Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a SaaS software service for ticket holders who want to transfer their tickets using a secondary market.
What challenge were you trying to address with Trident Analytical Solutions?
We worked together with Trident Analytical Solutions to create a web-based platform and backend Python/Selenium bot to automate our site.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They built the bot and connected it to a platform they built in SQL. They also created the frontend of the web platform, working on the UI and on how the users interact with the bot.
What is the team composition?
I speak to one head manager, and they have a programmer and a designer/developer on the team as well.
How did you come to work with Trident Analytical Solutions?
We found them on Upwork, and they stood out to us because they had a lot of experience with programming. They seemed trustworthy and were at a great price point.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve paid them a little over $10,000, and we estimate that our total investment will be around $30,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working with them since October 2019. The relationship is ongoing as we’re starting a bigger project with them.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’re amazing and do pretty much everything I say. I ask them if they can do something, and then I ask them to go do it. Their answers are always yes to both questions, and they’re very fast at accomplishing their tasks.
How did Trident Analytical Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
Communication and collaboration are mostly fine—the time difference is the only issue because I have to stay up late to talk to them. To communicate, we use email and text. We primarily work with GitHub to collaborate with them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their bot making skills are incredibly impressive. Both their selenium skills and their skills at making headless Chromes are fantastic.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Honestly, there are no ways they can improve.

As part of our service we needed to manually prospect for services that clients advertise on a job board. This was extremely time consuming and repetitive work.
Additionally, none of the staff wanted to do it! I turned to Trident to source a solution.
How did you select Trident Analytical Solutions and what were the deciding factors?
I'll be honest, I had no idea what I needed. I just knew there must be a better way. So I reached out and was clear about how little I knew and TAS took care of the rest. The initial prototype was so much more than I could have expected.

I outlined step by step instructions in a Word document with screenshots to capture what I manually did. TAS then came back with a Python bot that automated the whole process!

Since starting the bot in July 2013, it has increased the consistency of work and saved 1.5 hours a day of data entry.

To make something that seems incredibly complicated so easy for someone like me who has no Python knowledge.

As I don't know anything about automation it would great for the team to recommend areas where they could help.
