Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the head of marketing at TEC Systems, Inc. in Long Island City, New York. We work to provide large-scale developers and contractors with necessary operating systems. Our portfolio includes projects in Yankee Stadium, the Museum of Modern Art, and 432 Park Avenue.

What challenge were you trying to address with Untitled Era?

Prior to this partnership, TEC Systems had not implemented any branding strategies. We wanted to showcase our ability to create effective and comprehensive engineering solutions for our clients. We had a website, but it did not fully explain the extent of our services or fortify our company values. We wanted a distinct brand and a website portfolio with content that illustrates our value proposition for potential clients.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Untitled Era developed our brand strategy and revamped our website to directly represent our company’s experience, values, and goals. They created a cohesive style and provided unique copy, illustrations, and animations to be used on the new website and our social media platforms. The site is published via WordPress and the team used jQuery, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe After Effects to create the content. It is accessible on both desktop and mobile devices. As advised by Untitled, we added an employee page on the website to facilitate communication with our clients and add a personal touch to a heavily system-based company.

They continue to provide content for the website’s biweekly updates, help us with maintenance issues, and inform us of notable industry trends. The team advises and plans PR for rollout campaigns of our latest tools and systems while helping us manage GDP.

What is the team composition?

We work with the two owners. One helps with design, branding, and content rollout and the other manages coding and development.

How did you come to work with Untitled Era?

I came across their online portfolio while looking for a partner to help grow our brand, and they seemed like a great fit for our project.

How much have you invested with them?

We have spent over $50,000 with Untitled Era. We budget at least $12,000—$15,000 for the website each year.

What is the status of this engagement?

The started working with Untitled Era in June 2013. The relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

TEC systems cultivated relationships with various real estate developers, architects, contractors, and electrical and mechanical engineers since its inception. Our partnerships are very important when working on large-scale projects that require multimillion-dollar investments. We received many responses from these clients that praised our branding and the website’s design and accessibility. Our mass emails and updates about current projects have also received more responses. This major progress in client communication and outreach confirms the efficacy of Untitled Era’s services.

How did Untitled Era perform from a project management standpoint?

Untitled Era listened to our plans and did necessary research to find a balance between our internal goals and our clients’ needs. Their strategy gave us more visibility within our field and fostered our client relationships.

This is a true partnership. Untitled Era’s team is very responsive via phone and email, and they’re ready to schedule meetings when necessary. They make an effort to stay up to date on our progress and continue to implement any necessary changes based on changing trends. They ensure we stand out in our field.

What did you find most impressive about them?

For a single company, they cover a wide variety of services. Untitled Era has contributed both written and visual content, web design, a distinct color palette, typography, illustrations, animations, and PR services throughout our partnership. They walk you through the entirety of a project, from start to finish.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We have no complaints. We love working with them.

Any advice for potential customers?

Clients should develop a real relationship with them. This is not a company that will just build a website, they want to tell your story. The comradery between Untitled and TEC Systems has fostered a great work environment, innovation, and clear results.
