Please describe your company and your position there.
I am Director of Engineering for EGYM, representing the largest training floor platform for fitness facilities. With fully electronic exercise equipment, a unique training concept, and our vendor- independent EGYM ONE platform, we’ve laid the perfect foundations for a successful business that meets your customers’ needs – keeping them happy and loyal.
For what projects/services did your company hire Triangu?
After business restructuring, we faced with the necessity to merge our two Atlassian cloud tools (Jira, Confluence) into one space.
What were your goals for this project?
Migrating the data from two Jira cloud instances into a single instance and then perform the same operation for the Confluence clouds. Since Atlassian doesn't offer an instance merging service, Triangu needed to find a solution for this challenge themselves. Furthermore, that solution had to work flawlessly and had no place for an error, considering that losing data was impermissible.
How did you select this vendor?
Via professional reference.
Describe the project in detail.
Triangu couldn't simply take the cloud backup and unpack it on the Jira cloud because a part of the data would be lost. The loss of even the tiniest portion of data was unacceptable, so they had to find a way to keep the data intact on both instances — the one they were migrating from and the one migrating to. Also, they were required to keep all settings and history as they were. We have proposed to split the process into two steps. The first step was testing — Triangu downloaded the data from two Jira Clouds to their servers and merged it. Then they fixed all issues that came up during those procedures and uploaded the data from the third test server to the test cloud. The steps above were taken due to the impossibility of reaching the database directly from the cloud. Triangu had to download all the data as is and then bring it to the proper format for merging. After the successful execution, we performed User Acceptance Testing and stayed satisfied with the result. Having achieved the desired outcomes, Triangu repeated the process to include the new data that was generated by us while Triangu ran the tests.
What was the team composition?
The team consisted of Project Manager and 2 Atlassian certified experts from Triangu side.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Triangu found a way to successfully merge two Jira clouds and two Confluence clouds without any data, settings, and history loss. It definitely was a success.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Quite effective and efficient. We had a minor slip in milestones, but this was due to a new challenges detected with our data.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Great professional commitment, fearless attitude towards challenges, almost 24/7 work. Agile commercial approach, acceptance of own issues with underestimations in the fixed price project. Superb and friendly communication team2team.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Some sales and marketing could be less aggressive, but I guess, this is a common sales flaw, especially when facing the engineering.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I’m the CIO at Astarta-Kiev, a vertically-integrated agri-industrial holding. We are the number one milk and sugar producer in Ukraine.
For what projects/services did your company hire Triangu?
As our company continued to grow, our existing ticket-tracking system and knowledge management database (KMDB) were unable to keep pace with changing requirements. We could not rank tickets by service catalog, implement SLA/OLA, track resource planning, or estimate change requests. Therefore, we needed to migrate and integrate Atlassian products for IT software management (ITSM).
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to implement ITSM based on ITIL v3 processes and scrum/agile methodologies for software development, business analysis, and project execution.
How did you select this vendor?
Industry partners recommended Triangu. They delivered top results in procurement procedures.
Describe the project in detail.
Triangu standardized IT business processes, including user support; service catalog and software delivery management; and project and knowledge management. Their team migrated data from our legacy ticketing system to Jira. They preserved existing ticket statuses and business process flows to prevent negative user experiences.
What was the team composition?
We worked with a project manager, a business analyst, a service desk manager, and an Atlassian engineer.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
IDEMIA is a multinational company in the security mobility domain. We provide services to global financial institutions, mobile operators, public security, and citizen identity. We have a team of 14,000 people from all over the world. I am the head of delivery within the mobile operator business unit, in charge of solution deployment and support.
What challenge were you trying to address with Triangu?
We obtained a market within the Commonwealth of Independent States, specifically Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine. These regions have native Russian speakers, which is why we decided to work with Triangu.
We knew them previously and had worked together within another company for support. We were happy with their results and professionalism, so we decided to contract several services with them, including project management and business development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We provide mobile financial services for mobile operators. Clients can use their phones as mobile wallets, keeping money in their mobile accounts instead of having an account at a bank. We propose these solutions to mobile operators so they can provide services to their subscribers.
We won a deal with a global group serving the countries previously mentioned, and started the deployment of this solution. Within this scope, Triangu manages the project in Kazakhstan and Ukraine. They also supply integrators who finalize statements of work. They approve and validate specifications with the customer, based on our product and its customizations. They put together a statement of work based on discussions with the customer.
We develop solutions in our own labs and run R&D in different areas. Triangu validates the delivery, ensuring that what we produce is in line with the statement of work to which the customer has agreed. This involves technical validation and installation on different platforms, as well as acceptance testing with the customer. They provide global project management, including invoicing.
This isn't really development since the core of the product only changes in our labs in the U.S. They perform integration, customization, and configuration based on customer needs. They also offer additional business consultancy, in which they help our customers ride down their requirements and needs.
What is the team composition?
Integrators and technical engineers from their team manage the integrations. They have the computer science skills to deploy these solutions under Linux operating systems, using Oracle databases and three-layer applications with redundancy. It’s a full and complicated solution that requires technical expertise.
How did you come to work with Triangu?
Most of them were working for us through another company. When they gained independence and built their own company, we decided to work with them as well.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Triangu’s team in 2014 when our company had a different name. We have a long-term ongoing project with them. So far, we haven’t explored opportunities to work with Triangu on other projects.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’ve helped move the product within the customer’s proximity. They’re professional, and they know what they’re doing. While working in these countries, their Russian language competency is a plus for us.
How did Triangu perform from a project management standpoint?
Their performance is very good. We store our information on Jira and Confluence. Within these two projects, Triangu integrates with our team. They use our global delivery tools, perform the same kind of reporting, and participate in weekly meetings with different project managers.
We’ve integrated them with our own team, using our own project deployment methodology. We have weekly calls, we use email, and we have face-to-face visits in Ukraine. They are responsive, deliver on time, and do things as expected 95% of the time.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They are very professional.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could improve by reducing their prices. They are doing well, but there’s always room for improvement.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Look at Triangu’s services and product documents. We know what they can do, but I’ve never visited their website and am not sure how they describe their services as we deal with them directly.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of Tabulate, an end-to-end bookkeeping and payroll company initially focused exclusively on restaurants. Our software powers the bookkeeping and payroll services that we provide.
What challenge were you trying to address with Triangu?
We didn’t have anyone on our team with expertise to run our Amazon Web Services (AWS). We needed someone to manage continuous integration, backup, redundancy, and scalability.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We initially hired Triangu to just do our AWS setup, but now they manage our entire infrastructure. They set up and help select servers, provide guidance on other infrastructure tools we should use, and streamline our services. They inform our best practices and release code in test environments before it goes into production. We’ve had them do server configurations and collaborated on if we should use Docker containers. They monitor our server performance and fix any issues with memory, processing, capability, or other features.
We recently assigned them to work on our data infrastructure. They ensure the data we’ve collected is backed up and recoverable. They also run our disaster recovery processes, including documentation. If something goes wrong on either the server or app level, they make sure we can recover from it and prevent it from happening again.
What is the team composition?
We have two main points of contact. If I have a small technical question, I’ll just ask a team member. The team has gotten as large as five people, depending on the project.
How did you come to work with Triangu?
One of our partners brought them on for a different project. It went well, so we decided to partner again.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $50,000–$100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since 2014.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We measure success based on the number of issues we have with our infrastructure, which isn’t many. When they do happen, Triangu implements both immediate and long-term solutions to keep the infrastructure running. Users have said the system is efficient and easy to use. We’ve had outside consultants examine our infrastructure, and they say it looks great.
How did Triangu perform from a project management standpoint?
Triangu is highly responsive and readily available; the time difference isn’t a problem. If there’s an emergency in the evening or on the weekend, Triangu usually responds within a few hours.
We mainly communicate over Skype but also use email to summarize discussions.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Because of Triangu, I don’t have to worry about our server crashing. They take care of everything and make my job much less stressful. If something does go wrong, they fix it immediately.
When we first started, we were a small company, but Triangu still treated us well. They’ve always provided high-quality work. Triangu uses cutting-edge technology and keeps our system updated and dynamic.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Sometimes I have to request additional documentation, but it’s not that bad.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Clearly define your expectations and project goals. If you do, they’ll deliver.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the head of engineering in a Swedish-owned company called Remit AB. We provide outsourcing, out staffing, and offshoring services for client companies. We provide an entire set of services, working with clients from the idea stage to development.
What challenge were you trying to address with Triangu?
We lack DevOps knowledge and needed a company to assist us in this area.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Triangu engaged with us to make assessments on several of our projects. They participated in creating architectural approaches and worked through business projects to assess their current state.
They implemented and delivered a solution with CI/CD, infrastructure monitoring implementation, and CD delivery optimization.
There were also some projects where they did the technical assessments. They gave us their proposals on what should be done, where to begin, different changes needed, and what process would provide the best results.
Throughout, Triangu proposes process ideas to us and we use them as an outsourcing partner to take on some of our customer requests. They are currently working on delivering a project for one of our customers and developing demo screens. There’s been a continuous delivery of products throughout this integration.
What is the team composition?
They provide a senior-level QA expert, in-house engineers, and a top-level management person that addresses questions/requests, resource planning, and acts as the main point of contact.
How did you come to work with Triangu?
We had been searching for a DevOps partner, and Triangu was referred to us. We had a discussion and started to work together.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in 2015 and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We have seen an increase in performance. Our collaboration continues to be quite successful, which is why we are still working with them.
How did Triangu perform from a project management standpoint?
In most projects, we handle project management from our side, but they communicate well with us and provide great resources.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re professional and we can easily engage with them on any new DevOps business approach. They are responsive and flexible communicators.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They specialize in AWS, but they could expand and grow in their expertise.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Engage with them as much as possible from the very start, the sooner the better. Give them your ideas. Some issues can be avoided by getting on the same page with one another. Their engineers propose different solutions and ways to improve the process of delivery. Listen to them, as they have great ideas and know what they’re doing.
Triangu successfully merged the Atlassian product. The workflow was efficient and effective. They were very committed to the problem
