We are a nonprofit humanitarian organization. I am the Head of Human resources.
For what projects/services did your company hire VERUS CONSULTING?
We needed help in recruiting some top managerial positions and middle management positions.
What were your goals for this engagement?
We needed candidates selected by a professional consultancy firm and who had the capacity to also give the technical tests to the candidates and present us with the best.
How did you select VERUS CONSULTING?
We did a selection table and Verus Consulting fitted what we were looking for because they have experience in recruiting for NGOs and also private companies which we saw and they would know the caliber of candidates we were searching for.
Describe the engagement in detail.
They draft the advertisements using the job descriptions given for the particular positions. They screen the candidates and set a technical test and a presentation which they record and present to us.
They then do the final shortlist and present to us the best five candidates and we finally schedule an interview with and select the best from that. This is usually good because all the five candidates referred to us are usually the best.
What was the team composition?
They had a specialized recruiter who was liaising directly with our HR department and the person in charge of recruitment from our organization.
Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?
Out of the four positions that Verus Consultancy recruited on our behalf we selected three candidates of their choice.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow was very smooth and their communication was clear and they ensured before moving forward they were on the same page updating our contact person on every step they were at and giving updates on what they were planning to do.
What did you find most impressive about this vendor?
The quality of candidates that they shortlisted was of a high caliber. They would also give a list of 18 good candidates and gave their client a choice of picking the best that they would like to move to the next stage of the recruitment. They also were able to balance the gender and ethnic group well.
Are there any areas for improvement?
For now, their work is very good and we have not seen any grey areas yet.
The quality of candidates that Verus Consulting shortlisted was of high caliber exceeding the client's requirements. The team establishes clear communication which leads to a seamless workflow. They provide regular updates on what they are planning to do.
