UI and UX redesign for voice and video calls on Telegram for Android, including private calls and group calls in Voice Chats. The task was:
- develop a comprehensive concept of voice and video calls that includes one-on-one calls, as well as group calls in voice chats;
- unify common components and interface logic;
- create simple and accessible interfaces.
We decided to take contribution in this UX / UI contest from Telegram. We started from the scratch, trying to understand the current issues in the bare structure. How can we improve the interface? How might we cover the main painpoints? What āflavorā should we add in new solutions? We tried to add a soul in a new design by mixing modern white style, intuitive usability and user friendly micro-interactions.
As a result, we was chosen between the winners and take the 2nd place in this great competition. We hope our design ideas will be useful for future implementation and improvements of Telegram X for Android.

UI/UX for Home Selling Service
"UXIS makes sure that every design element simply does its job."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
Iām the co-founder of a company called Housecure, and Iām the lead product developer there. Weāre mainly focused on the real estate agent market, and our goal is to improve the efficiency of house buying and selling, because, at the moment, one-quarter of all the offers that are accepted in the UK end up falling through. We wanted to reduce that number.
What challenge were you trying to address with UXIS.company?
Weāre a startup and needed to bootstrap our brand, which required us to develop a marketing site and design an MVP. Our goal was to make a flexible brand. We needed to make sure that the designs were professional and didnāt require too many complex elements, as we wanted to launch the website quickly.
In terms of our brand, weāre a platform-as-a-service that allows buyers and sellers to create profiles for themselves. The brand had to be strong enough to produce a whole platform and yet still have an easy-to-use interface catered to our audience.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The relationship has been on and off again as our brand has expanded, allowing us to iterate at different times. After developing the marketing site and organizing our branding, UXIS.company started on the platform wireframes and then the full MVP design. Iām the development team for the company, so I implement the designs as UXIS creates them.
We recently re-engaged them with another project to build up our blogging resources as the MVP has been very thoroughly done. They made it by layering a large number of components, so if we need to adjust something, we just have to make a change to one of those templates.
What is the team composition?
I mainly work with Alexander (Founder). Iām not sure how much he delegates to his team, but he was my main point of contact.
How did you come to work with UXIS.company?
I worked with people whoād used them, so I saw a lot of their work and knew it to be exceptionally comprehensive. A lot of the other design vendors arenāt focused on how designs translate for the users or developers, but UXIS makes sure that every design element simply does its job. Ā
How much have you invested with them?
The total to date is around $15,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Weāve been working together since November 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?Ā
The first stage was focused on launching a marketing site, but weāre not pushing people to it yet. It is showing credibility, however, as weāre displaying it to other businesses and using it to build partnerships. We donāt need a lot of partnerships at this moment, which is good, as weād prefer to have an MVP to show them so as to truly demonstrate our product.
People have actually reached out to us and wanted to partner with us as well. Statistical metrics will come out as we finish and launch our MVP.
How did UXIS.company perform from a project management standpoint?
The project hasnāt been overly structured and complex. At the end of the day, we use Figma, which allows us to collaborate and see clearly what theyāre doing, as well as provide comments. Instead of providing loads of different places to host updates, they give us everything in Figma. The quote, branding, website wireframes, and more are in Figma. We only have to check one place to find our answers.
In terms of direct communication, weāve linked our Slack environments, but we also have Zoom calls when needed, like for small questions or demos. There can be a language barrier working with designers outside the UK due to interpretation differences. These video calls have allowed us to get around certain issues and understand each other more.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I started off as a developer before moving into product development, so I know that most designers donāt understand what goes into development and how UX systems are actually created. UXIS has a solid understanding of both development and design, however, which allows them to create designs that are easy to produce, as well as reuse and adjust. This allows the entire project to advance at a faster speed, and it gives us peace of mind that our product will be viable over a longer period of time. This is particularly helpful for startups that move through constantly changing product landscapes.
UXIS is good at bringing in the fundamentals of UX, as well as making pushing back to ensure the vision remains realistic when it needs to. Iām pragmatic, but there are times when Iām not as understanding of users as is needed because I work with technology every day. Our audience members donāt, so the product had to be accessible to them.
UXIS excels at holding me back on some of my more out-of-the-box ideas without stopping them completely. They make sure that my creativity is realized in a usable way for my audience.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I donāt think thereās anything they need to work on.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Often, delays are caused by vendors not having enough resources on their end. I donāt find this to be the case at all with UXIS. They donāt overburden themselves with too many projects. They just want to get the right outcome.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Found of software start up
For what projects/services did your company hire UXIS.company?
We used UXIS to provided UX and UI updates for our MVP
What were your goals for this project?
Our goals for the project were to improve the user flow, aesthetics and add some features to an MVP.
How did you select UXIS.company?
We reviewed over 20 different agencies on Clutch as well as a large number of freelancers. I set out criteria such as experience, credentials, language barrier, knowledge of UX/UI and cost.
I interviewed a large number of these 20 over video chat to see if they would be a good fit based on the criteria set out above. UXIS kept making it through the list until there were only 2 agencies left.
We decided to go with UXIS due to the fact their credentials looked really strong and the CEO really pushes UX and research to understand the user before getting in to design work. This was really important to us.
Describe the project in detail.
We have an existing MVP that we've built. The user flow works quite well, and we have had comments that people like its simplicity. We know the user interface needed updating though.
We demoed this to UXIS and asked them how they would go about doing the work. The broke down the work in to Research phase, Structuring phase, Prototyping phase and then finally Design phase.
- During Research: UXIS went through our user research in detail extracting salient points and performing competitor research.
- In Structuring: UXIS, took this data and interviews with me to distil information in to a concept map, create strong user personas, build a full and very detailed customer journey map and create user cases and flows.
- In prototyping: UXIS built very impressive wireframes/prototypes
- In the design phase: UXIS detailed out these designs with UI design, a very comprehensive design kit and guidelines for our developers.
What was the team composition?
I worked exclusively with Oleksandr the CEO of UXIS, but I believe he had another team member he worked with to iterate and detail the designs.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
No outcomes yet as UXIS has just finished the work and we've just started building these.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Workflow was very good. UXIS uses Figma and everything was broken down on here, including what we'd agreed in terms of timeline, including hours they would work on each section. All the outputs lived in Figma in individual sections.
I was given a link and was able to jump in at any point to see what was going on live and who was working in the file. So I was always able to go back to a bit of research, or point to a persona or a section on a journey map.
It was also really helpful for me to comment on designs or for UXIS to ask questions. I'd receive an email and could respond directly. It worked very well and was very productive for us.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I have six years of experience working in software teams as a product manager and Oleksandr (CEO of UXIS) is one of the most impressive UX designers I've worked with.
His knowledge of UX principles, research methods, branding, marketing and attention to detail and work ethic is seriously impressive. What we received surpassed my expectations and I am really very glad we went with UXIS.
Are there any areas for improvement?
There was a bit of a language barrier but as most communication was handled over Figma, emails etc it wasn't a problem If UXIS is in your shortlist and the language barrier scares you, don't let it. The quality of work will speak for itself.

UI/UX Design for Private Communication Platform
"We were impressed with UXIS.Companyās organization skills ā how they set their timelines and made estimates."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
Iām the founder of a startup organization. Our company is making a privacy-centered chat application.
What challenge were you trying to address with UXIS.Company?
Weāre looking to outsource a team that could handle our UI/UX design and development. Our company is redesigning our platform based on the feedback of our users, adding new functionalities to make it more user-friendly. The previous agency that we worked with only handled the design so, this time, we wanted to work with a full UI/UX design team.
What was the scope of their involvement?
UXIS.Company was tasked to take our existing app and analyze the issues regarding its UI/UX design and user flows. The team identified any functionalities that didnāt quite fit with our platformās design. They used Stigma for the graphical aspect of the project.
What is the team composition?
We worked with two people from UXIS.Company.
How did you come to work with UXIS.Company?
One of my partners found UXIS.Company through Behance. They had a portfolio that we liked because it was a similar analysis on another chat app that was similar to ours. We liked their work there so we decided to contact them for the project.
How much have you invested with them?
WeĀ invested just under $6,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The engagement ran through SeptemberāOctober 2020.Ā
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?Ā
We donāt have any full metrics yet since weāve only finished the design aspect and weāre still working on the appās coding. As for anecdotal feedback, weāre having our team of around 200 beta testers try out the design so thatās still pending. But in terms of deliverables, UXIS.Company definitely delivered what they promised and what we needed.
How did UXIS.Company perform from a project management standpoint?
The team was very good with their communication and project management. UXIS.Company was upfront with the scope of the project, timeframe, and cost.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We were impressed with UXIS.Companyās organization skills ā how they set their timelines and made estimates.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I donāt have negative criticisms for their team. I wasĀ satisfied with the work that theyāve put in.Ā
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Know your requirements ahead of time. That was our problem because the functionalities were new to us and we didnāt give them clear guidelines. This isnāt a fault on their end but if we couldāve given them the precise guidelines, they couldāve done the job quicker.

I am the Managing Partner for a tech startup located in Baku, Azerbaijan.
For what projects/services did your company hire UXIS.company?
Fintech has been very popular in Azerbaijan in recent years. Digital wallets and online payment apps are attracting more users with the convenience it brings to users. Thus, we decided to develop our own app and looked for a designer who will help with the user experience.
What were your goals for this project?
We decided to dive into the market with a better alternative. Nowadays, its difficult to bring novelty in the fin-tech, thus the only way we could compete in the market was to develop a product with better user experience.
