JITMeal helps to manage proactively any business: coffee shop, restaurant, food delivery service.
We have designed and developed a turnkey system: backend application with a database and API, main web application, POS-terminal for shops, mobile apps for delivery men, print server, web app for collecting reviews, web app for checks fiscalization by using software-based cash registers, product’s website and website for developers.

We have been working on the project together with client’s technical team that had developed backend app with the database and API by itself. Design was also provided by the client.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m self-employed, so we don’t have our organization in the big business. We have a mobile application that is mainly designed to help and assist Muslims with their prayer times. According to our data, the app is only popular in the eastern part of the world and not in the United States. Additionally, Russia, CIA’s countries, and Europe are getting a boost as well.
What challenge were you trying to address with UBRAINIANS?
I wanted to add features to the app.
What was the scope of their involvement?
UBRAINIANS developed a mobile app for iOS and Android platforms. The app features included sending alerts to Muslims for prayer time and night prayers alerts for people who couldn’t wake up on time. It also had a few other reminders that would be beneficial to Muslims in their daily work and life, such as the Hadith narrations from our Prophet Muhammad.
The UBRAINIANS team composition had been different. We’d started working with three people and then, we’d gone to five. After that, we’d gotten back to three.
At the moment, we’re working on an Android version with two people — we’re working remotely.
How did you come to work with UBRAINIANS?
I knew Dmitry (Owner & CEO) before UBRAINIANS was created. We had worked on projects one-on-one. After that, he founded his company, and we continued working together.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $135,000–$150,000 throughout these years.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with UBRAINIANS in October 2014, and they delivered the first version of the app in April 2015.
The application is almost complete now, and UBRAINIANS is tweaking what is required from time to time, and we’re doing that.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’ve helped a lot in moving forward with the app, and the metrics have been very successful — I haven’t expected the app to be as successful as it is now. The app’s active users are close to millions per month, and every day, it practically has 10,000 downloads on both systems. Overall, the UBRAINIANS team has been very good, otherwise, I wouldn’t be working with them.
How did UBRAINIANS perform from a project management standpoint?
We’d communicated through email and Telegram. We kept in touch almost every day. UBRAINIANS was very responsive when I had an issue with deliverables or timing.
There were setbacks throughout the project, but their team was able to resolve and remedy the issues very quickly. UBRAINIANS tracked the project, and they told me about the current state of it, whether there were delays or problems.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The most comfortable aspect that I found working with UBRAINIANS was that they tried to understand our project and completely got into it. They weren’t familiar with the app features at all because they didn’t know about the Muslim faith until now. Nevertheless, they’d been able to fulfill all the tasks that I’d given to them according to the technical papers I provided. UBRAINIANS asked questions about the information and made sure they properly understood enough to come back with results. They were driven by the end results and so was I.
Are there any areas they could improve?
UBRAINIANS could improve on making their workforce good and diverse. In general, I’m referring to all their systems, including Android and iOS. I couldn’t complain about it because I’m only working with two platforms now, but sometimes, I need to do network tests.
All these years I’d been working with UBRAINIANS, I’d never had an issue I would criticize them for. Even though there had been a short break in between us and I’d applied for another company, I’d gone back to them again to continue working together.
Once, we had an issue with a person that was working on my project and had to leave his job at the company. UBRAINIANS was able to find a replacement fairly quickly, which helped me continue with the app development and updates, which were very important during that period.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a partner at a sports startup. We’re looking to help organize and support professional and casual sports events.
What challenge were you trying to address with UBRAINIANS?
We wanted to develop an app suite to help achieve our company’s mission. We’re starting with a focus on tennis, but we want to expand our scope to other sports in the future.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Their team built iOS and Android mobile apps that allow our end users to connect with event and facility managers to browse available resources, sign up for particular events, and be able to book spaces as needed. They developed these apps from scratch. They’ve also helped us fix issues that previous companies left in the code for our desktop solution. We continue to work together to prepare for the mobile app launch. They also provide us with development advice.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked directly with the company owner and one of the developers. With how quickly they’re able to work, I’m sure there are other people working on the project behind the scenes.
How did you come to work with UBRAINIANS?
We found them on a marketing website. They’re the third development firm we’ve brought in. The first two teams were more interested in marketing themselves than actually doing the work, so I made sure to conduct a thorough search in seeking out a new partner. We found several teams that looked good on paper, but UBRANIANS was leagues ahead of the rest of them. They were clear about their capabilities and didn’t try to upsell us. They were direct in representing themselves. Dmitry (Owner & CEO) was knowledgeable about the subject matter. He had clearly researched us and asked us the most pertinent questions of anyone we spoke with.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent less than $10,000 with them so far. We expect to spend much more in the next phase of the project.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since October 2020. We’re in the refinancing stage now. Once we get the funds we need to continue, we plan to continue working with them.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve dealt with a lot of firms, and their team is exceptional. They’re thorough in planning and proactively ask questions to get any unknowns out of the way early. The quality of their work is well above average. If we do find any issues, they’re right there to discuss them with us and get them cleared up immediately. There’s never a backlog of issues, which keeps us moving according to schedule. We always have conversations with each other to ensure that the requirements we provide are translated properly into the code behind their deliverables.
How did UBRAINIANS perform from a project management standpoint?
We proposed an intermediary tracking tool through GitLab. They’ve been successful in utilizing it. They contribute steps to the platform in a timely manner and take any issues we input and package them into manageable batches that they then fix. They’ve found a great middle-ground in this regard.
What did you find most impressive about them?
In my experience, a team is only as good as its owner. Dmitry takes personal responsibility for the delivery, which makes his team successful.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They’re so far above what we’ve seen before that it’s really hard to say.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The owner really delivers. He’s their best resource, and he’ll never upsell you. He’s able to see the details and the big picture, which is rare for a team of their size.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
We are a startup for life science laboratory management systems in Germany. We provide an application for our customers, which are research laboratories, and we also sell label printers.
What challenge were you trying to address with UBRAINIANS?
We needed to develop our product, which includes a mobile application and the backend server.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had done some development before we engaged with UBRAINIANS, but internally we had addressed business issues and architecture. We found them and addressed the technical challenges and what needed to be done to deliver the product that we described to the customer.
The app was developed on a cross-platform framework and it is available on Android and iOS. Generally, our users are a group of people who save their inventory within the laboratory environment. There is a list of locations and a list of items with particular features, and the user can store them, update, print labels and photos, as well as communicate with other team members within the app.
What is the team composition?
We work with a backend engineer, a mobile development engineer, a frontend engineer, a tester, as well as a project manager at times. In total, there were 4–5 team members from UBRAINIANS.
How did you come to work with UBRAINIANS?
We searched for particular features. The first small project we did with them was about a printer application, but it was done very quickly. We then switched to app development.
The initial idea was that they would only develop the printer application because they already had experience with that, and it was not very common. Then we decided to develop other parts of the project with UBRAINIANS.
How much have you invested in them?
We invested around €50,000 (approximately $60,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing engagement began in December 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We trace technical parameters and bugs, and we also ask our customers if they are happy with the product and we are also happy with it. Our colleagues are really happy. They delivered the agreed features in time and they also think about what they can do that is best, and they provide us with good feedback which we appreciate.
They have learned along with us to do something new and we are happy with them. They have a dynamic team that is relatively young. They learn fast and they work hard.
How did UBRAINIANS perform from a project management standpoint?
We are pretty happy with UBRAINIANS project management. We have since taken most of the project management on our sitd, but we did start with their project management and then we switched mostly to ours. Things are delivered on time and have been working well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The price was impressive given the value we reiceved. Of course, we can go faster with other funding, but for our environment, we have found a good speed I believe.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They started with the cross-platform mobile development and we have learned a lot with them, and I think they have learned to improve their service as well.

We were needed to develop a map which will help us to show our service providers (Esteticains) for final clients. The goal was to develop an application that should allow us:
- manage a database of service providers (Estheticians) and services which they provide (Different facial type)
- show the map with proper services for final clients on specified webpages (developed in WordPress and Landingi.com)
- generate leads, accept requests from final clients and send them a personalized email with generated personalized PDF
How did you select UBRAINIANS and what were the deciding factors?
For a long time (9 months), I searched for developers for my project, already signed a contract once, and the job wasn't done. This project was complex but not big enough for big teams to accept it. I heard from one friend that he found some team developing an ERP with adequate cost and speed.
I contacted these developers it's was UBRAINIANS, and after one skype call, we agreed to work together. They offered adequate MVP cost and schedule. Mainly they were excited to do our project as it's was interesting for them.

We start to generate 2-3 leads a day for our service providers; it's increased our sales by 10.000 Euro/month and improved our authority as a trustable partner. This app was applied and translated into 4 languages on different websites: hu/nl/pl/com.

We used email, skype, and chat. I know that they are using Jira for project management, but it wasn't needed for my needs.
Project steps were easy:
- Technical Specification from me sent to the UBRAINIANS team
- UBRAINIANS discussed the task and scheduled a call to agree on their solution
- UBRAINIANS develop functions and sent them on a review (in test account)
- After the bug report, they fixed issues and released an updated version
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
- They are fulfilling perfect results independently of task size; few times, we had tiny tasks (2-3 hours of coding), and they still treat as a project and pay attention to them.
- CEO is a technical expert who knows how to develop software. He is diving into your project and coming out with the most efficient solutions.
- Timeline, they deliver on time.

It would be great to have testers on their side. But as I worked with a limited budget, we didn't raise this question.

I am Manager of social projects at the International Charitable Foundation “Alliance for Public Health” that is a leading non-governmental professional organization making a significant impact on the epidemics of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, viral hepatitis and other socially dangerous diseases in Ukraine.
My role is to create and provide innovative activities to make HIV services closer and available to different risk groups.
For what projects/services did your company hire UBRAINIANS, and what were your goals?
As part of the HealthLink project, we wanted to create an innovative website that allowed representatives of HIV-at-risk groups to receive up-to-date information on the ranking of health care facilities and doctors, as well as all necessary information on obtaining HIV services in such facilities and online consultations with doctors.
UBRAINIANS fully met our needs, actively participated in the creation of not only the website, but also the mobile application, which was used by public reporters in the evaluation of facilities and doctors.
UBRAINIANS also offered various successful options for the implementation of our tasks, which is a unique professional characteristic. All our goals have been achieved and since December 2020 we have launched the last section of the website "Online Consultations", which allows patients from risk groups to get an online consultation from a medical specialists.
How did you select UBRAINIANS and what were the deciding factors?
We contacted UBRAINIANS on the advice of our colleagues from another department, who have already worked with the company and were very pleased with their mobile application developed by the company. The main aspects of the selection for us were:

We held a series of meetings with UBRAINIANS representatives, where we voiced our goals and objectives. At such meetings, we also discussed possible solutions and approved a number of works. Subsequently, UBRAINIANS presented us developments, which we discussed, agreed or made certain changes and additions.
The company also provided instructions and training for mobile application users and administrators, as well as provided quality product support. In general, the process itself was as follows:
- Creation of a mobile application "Check&Rate" connected to the website https://help24.org.ua/ for assessment and rating of health care facilities and doctors (2019);
- Conducting training for users and administrators of mobile application (2019);
- In parallel, a website was created, which displayed the data collected using the mobile application (2019-2020).
- Creating a website design and logo.
- Creation of a single administrative part for handling site data and mobile application.
- Development and launch of the first module "Health care facilities" (2019): creation of a page with a list of health care facilities, their rating, filters and information, as well as the ability to evaluate the facility online.
- Development and launch of the second module "Doctors" (2020): creating a page with a list of doctors, their rating, filters and information, as well as the ability to evaluate a doctor online.
- Development and launch of the third module "Online consultations" (2020): creation of a system of online consultations via video communication on the platform Help24, as well as registration functionality, appointment, creation of doctor's and patient's offices, opportunities to exchange documents during online consultations, as well as conducting online consultations of doctors. At the same time, a system of administrative support and online chat was added to the website.
- Training for doctors and administrators (2020). 10) Ongoing product and user support (2020-2021). Additional refinements are currently underway after the pilot launch and feedback from users.

We mostly contacted the general manager, he received assignments from us and presented the results. Designers, IT developers and testers also participated in product development.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
With the help of the mobile application we were able to evaluate 176 health care facilities and 130 doctors in 12 regions of Ukraine (key regions of the project). 6720 questionnaires were filled out and 6114 patients were interviewed.
Since the launch of the third module "Online Consultations" (December 2020), 33 online consultations have been conducted and many positive reviews and thanks from patients have been received.

From the beginning of the project, deadlines were identified and implemented. It was also proposed to meet every two weeks (when the project began) and every week (at last month of the project) to present the work done.
The meetings took place at the Alliance's office. Since the introduction of the strict lockdown in Ukraine, communication has been switched to online using zoom and skype.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
First of all, it is a unique ability of UBRAINIANS to offer effective solutions to achieve our goals.
Today many IT-companies are ready to perform work only on the clear technical task provided to them. But UBRAINIANS helped us to find solutions, because the project was innovative and had no analogues in Ukraine. And this allowed us to launch the project as quickly as possible.
Also, their flexibility and focus on the result and the client was very suitable for us. Because innovation requires a special approach and often had to make changes to the product. And we were also very pleased with the price of the product we were offered.

UBRAINIANS delivered a very high-quality product. Any pilot run involves the active use of the product to find bugs and fix them. And in this regard, UBRAINIANS very quickly made all the necessary changes.
