Google Ads & Facebook Marketing for Funeral Home
"The fact that we’re still working together after more than two years speaks to Vine Street's good work."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of a funeral home.
What challenge were you trying to address with Vine Street Digital?
We were looking for someone to manage our PPC campaigns.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Vine Street is managing our digital marketing and PPC campaigns. They’re maintaining our number one and first-page ranking on Google.
First, Vine Street studied our company, and they asked questions about our offerings and points of difference. They then created and implemented ad campaigns on Google.
Every month, Vine Street is researching different opportunities, and they’re looking for areas where we might be wasting money. They’re always trying to improve our campaigns to get the best for our business.
In addition, Vine Street is doing social media marketing for us, and they’ve set up different advertisements on Facebook. They’ve created templates and ad posts using the pictures they requested from us.
What is the team composition?
I work primarily with Courtney (Team Manager & Lead PPC Specialist).
How did you come to work with Vine Street Digital?
I Googled for advertising companies, and Vine Street showed up. I like the reviews I read about their company, so I contacted them. They put together and presented a brief, and I agreed to sign a contract with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’re paying $8,000–$9,000 AUD (approximately $6,000–$7,000 USD) monthly.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2019, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The fact that we’re still working together after more than two years speaks to Vine Street's good work. We’re receiving quality leads from our ad campaigns, which help us grow our business.
How did Vine Street Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
If I have a question or concern, Vine Street is speedy and responsive. They’re also fast in delivering — if I want to change something in our ad campaigns, they immediately implement. We communicate primarily through email and sometimes through phone calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Vine Street’s attention to detail and responsiveness is impressive — they excel in those aspects all the time.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They can improve their communications whenever we go over budget.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I’ve referred two other companies to Vine Street as I want those companies to grow — that speaks for itself.

PPC Campaigns for Clothing & Accessories Retailer
"Vine Street Digital has adopted a business model and philosophy that works."
the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the co-owner/director of a clothing and accessories retailer trading both online and through a brick-and-mortar store
For what projects/services did your company hire Vine Street Digital, and what were your goals?
We put Vine Street Digital in charge of all of our PPC needs on both Google and Bing as this was an area we were struggling with and hadn't been successful with previously. We needed someone to explain it to us and help us understand the processes involved and manage all campaigns on our behalf.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We did our research on the background of the company via various reviews from around the net as well as read media stories about their approach to PPC and business operations. Their ethics around how they treat their clients and their staff was a major part in our decision-making process on top of the fact that they are an Australian-based company that employee Australian-based team members.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.
We had lots of meetings with them and they spent a while asking us questions about our industry, products we sell, margins, and targets. They let us know about we could expect during the process, how it all works and then went about setting up our campaigns on various platforms
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
During the initial phase of Vine Street Digital getting to know us as a client, we were in discussions with multiple people. Once they understood our needs as a client, they then set us up with our account manager Gabi who took over from there to set up our campaigns.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
I would say that right from the start the campaigns were successful which I wasn't expecting as I thought it would take a lot of time for Vine Street to understand the nature of our business and the complexities involved. This wasn't the experience we had received prior to engaging Vine Street Digital so we were very impressed.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Every week Vine Street Digital call us and update us on our campaigns. Our campaign manager shares our wins and challenges and asks us questions relating to the products we are targeting and interesting items that may be standing out on our campaign reports. Our campaign manager would then adjust our campaigns based on the outcomes of these meetings and we would see continued success and major improvements.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Vine Street Digital is known for providing great working conditions for their staff and ensures that each employee of their company isn't overloaded with clients. This results in the client feeling that they have a teammate rather than just being another customer.
Our campaign manager Gabi really cares about our business and is genuinely excited when we have major wins. Gabi never drops the ball and is always on time for meetings and is truly dedicated to our success.
Vine Street Digital has adopted a business model and philosophy that works. The combination of staff happiness and well-being with well-structured systems and client protocols is a major success for everyone involved.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Honestly, I believe in constructive criticism to benefit businesses but I cannot think of anything.

Digital Advertising for Telecommunications Brand
"The workflow between us and Vine St Digital is extremely efficient."
the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the Digital Media Manager of Moose Mobile, a telecommunications provider based in Brisbane. Moose Mobile provides mobile phone SIMs and other products such as Home Broadband on the Optus network, but at a competitive price. We are the highest rated telco in the three top review spaces on the Australian web, Product Review, Facebook, and Google.
For what projects/services did your company hire Vine Street Digital?
Vine Street Digital was brought in to manage and grow our online marketing presence. Our goals were to increase conversions online and to build brand awareness through advertising in various online spaces.
How did you select this vendor?
We searched for local digital marketing agencies and shortlisted 3 which really stood out to us. After a couple of meetings we decided Vine Street Digital was the best fit for us based on cost, skill, and past performance.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
Our digital strategy is primarily to show advertising to previous website visitors in the form of remarketing campaigns online, and other campaigns are conducted based on key search terms and popular industry terms. We use Facebook advertising, Google advertising, and Bing advertising to achieve this. This project has been a success, with a decent CPA across all platforms helping drive growth in the business and establish an online presence and reputation.
What was the team composition?
We work with an account manager who manages our various advertising accounts online.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our social and search advertising campaigns are a great success, with an average CPA around our target, with some campaigns being especially profitable with a CPA much lower than our target. Since we've started our campaigns with Vine St Digital we've seen a steady flow of customers from the platforms we advertise on and these campaigns have become an integral part of our business.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow between us and Vine St Digital is extremely efficient. They set meeting times and personal face-to-face meetings allowing for ease of questions and responsiveness from our account manager.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Courtney and Vine St Digital are very clued up on the online advertising industry and they've been a huge boon to our business. We're seeing a very respectable ROI with efficient and effective campaigns constructed to suit our needs. Courtney is always making great suggestions on how to improve our advertising campaigns and is alwasy interested in the getting the most of our situation when the opportunity arises.
Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?
We're completely satisfied with the work Courtney and Vine St Digital are putting out for our business. If anything, the thing holding back further growth is the lack of time and attention we ourselves can put into assisting Vine St do their job as some of the advertising material needs to be provided by us. Courtney and Vine St Digital have gone above and beyond for us and the results show that.

PPC Management for Specialized Party Shop
“They’re pretty good at what they do.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of Unique Party Shop, a specialized retail party shop. We’re an online retailer as well.
What challenge were you trying to address with Vine Street Digital?
Vine Street Digital manages my Google PPC campaigns.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Vine Street Digital is a specialized PPC and social media company, so I hired them to manage my whole Google Ads account. Every month, they give me a report on how my account is performing, and we tweak the campaigns based on the season that we’re going through and the conversion rate we're getting.
I can contact them whenever I feel to make any changes to the campaigns, and if there is any news, I let them know.
What is the team composition?
I work with only one person from Vine Street Digital, who is a PPC marketing specialist. I’ve worked with two different people because the person that was managing my account moved away and was replaced by our current contact.
How did you come to work with Vine Street Digital?
I found Vine Street Digital searching on Google. I chose them because they’re based in Brisbane, and they’re a small boutique firm. Bigger firms tend to manage many accounts, whereas smaller ones offer a much more personalized service.
How much have you invested with them?
Vine Street Digital charges me $650 AUD (approximately $490 USD) per month for their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working around June 2018, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We look at Google Analytics to see our ROI. We’re on a monthly contract based on performance, and they’ve been doing well so far.
How did Vine Street Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
We have monthly reports, and I can call them whenever I want, which is great.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Vine Street Digital is more approachable than other companies, and their service is very personalized.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think so — they’re pretty good at what they do.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Keep the channels of communication open, keep calling them, and discuss with them what you need and expect from them.

Search Engine Marketing for Consumer Goods Company
"I was impressed with their willingness to be transparent."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I work at Fun and Function. We design and build toys and therapy tools for children and adults with special needs that are sold online. I’m the head of all digital efforts here.
What challenge were you trying to address with Vine Street Digital?
We’ve worked with a few partners in the past who managed our PPC advertising on search engines and Google Shopping. We started exploring other options, so we hired Vine Street Digital to increase our yearly revenue while maintaining ROAS (return on ad spend).
What was the scope of their involvement?
The team at Vine Street Digital worked on our Google Shopping & search advertising as well as our Bing Shopping & search advertising. They created a creative copy and management strategy for all of those accounts. After that, we expanded their role to do something similar with our Amazon PPC. We gave them a few resources in the beginning, but their team tackled these tasks with little involvement from us.
What is the team composition?
I worked closely with Gemma (Owner, Vine Street Digital). When she wasn’t available, I worked with two or three others.
How did you come to work with Vine Street Digital?
I heard about them while exploring different options on various industry forums. I asked people for their recommendations. We had explored five or six other companies at the time but ended up choosing Vine Street Digital primarily based on the first few interactions I had with Gemma.
During those conversations, she proved her knowledge and willingness to be transparent. In the beginning, Gemma gave an ad audit to show her skills. The recommendations about her were also positive.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent close to $50,000. They also manage a budget for the ad spend.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Vine Street Digital in June 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
There was a 20% revenue growth across all of the accounts. Some of them had upwards of 40%. Considering the stage our company is at, it’s been an excellent sign of year after year growth.
How did Vine Street Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re great project managers, remaining on top of everything. Even when they’re receiving ad copy and coding changes from our internal teams, they’re on top of it. There’s a significant time difference, but despite that, they’re always on top of the work.
Each month, their team provides a monthly analytics report that’s useful and caters to us. We use email and Skype for communication. Basecamp is another tool we use.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was impressed with their willingness to be transparent. Their team is also results-oriented. Their model works well for us. Vine Street Digital is honest with our team when things aren’t working. Their team is open to fixing issues and trying new things. When areas are working, they make sure to highlight and review why they’re working with our team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think so. We’ve had a great experience, and everything has gone well.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Vine Street Digital is an excellent partner to trust. If you want a partner that can take the wheel and not have a lot of hands-on interaction with, they work well with that. We’ve gone through both phases. Initially, I didn’t have a lot of time for hands-on interaction, but now I do. They’re a great resource for both of those relationships.

Social Media Marketing for Paintball Company
“They’ve done a fantastic job asking us questions and following up on small details to get it right.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I own and operate Ultimate Paintball, Sydney’s largest paintball park, and The Paintball Factory, an online paintball shop.
What challenge were you trying to address with Vine Street Digital?
We were looking for higher quality leads and hoping to convert more of those leads.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They handled our Facebook and Instagram ads. I provided some written content, but they designed everything and would produce original visual content for the ads. They worked rather autonomously and were constantly changing different aspects to deliver the best results. When people call in because of the ads, they become hot leads and we take it from there.
What is the team composition?
I worked with Courtney (PPC Specialist, Vine Street Digital) and Gemma (Owner & PPC Specialist, Vine Street Digital).
How did you come to work with Vine Street Digital?
One of my friends worked with them and was very impressed with their work.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $100,000–$200,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started in June 2018 and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve definitely seen an increase in incoming calls and a lot of engagement on our social media accounts. We’ve gotten more from working with Vine Street Digital than other agencies that have charged more premiere prices. They’ve done a fantastic job asking us questions and following up on small details to get it right. I’m very impressed by them.
How did Vine Street Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve been brilliant. I have absolutely no complaints when it comes to project management.
What did you find most impressive about them?
For a small business like us, it’s a big leap of faith to invest in an agency, but Vine Street Digital made us feel safe. That trust is an important part of our relationship. Other vendors we’ve worked with have just left our account alone and we didn’t get enough value out of our partnership. On the other hand, Vine Street Digital ensures that we get the most out of our budget.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be very clear on what you want to get out of your partnership—they’re there to help you, you just need to give them the information that they need. They’ll ask you questions and get all the details, but you need to tell them what you want first.
You also need to give them at least three months for them to find their feet and test a few different things. When I was new to the process, I didn’t realize that that it took time, so that’s really important.

PPC for a Hypnosis Institute
"Their flexibility allows them to stay current."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the president of Northwest Hypnosis Institute, a corporation that trains hypnotists, consulting hypnotists, and hypnotherapists. I use a variety of programs, including the National Guild of Hypnosis Training & Certification. I also have a private practice where I work with clients five days a week on a variety of stressors. I assist clients with everything from phobias, smoking cessation, weight loss, and fears.
What challenge were you trying to address with Vine Street Digital?
I was using different companies for SEO, web development, and PPC. The PPC work the local company was doing wasn’t working at all. When that happened, my business started taking a downturn.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I gave their team an outline of what we were doing before. They came up with their own approach, working on PPC ads for Facebook and Google. Their team would modify their strategies frequently.
What is the team composition?
Gemma (Owner, Vine Street Digital) is my primary contact.
How did you come to work with Vine Street Digital?
Another company I worked with recommended Vine Street Digital. I got in touch with them and started talking to Gemma. Soon after, she began working on my PPC campaigns.
How much have you invested with them?
I spend $300 a month.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement with Vine Street Digital started in June 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re getting new contacts and responses. I didn’t grow up with computers, so I’m mainly paying attention to the number of calls, email contacts, and texts were getting. Their flexibility allows them to stay current. That’s made a huge difference in our conversion rate.
With the last company I was working with, I spent $1,000 a month, and they weren’t producing. I’m getting all kinds of business now while spending less. That makes me happy.
How did Vine Street Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
Gemma was reliable and responsive. If I send her something, she responds right away.
What did you find most impressive about them?
If Gemma says she’s going to do something, she does it in a timely way. In my previous engagement, there were frequent lags in the process and a lot of repetition. I’ve also worked with several other companies that said they would do something but ended up not. Gemma is the opposite. She has a magical approach to creating ads, which has led to a better conversion rate.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Not that I can think of. I don’t see how Gemma could get better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you’re looking for somebody with reliable, effective work and with a responsive approach, Vine Street Digital is the company to go with. I’ve referred them to several people, and they’re all happy.

PPC for a Travel Company
“…they’re always willing to read up on what we need and ask relevant questions.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We’re an online travel company that operates an activities and tours platform. As the marketing manager, I oversee our Australian and New Zealand marketing efforts.
What challenge were you trying to address with Vine Street Digital?
When I first engaged Vine Street Digital, we were starting to localize our PPC/SEO efforts and expand into Australian and New Zealand markets. We tasked them with helping us boost our brand through search and PPC activities, clean up our existing Google Ads account, and ultimately improve our conversion rate.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I initially inherited our Google Ads account from our global team who was previously handling all of our PPC/SEO efforts. The account was quite messy, and we needed to get it in good order before we could proceed. I worked with Vine Street Digital to sort out the account, and, since then, they’ve continued to support us by managing our PPC bidding.
What is the team composition?
My two main points of contact are Gemma (Owner & PPC Specialist, Vine Street Digital) and Lachlan (PPC Strategist, Vine Street Digital).
How did you come to work with Vine Street Digital?
I was looking for a local agency to purely manage our Google Ads account and bidding as opposed to providing any creative solutions. After searching on Google for Australian-based PPC agencies, I found them on Clutch. They had good reviews describing them as a no-frills solution, so I called them, spoke with Gemma, and selected their team.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve worked with them since November 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
So far, we’ve seen an increase in click volume, conversion rate, and conversion value. There was also a decrease in the cost per click (CPC).
How did Vine Street Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
We typically handle a lot of the strategy and account set up while Vine Street Digital does the execution. For each project, I give them the instructions, and we work together to define the priorities. So far, they’ve met most of their deadlines.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Operationally, they’re really good. If a client has an unstructured account that needs to get up to speed quickly, Vine Street Digital can be very helpful.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There can be a bit of a knowledge gap when it comes to some of the more complex PPC functions. But, to be fair, our account is one of the bigger ones they’re dealing with, and we have some automated processes that they haven’t had to use with other smaller accounts. Regardless, they’re always willing to read up on what we need and ask relevant questions.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
It was helpful for me to meet the team in person for a whole-day workshop. This gave me the opportunity to show them our product, explain how it works, and go through our process. Since then, we’ve worked a lot more closely together. They have a stronger understanding of my needs, and I have a better idea of how they work so that we can move as a team.

Adwords and PPC for an Immigration Company
“They're extremely reliable and always give us a great ROI.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
Our migration agency helps people who want to migrate to Australia. I am the business marketing manager.
What challenge were you trying to address with Vine Street Digital?
We reached out to Vine Street Digital for help with Google AdWords. We had been through numerous suppliers previously who had tried to help us. Most of them didn't know what they were talking about or provided a very poor service. We finally found Vine Street Digital, and they've been amazing for us for the last two years.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Vine Street Digital came on board and took control of literally everything. They build landing pages, write copy, and run all the campaigns. They also give us good suggestions for new campaigns we should run. Their complete Google AdWords management includes all these services in one.
We had been running AdWords campaigns for a couple of years beforehand with other companies. Vine Street Digital assessed our account and gave us an audit that showed what had happened in the past. They pointed out all the areas where things had gone wrong, which was very useful. Everything they told us made complete sense right away. We had a generative discussion about what we wanted to target and what we hoped to achieve. From there, they advised us on how to move forward.
What is the team composition?
Our main point of contact is Gemma (Owner, Vine Street Digital).
How did you come to work with Vine Street Digital?
I found them through a referral. The vendor who was managing our Facebook advertising recommended Vine Street Digital.
How much have you invested with them?
We've invested over $100,000, or maybe a bit more. Each month, we spend $5,000–$6,000. We spend more money on Vine Street Digital every year. They're incredibly reliable and always give us a high ROI. It's been a no-brainer to continue working with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together over two years ago. The work is still ongoing, and our engagement is growing every year.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our previous Google AdWords team was only getting us between 12 and 15 leads a month. Since Vine Street Digital began working with us, we've been reliably receiving over 200 leads per month. We've increased our ad spend since they started. There’s been an impressive magnitude of difference in our lead generation.
How did Vine Street Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
One of the best things about Vine Street Digital is their reporting. Rather than automated reports generated by SEMrush, they compile and send us a detailed one each month with real insight into what's going well and what isn’t working. They update our target for the next month for continual progress. The team writes these reports in simple language that's easy to read and understand. I read them religiously because they're always informative.
I talk to the owner on Skype and also send her e-mails now and then. We have an open line of communication. They're easy to reach. When I was in Australia, we talked more on the phone. Now that I'm living overseas, we mostly use digital channels.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Vine Street Digital's level of customer service is really impressive. They made an effort to truly understand our business. Every other AdWords agency we've met has told us to spend more money without any explanation as to why we should.
Vine Street Digital put in the work upfront to achieve results and prove to us their services are a worthwhile investment. After that, it was an easy decision to continue our partnership. I recommend them to everyone I meet who is doing AdWords.
Are there any areas they could improve?
For our business, not really. We burned through so many different contractors, and they're the only one that's performed consistently for two years. I don't predict anything changing in the future; I only see them getting better. They’re always available, and we never have any issues.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I encourage potential clients to go for it. Google AdWords isn't for everyone. I've recommended the team to other people who AdWords didn't work for as a strategy, but if it's something you want to try, you should absolutely use Vine Street Digital. They will definitely work hard to understand your business before they recommend increasing your budget.

Words cannot express how thrilled we are to be working with the Vine Street Digital team. We’ve learned so much about our business from their professional, practical and always enlightening insight. They’ve helped us optimize our marketing strategy on Google and Bing and to improve our website.
Vine Street Digital actively manages our campaign based on the data they collect. Their detailed monthly reports are clear, concise, highly informative, and motivating. We’re especially impressed with how cautiously they monitor our daily ad spend.
