We needed the adaptation of our American English video for a group of European languages: German, French, Spanish for promotion in local markets.

Since we have already chosen the voice talents ourselves via the site, we immediately got down to work. The company provided initial calculation, which was totally attractive, so the process was launched promptly.

We tried to note al our demands in the work specification, so there were no special comments as a result.

We needed proofreading of scripts and voice recording, so we had professional translators and voice talents working on our project, but all communication was done with Rachel, the manager.

Unfortunately, all the specific information is confidential, but we can note a significant increase in user loyalty in the European market.

The willingness to go extra mile for the client is always impressive. What was also convenient is that the company has American payment details - this minimized the headache for our accounting department.

Nanobit is a mobile gaming company, based in Zagreb, Croatia, operating Worldwide, in the niche of Interactive stories (Games: Tabou, MyStory). Part of swedish Stillfront group. My role is Head of Marketing. I manage traffic media buying in multiple sources, marketing strategy and video production.

We constantly running video creatives in social networks, for worldwide market (US mainly). Since there was a request to use the video in the native languages so that it would sound as naturally as possible to the end user, we decided to dub our commercials in foreign languages (DE, FR, ES, PT, IT, RU, PT, PL, JP) with the help of Universal media.

What were your goals for this project?

The goals were to get quality voiceovers for game video commercials, in order to increase attractiveness to the customers. Namely, increase CTR% metric.

How did you select Universal Media?

We were looking for a company that would meet the combination of our demands: high quality of the samples on the website, ability to provide services within tight deadlines, expertise of managers during communication and of course the pricelist. It is hard to single out the determining factors, since all of the above mentioned points were equally important.

After a thorough email discussion of our requests, we proceeded with the voices casting. The pool of voice talents we were offered was really impressive. When we once had difficulty choosing, Universal media provided us with a significant number of additional voices! It made us really happy.

After casting was done and the deadline approved, the company started recording and provided all the necessary files on time, taking into account our requests on synchronization. The company did not disclose the technologies it used, but the result exceeded all our expectations!

What was the team composition?

I and my team communicated simultaneously with Kate, Project manager, who supervised the entire work and acted as a link between me and the entire Universal media team (I believe that there was a translator, a sound designer, an accountant, and several other people who clearly participated in the project ).

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After creatives in a foreign languages were launched, analysis showed an increase in conversions compared to videos where English only was used. The videos voiced by male talents showed greater efficiency than female ones. We also received a positive feedback from our foreign partners on the perception of content in their native languages.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had day to day correspondence by e-mail and Slack, we received answers to all our questions within a short time. They were in touch even after working hours, which was a pleasant surprise for us as customers! All timelines were fulfilled.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

First of all, we were impressed by the airy still fully functional and beautiful design of the website containing all the necessary information. It is quite evident that the team worked it out elaborately and with great care. Apart from that, we were also pleased to find out the about the diversity of forms of payment and the fact that the company is represented in different parts of the world, which makes communication easier if you are in a different time zone.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Sending a message via an electronic form on the website did not work out first :) But these are trifles, of course, and generally speaking nothing can be added to make Universal media better - the company is better than good! I can surely recommend it as a partner for any projects in the field of sound recording.

After that, we proceeded to record the voice of our choice and adjust the video so that all the details were localized into the language we needed.

We talked with our account manager, and he, in turn, organized the work of the whole process on the project.

The Russian version of the video was successfully shown on the TV channel, and the English version helped us to establish international contacts at the exhibition. So both options were quite successful in achieving the goal of finding new clients.

You can immediately notice that the company has an excellent working process, the interaction was clear and efficient. We had a very tight deadline for preparing the English version, and we met it in 2 working days.
