, and we had a lot of communication. Alan was very clear with everything I needed to do to make the project successful — he was a great asset for us.
Part of the reason as to why we hired them was because I didn’t have a lot of experience on this type of project, and Alan made it easy for us. We communicated via email and phone. He made a project checklist and always let us know what was the next step — it was really easy to work with them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Voyage Visuals’ creative insights were impressive. They had the ability to understand what we needed without me having to be completely explicit. I had ideas of what I wanted, and they helped me take an idea and turn it into reality.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There weren't a lot of areas that needed to be improved. Overall, the project was seamless. In the beginning, the scoping of the project needed some clarification in terms of who was paying for the talents — we were a little unclear on our side. However, we got through it.
Any advice for potential customers?
Have a very clear idea of how you want to use the assets you need because there are a lot of different ways you can develop visual media. Voyage Visuals can get you what you ask for, but they can’t predict what you need — they have to know what you want.

Video Production for Agriculture Technology Company

Please describe your company and your position there.
Our company grows fresh fruits and vegetables with the latest plant science and robotics AI technology. I am the founder CEO of the company.
For what projects/services did your company hire Voyage Visuals, and what were your goals?
We wanted to create a 1 min clip to highlight our technology and mission. Voyage led the production.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We looked for a video production company that has worked with startups in food and ag-tech.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.
The video is a 1-min clip highlighting our core technology and our mission. We started by working on the narration and storyboard. The process was very iterative, and we knew exactly the sequence of the shots by the time the filming was happening.
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
We worked directly with Alan. He was always very responsive and understanding of our needs.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We were able to get lots of investor attentions. They always thought that we have achieved a lot in a short period of time, thanks to the video. We got to close the next round of funding with this video.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The communication was mostly via Zoom and Google docs & slides for pre-production. After production, Alan sent the video edits with an online video-showing service with which we could review and leave comments. It was very timely. We were on a very tight schedule and Alan's team was able to accommodate that.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We find the iterative process highly valuable and unique. Bigger companies or less agile ones wouldn't have been able to do so. It's not like we had previous production experience before, so the iterative process helped us clarify what we had in mind.
Alan was also very quick to grasp the core technology and what we wanted to visualize.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Sr. Director of Innovation for InFaith. The oldest continuous mission org in the United States (over 200 years!). We're in 34 states and work nationally to bring the love and message of Jesus to different local contexts all over our country in unique and diverse ways.
For what projects/services did your company hire Voyage Visuals?
We've had a long-term partnership with Voyage.
This recent project was somewhere around our 12th video project together and from the very start, their principal, Alan, came to the table with ideas and a listening ear to help us tackle everything from 30-second trailers to this latest venture a 90-minute event that incorporated both pre-recorded pieces and pieces that we shot just for the Laugh & Help video itself.
Alan's team brings expertise we don't have in-house and they do this with heart and professionalism. Not to mention some great creative!
What were your goals for this project?
We hoped to increase awareness and also help our current audiences get excited about ministry happening in contexts they were unaware of.
How did you select Voyage Visuals?
We were referred to them by a mutual colleague. And the meetings were just very synergistic between our staffs.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.
Each project has unique needs, challenges, production values, and creative ideas that are part of the mix. Voyage walks through from start to finish to make sure that at each step of the way we are supported and listened to. No question or meeting is too much or too little with these guys!
What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?
Feedback was more casual in style. Calls and emails took place after filming to be sure that the post-production was handled with care and that we hit the marks of our goals.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We had an increase of site traffic due to the event that was over 10,000 more visitors to our website than any other month in our online history and as a direct result of the trailer Voyage produced we had over 40,000 people get InFaith's name in front of them.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Voyage uses Frame.io and that software allows timely edits and easy communication. This is a great process!
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their attention to our needs and desire to make sure we have a great outcome to the project were impressive.
Are there any areas for improvement?
We have such a solid working relationship. The longer you work with anyone the more they become like our own people. We think of their team as part of us. It's more than a working relationship for us after all of these years!
Equipped with profound creativity and unparalleled audiovisual expertise, Voyage Visuals delivered a unique video that received highly positive feedback from the client's audience and investors. The reliable team over-delivered and provided phenomenal work that set the company apart from its peers.
