A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the Ceo of 3D FIT, a health and safety tech startup. We provide respiratory protection testing by using algorithms to predict whether or not respirators will fit users.
What challenge were you trying to address with Uniwebb Software?
We engaged Uniwebb Software to power our technology.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Uniwebb Software developed a proof of concept for my respirator fitting algorithm. I had several meetings with their team to discuss what I was looking for, and they asked a lot of insightful questions. We went back and forth on the deliverables, but they quickly picked up the concept and documented it well before delivering the final product.
What is the team composition?
I worked with Bo (CEO) and four teammates from Uniwebb Software, including a project manager, an AI machine learning software developer, and a data scientist.
How did you come to work with Uniwebb Software?
I reached out to three software companies I found on LinkedIn, including Uniwebb Software. They ended up being the most responsive and interested in what I was looking for, plus they were a reasonable price.
How much have you invested with them?
I invested $50,000–$100,000 with Uniwebb Software.
What is the status of this engagement?
My partnership with Uniwebb Software began in April 2020, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Uniwebb Software’s final deliverables are precisely what I wanted and exactly on time — the algorithm can predict a respirator fit with 93.5% accuracy. I was able to take the proof of concept Uniwebb Software delivered to investors. Now, I’m in the middle of talks about a merger. Without Uniwebb Software, I’d still be at square one.
How did Uniwebb Software perform from a project management standpoint?
Uniwebb Software utilizes a proprietary project management portal, which helps them keep on top of deliverable deadlines. They’re constantly looking for feedback to ensure deliverables meet my needs. Typically, we communicate via phone calls and email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I appreciated how excited Uniwebb Software was about the discovery period. Other software teams were blasé about my needs, but Uniwebb Software was engaging, and they seemed excited about their work. Additionally, I was impressed with how quickly their team understood what I wanted from my project.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything for Uniwebb Software to improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I’d advise customers to nail down their ideas and requirements for the final deliverable before starting a partnership with Uniwebb Software.

Development for QC inspection Mobile App

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the operations excellence manager at Skyline Homes. We make premanufactured and modular homes.
What challenge were you trying to address with Uniwebb Software?
We had specific requirements for data management and storage during quality checks. However, we were losing a significant amount of information during the production process. We needed an application to manage the data.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Uniwebb Software guided us through the initial production steps and I shared our internal data. We then brainstormed methods to capture information using a mobile cloud-based solution. Next, we defined the project scope and our goals.
The team then produced multiple web-based simulations for the mobile app. The feedback and final build workflows included inspection stations, defect fixes, and increasingly complex requirements. After completing development, they set up a new test server and adjusted the app on site. We’ve completed the testing phase, but the app is not yet live because we are still populating it with data.
What is the team composition?
We work directly with Bo (CEO, Uniwebb Software).
How did you come to work with Uniwebb Software?
I did an online search for local businesses and narrowed the selection to three potential mobile app vendors. After a few conversations with the agencies, I noticed that Uniwebb Software’s portfolio included relevant experience for our project. I hired them because the team had good technical proficiency and was familiar with our requirements.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $50,000–$100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in February 2018 and the partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Initial users like the app’s simple UI and user-friendly functionalities. These features successfully streamline complicated processes. Users can open the application and understand the steps needed to complete particular processes.
Bo’s motivation to deliver a quality solution intensified after we presented the product to our corporate office. That determination led to the current version, which our local management team enjoyed during demonstrations. Ultimately, our success has created new potential growth opportunities.
How did Uniwebb Software perform from a project management standpoint?
They provide excellent and attentive service. Bo dedicates a significant portion of his time to the project; we appreciate his commitment and logical suggestions. Likewise, the team has handled every requirement we set, even for the more complex requests. Our Skype sessions last between 2–3 hours.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Uniwebb Software is flexible and adopts new requests into existing frameworks. This approach enables the team to provide responsive service, and modify and integrate our feedback quickly.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Uniwebb Software’s website should list their services more clearly. At first, we had a hard time identifying the team’s offerings.

Web Dev & Digital Marketing for Ecommerce Mattress Company
“[T]he website is flawless and we’re very happy with what they’ve done.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m an IT manager for Memobed. We’re an e-commerce company that sells mattresses in multiple sizes.
What challenge were you trying to address with Uniwebb Software?
We needed a partner to help us develop a web application.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Uniwebb developed the entire e-commerce website. Once I told them the idea, they were very capable of putting the elements together. We used Spree Commerce as a barebones platform built with Ruby on Rails technology. Everything has been developed on Spree Commerce. They also managed to create a mobile site, so customers don’t have to download a mobile application to have access to Memobed. A notable feature is the special module they created for us. This module allows customers to select a nonprofit organization from a pool of over 1.5 million nonprofits. Once they make a purchase, Memobed makes a 5% donation to that organization on their behalf. To do this, Uniwebb took a similar existing model and integrated it with our site on a smaller level.
They also helped us integrate the Klarna online payment system even though it wasn’t ready in the US yet. Additional services include digital marketing via SEO and implementation of Google AdWords.
What is the team composition?
We worked directly with five members of their team including a project manager, a UI designer, and two developers.
How did you come to work with Uniwebb Software?
We searched online for local development companies and they came up. We considered four other vendors. We needed a company that could utilize graphical interfaces to accurately convey our product and ideas to the consumer. Uniwebb were knowledgeable in that field.
How much have you invested in them?
We spent between $100,000 and $250,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them from June 2016–January 2017.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Developing a dynamic website is a big challenge when working with an e-commerce platform and Uniwebb’s done a fantastic job. They’ve implemented a good system for users to leave feedback and we get a lot of positive reviews. The Klarna integration works great and will eventually allow people to finance mattresses online within five seconds. Regarding functionality, the website is flawless and we’re very happy with what they’ve done. Thanks to their SEO services, we’re near the top of the page when searching for mattresses on Google.
How did Uniwebb Software perform from a project management standpoint?
They were friendly and worked around our schedule. We mostly worked with our project manager but were able to communicate directly with the developers whenever necessary. We never had logistical issues and they didn’t push anything on us. We specifically enjoyed working with one of the UI designers as she was instrumental in coming up with the site’s graphical work. They gave us direct access to the project management system and all of our codes were available via GitHub.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The mobile-based features work perfectly. Also, I didn’t have to micromanage. They quickly grasped the project and performed competently.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. They’ve done a great job and delivered on anything we asked of them.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of PAL's Business Services, a dba under Lavagnino Business Services, LLC. We offer accounting, tax preparation, technology, and web solutions.
What challenge were you trying to address with Uniwebb Software?
We wanted to develop an online registration system for schools, membership or fraternal organizations, colleges, and universities to provide interaction between administrative staff and the potential member, student, client, etc.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They designed the frontend and developed the backend for our online and mobile system.
The scope of work is to allow people to go to the website of an institution or company to register, send their information in, and to choose how they want to make their payments, what the frequencies are, and what types of additional services they desire.
They will also be able to complete photo and driver permissions, along with other things a university might want. They will be able to electronically agree and submit these and then have them sent to an administrative office for review. The administrative office will then finalize the agreement and send the agreement back to the applicant to either accept or reject.
At the end of the process, there will be a completed, legible contract for registration. From that point, the system will take the registration, tuition fees, etc., and send them to a banking entity to pull the payments for our client.
We’ve also added a database management system (DMS) for clients and large companies to hold various kinds of reports and information.
What is the team composition?
I work directly with Bo (CEO, Uniwebb Software).
How did you come to work with Uniwebb Software?
I found Uniwebb through an internet search. I interviewed several web developers, but it seemed like they all had their own idea of what they were going to do for us and tried to tell us what we needed. They were talking more than listening. Uniwebb listened and then developed what we needed, which is something that sets Uniwebb apart from similar service providers.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in October 2015, the project is live now in phase I and further development continues.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I had a lot of knowledge around what our clients needed, but I ended up forgetting an entire area necessary to development. We were going in one direction and had to stop and rewrite things as a result. I would consider this project a part-time development over several years.
The quality of work has been excellent. The most difficult challenge is trying to explain the context of what was needed. The site is functioning well and Uniwebb has been very supportive and accommodating in working with me as the various changes in direction had to be addressed. It's a comprehensive and complex program.
Considering that all development and work was completed remotely, the end result is amazing.
Uniwebb has the technical expertise to develop complex online systems remotely and the depth of the team knowledge is what drove this to a successful conclusion of Phase I.
How did Uniwebb Software perform from a project management standpoint?
It’s been good. Bo has the tools available to do it correctly. He uses MockFlow and other software tools that enable a person to explain pretty comprehensively what is needed for the end product.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I appreciate the ability to communicate with Bo personally to try and explain things. He’s always available and has gone out of his way to do extra work. He’s very intelligent and knows what he’s doing, so I have no desire to use anyone else.
The system is beautiful and has a lot of future potential. It took time to get there and I have confidence that it was worth all the hard work. It's unique in that nobody else is out there building the same system. Uniwebb has done an excellent job on this project and have done so with much lower cost impact than other service providers I considered.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would probably help Uniwebb if they provide a startup template that people who are not experts can use to visually explain what is needed in order to have a more solid start on a project. It took a while to get started due to trying to explain things in both written and verbal formats. Mockflow and Visio are good but not easy or fast to work with when you are running a business and trying to share ideas. I just did not have the amount of time needed sometimes.
The proof of concept Uniwebb Software delivered on time shows the algorithm is 93.5% accurate — the client is now in discussions with investors. The Uniwebb Software team was engaged and enthusiastic about the project, which was managed via a proprietary project management portal.
