Staff Augmentation for Technology Company
“We were very impressed with the quality of the software engineers that Travancore Analytics provided over the years.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I was the director of engineering for a technology company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Travancore Analytics?
We needed a company that could provide us with mobile app and AR development support.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We hired Travancore Analytics as an extension of our teams to work on projects related to mobile app development, specifically in the fields of immersive media experiences, VR, and AR. They provided our internal team with additional resources depending on a specific project’s needs. There were also times when we just provided them with the entire scope of work and let them handle it, which was more of a statement-of-work-based engagement.
In both those types of engagement, we provided them with our skillset and seniority requirements, and they were tasked with finding the right candidates for us if they didn’t already have them on their team.
Travancore Analytics was responsible for developing and deploying iOS and Android mobile apps for us. They also worked on some VR platforms that run on top of Android-based development environments. One of their most notable works was a cross-platform VR media experience library for both iOS and Android.
What is the team composition?
The size of the team that we worked with varied over the years, depending on the project that we were working on.
How did you come to work with Travancore Analytics?
Travancore Analytics was referred to us by another company that we had worked with.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent over $3 million on their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from January 2017-July 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Travancore Analytics had very good validation and release processes. Whenever there were issues after releases, they were very quick to respond and address them. Their commitment and the SLA that they provided for the resolution of issues that came up were excellent.
How did Travancore Analytics perform from a project management standpoint?
Travancore Analytics performed well in terms of project management. There were some hiccups and differences between the way their team and ours managed our tasks, but that didn’t really affect the engagement. Overall, they provided frequent updates and reports and communicated effectively throughout our partnership.
We used Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation, Bitbucket for source code management, and Slack for communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We were very impressed with the quality of the software engineers that Travancore Analytics provided over the years. We had worked with many other development companies before, and we found that their engineers were better in quality compared to other vendors.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure to have a very clear goal and requirements in mind. It’s also important to overcommunicate, especially when working with overseas vendors.

Software Staff Augmentation for Traffic Radar Manufacturer
"They're a reliable partner, and they've done a pretty spectacular job so far."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a manager at a company that manufactures traffic radars. These radars are used in the electronic signs at the side of the road. The Department of Transportation also uses our product to measure speed and traffic volumes on highways.
What challenge were you trying to address with Travancore Analytics?
We needed software development services, and we had trouble finding resources in our area, so we decided to outsource.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Travancore Analytics helped us with staff augmentation. We requested PHP and Javascript developers with experience in large cloud databases. They offered us some candidates’ resumes, and we initially picked two people.
Their team developed our radar cloud software. Multiple radars from different countries call into this cloud software, and our customers can visualize the radar data on a cloud server, check radar status, and generate reports. The team from Travancore Analytics provides maintenance and adds features to the software. They also fix bugs when necessary.
The development team works remotely. Travancore Analytics provides them with tools and infrastructure, ensuring that they are adequately compensated and have growth opportunities. We work with the developers directly, providing requirements, oversight, and reviews. I give them tasks, and when they complete them, they report to me.
Recently, we added additional teammates to develop an Android application, and we’re planning to kick off a project to create an iOS with them soon.
What is the team composition?
There are currently four people from Travancore Analytics working on our project. We have two teammates working full-time on the cloud software, and we recently added two more teammates for the Android app development. Additionally, a project manager provides oversight and technical support for the developers.
How did you come to work with Travancore Analytics?
Since we had trouble hiring in our area, we searched for software companies in India and shortlisted Travancore Analytics.
How much have you invested with them?
So far, we’ve spent over $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in April 2018, and the engagement is ongoing.
We anticipate that we’ll keep working with Travancore Analytics, adding more teammates every year.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve been very happy with Travancore Analytics’ work. The system they’re working on is still in production, and sometimes defects can leak to the customer. The Travancore Analytics team has been very good about preventing these defect leaks as much as possible.
Most of their tasks have been 80%–90% on time, which is remarkable because these are very complicated technical products, and delays are very common.
How did Travancore Analytics perform from a project management standpoint?
We use Mattermost for communication, and we have four meetings a week with the development team and the project manager. The developers work off of bug-tracking software, and we use Agile cycles. For example, I give them six tasks to work on, and at the end of the week, we review and deploy them.
Though there have been schedule delays, the Travancore Analytics team is very open about them. We’ve never really been upset about a schedule delay because they happen for very good reasons.
Travancore Analytics provides a project manager on their side even though we don’t pay for that resource. The project manager oversees our outsourced team, and they do 3–4 reviews a month. They’re also good about asking for our feedback through a questionnaire they send us.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I find their proactiveness and honesty impressive. For example, sometimes we can’t see certain issues from here, such as a teammate having health issues or other personal problems that might cause changes. Travancore Analytics is very mindful of identifying these issues and letting us know upfront.
Many outsourcing companies keep their clients in the dark about who they’re working with, whereas Travancore Analytics is very straightforward — if there’s a problem, they’ll be the first ones to tell me. Thanks to their proactiveness, I don’t have to worry about whether their operations are working, and I can focus on my local team.
I also appreciate that they’ll let me interview new resources and put them into my project free of charge for 2–3 weeks while I evaluate them. Travancore Analytics has many types of resources that are hard to come by here in our area. As a result, they can ramp up operations pretty quickly. For example, if we need a new developer and no one is available at the time, they’ll find someone as soon as possible and be attentive to what we want. Some of their teammates come from a satellite research project, so they have a lot of helpful resources with many capabilities at Travancore Analytics. They’re a reliable partner, and they’ve done a pretty spectacular job so far.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There isn’t anything they need to improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I recommend you break up the project into small steps. I’ve been managing offshore teams for a very long time, and it’s hard work. A good partnership doesn’t happen automatically, and it only works when you talk continuously with your outsourced team.
Don’t try too many things at once; break the project into manageable, bite-sized parts and verify everything they do.

How did you come to work with Travancore Analytics?
Travancore Analytics was recommended to us by another nonprofit organization in the US.
How much have you invested with them?
We've invested around $100,000 with Travancore Analytics thus far.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our partnership with Travancore Analytics began in January 2020, and it's ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our users love our website, which has met our needs as our business has grown. I'm 100% satisfied with the deliverables Travancore Analytics has provided. They’ve met our expectations, delivering precisely what we requested.
How did Travancore Analytics perform from a project management standpoint?
Travancore Analytics is very organized and sticks to schedules better than my company. We have weekly meetings with Travancore Analytics over Zoom, making communication very easy.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Travancore Analytics has a great team and is very organized.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can't think of anything Travancore Analytics can improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My only advice to future customers is to give Travancore Analytics a shot!

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the application development manager for a health care service at a hospital in Australia. My department is in charge of the quality assurance and safety of medications.
What challenge were you trying to address with Travancore Analytics?
We hired Travancore Analytics to perform custom software development for a larger project.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Travancore Analytics is working with our in-house development team to develop a commercial, web-based application. The project they are working on now is a legacy product, but they're starting this new development phase from scratch. The Travancore Analytics team is responsible for delivering the source code, system functionalities, and back- and frontend designs that their UX/UI teammates develop.
Our web app is a software tool that private hospital clinicians use to prescribe antimicrobial drugs. The system provides decision support to guide users when prescribing antibiotics or medications to treat patients. It also allows hospital stewards to monitor prescriptions and their appropriateness. There is also an auditing report function.
Soon, we'll implement cybersecurity measures Travancore Analytics developed.
What is the team composition?
The team from Travancore Analytics includes a scrum master, two frontend developers, one HTML developer, two backend developers, four full stack developers, and a QA lead.
How did you come to work with Travancore Analytics?
When we first started looking into offshore developers, my teammate had already worked with them and recommended them to us. I contacted them and another company in India and gave them similar work to complete as a sort of test. Travancore Analytics stood out for their services and experienced team — we liked how they approached our project.
How much have you invested with them?
We've invested $1 million AUD (approximately $717,500 USD) with Travancore Analytics.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with Travancore Analytics on this project in September 2018, and it will be released in December 2021. We also plan to engage them next year on more web developments.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We will launch the beta version of the web app in December 2021. There are a lot of complex components, but the app's scalability is great — Travancore Analytics has done a great job with the development. They are able to deliver complex solutions that can be used for multiple purposes; their team completely exceeds my expectations.
I am 100% satisfied with Travancore Analytics's work so far. We've also just released a demo to our customer pipeline, and they really like it.
How did Travancore Analytics perform from a project management standpoint?
We work as a hybrid team; our in-house team coordinates with the Travancore Analytics team on the project. The scrum master manages the development and serves as our main point of contact. They are good at meeting their deadlines, and if their team can't, they're very upfront about it.
I talk to the scrum master biweekly and join the weekly planning meeting every fortnight, but the technical lead works directly with the Travancore Analytics developers daily. Generally, we communicate and host our meetings with them on Zoom.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Travancore Analytics' commitment to the project and honesty set them apart from their competitors.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don't know if they have anything to improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would advise customers to clearly explain their expectations and challenges at the beginning of the project. It's also important for the customer to lay out the type of involvement they want and their reporting expectations. The Travancore Analytics team will accommodate their customers, tailoring their functions to suit customers' needs.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the managing director of Navare Solutions Limited. We’re a software company that provides solutions for transport and logistics companies in New Zealand. We’re now trying to establish our business outside of New Zealand.
What challenge were you trying to address with Travancore Analytics?
We needed help with staff augmentation because we were struggling to find talents for our frontend and Angular development needs. As a result, we engaged with Travancore Analytics to provide us with qualified talents.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We mostly manage the projects from New Zealand, and we just give Travancore Analytics the project’s requirements. Their services include frontend development and testing. So far, they completed a transport management system. They also managed the completion of our mobility scanning solution project.
What is the team composition?
There are around seven people in total that have worked on our projects. We mainly work with developers who are working on Android, AngularJS, C#, .NET, and APIs. We also work with testers, and we’re currently engaged with graphic designers.
How did you come to work with Travancore Analytics?
One of my friends recommended them to me. It was very easy to deal with them because they were cooperative and they easily understood our situation. We also liked that if we ever needed a project manager or consultant, they had resources to help us with that. Furthermore, we were impressed that they had good employees who had very good hands-on experience, unlike other companies that didn’t have a lot of experience in what we needed.
How much have you invested in them?
I spend around $14,000–$15,000 a month.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in April 2017, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their developers have a lot of talent and have been through a lot of training. Overall, they know what they’re doing, which is why I like them.
How did Travancore Analytics perform from a project management standpoint?
We manage most of the projects, but their project management is also good. We mainly use Jira and it’s been working very well for us. They’re good at providing what we need, and they have a lot of talented people on their team with project management experience.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their whole team is very approachable and accessible. In fact, their accessibility is their main advantage over their competitors.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there is much to improve. The quality of their work is good, but they have room for improvement in the domain management area.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Travancore Analytics to anyone. They’re good at tackling development projects. Overall, I'm very happy with them.

E-Commerce & AR/VR Development for Houseware Company
“They’ve achieved everything we’ve set out to do.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner and founder of Zojila. We design, manufacture, market, and sell houseware products.
What challenge were you trying to address with Travancore Analytics?
I hired Travancore for their web, app, and AR/VR development services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I’ve used Travancore for different things. The first time I used them was for migrating my online business from one platform to another.
Currently, they’re creating an app for me. The app will be used on the websites for customers to visualize the product using AR technology. For website development, they use HTML, JavaSCript, and PHP. Moreover, they’re using Blender, 3D CAD modeling, and other pieces of software for AR development.
When doing projects together, we initially have discussions. I give them an SoW, covering the project’s requirements, my budget, delivery times, and how I expect the project to be managed. Then, the Travancore team reviews the work. They tell me if they need to update costs, change the structure of the project, or comment on the task flow. From there, I review the documents we have. If the terms are acceptable, I go ahead and sign the project contract. They start working on it at that point.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with about 10 people from Travancore. For every project, my initial interactions are with the same people from their management team, especially with their project managers. After laying out and defining the project, they create a team that will implement the tasks.
How did you come to work with Travancore Analytics?
I did a lot of due diligence before talking to Travancore and using their service because I’d seen many fly-by-night companies that didn’t know what they were doing. Initially, I looked for references and talked to people for good development companies. Then, I was referred to Travancore by other people in the software business.
Once I started talking to Travancore, I realized that I knew their founder, who had an outstanding reputation. He also had a huge business in the US and was an approved contractor for NASA. In other words, Travancore’s credentials and their team’s ability to do extremely high-tech work were well-established. On top of that, I had a relationship with them on a personal level. As a result, I decided to hire them.
How much have you invested with them?
I spent around $5,000 on the first project. For the second project, I’ve only paid a down payment.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our first project was from May–August 2020. Meanwhile, the AR development project is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’m happy with what Travancore has done in our projects. They’ve achieved everything we’ve set out to do; we’ve transferred one database to another without any loss of data. The team has also addressed and taken care of any issues that have come up during the process. As a final result, the product works without any issues. Everything has been done successfully without any problems.
How did Travancore Analytics perform from a project management standpoint?
For project management, Travancore sends me regular email updates. If I ask something and they feel it’s better to explain the answer directly in a video meeting, they immediately set up a meeting on Google Meet.
The remote meetings have been working out well for us. Even if they’re in a completely different time zone, they schedule meetings that fit my time. In other words, scheduling isn’t an issue for them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their competence is the best part of working with them. Travancore has competent, thorough, and honest people. Every time we do cutting-edge projects and things that haven’t been done before, there will always be unknowns. Given that, the team is always honest in the things they can do. If they’re unsure whether something is feasible or not, they look into it further and let me know if it’s doable. Overall, they’re highly qualified people.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Know that you can confidently go forward and work with Travancore. Expect great results and interactions. The team will tell you upfront whether your idea is feasible or not, how much time it will take, and how much it will cost. They lay these things out clearly.
Moreover, their core competence lies in high-end technological projects. They may not even take on a project that’s not technically challenging. Overall, if you have a project that requires great competence in programming languages, then I’d have no hesitation recommending Travancore.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am a technical project manager at a development company that mainly takes clients from the United States. I handle the technical processes, from sales to onboarding to producing high-end, high-level wireframes.
I work with outsourcing teams, primarily in India, for software development — I communicate with our project manager and with developers directly. Our specialty is mobile app development, which we can do in 3–4 months.
I oversee the development process and make sure that the scope of each project is in line with the entire process and is made to the customer’s satisfaction.
What challenge were you trying to address with Travancore Analytics?
We were looking for a company to provide QA and IT services for us.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Travancore Analytics serves as an external set of testers to help us optimize our bug identification processes and guide us through the complexities of software development. We’re trying to do our best to optimize our QA processes so we can develop the best products we can for our customers.
Their QA specialists are well trained and have a great process that integrates well with us. We’ve integrated them with our Jira boards and our Figma frames.
We’ve used them on large projects, where clients are spending $150,000 on our services. The Travancore Analytics team has helped us organize those projects — prioritizing our bug support tickets and understanding how the support ticket progress is going.
We’re also trying to scale up their involvement and work with them more on software development. However, we’re also scaling up as a company, so we haven’t put together an entire software contract with them yet.
What is the team composition?
There are roughly ten teammates across various projects, and my main point of contact is the project manager, who serves as my right-hand man.
How did you come to work with Travancore Analytics?
We found Travancore Analytics online through a lead matching service, but it was a very organic connection.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested between $5,000–$10,000 with Travancore Analytics so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in June 2021 and the partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Travancore Analytics has really helped us with some critical, high-level projects we’ve been working on. Their QA process has been a 100% time-saving service, for our projects and client engagements.
Our clients have been even happier with the services we’re providing because they’re able to clearly see what we’re doing to keep their software working — we’re able to save time on QA internally and focus on client projects.
We like their processes and the high-quality work — so far, their work is an excellent sign that they will do well when we have them begin working on completing software projects.
How did Travancore Analytics perform from a project management standpoint?
Travancore Analytics is great at project management. Their project leader is impressive and we never have to follow up with them — they’re proactive about communication, not reactive.
They’re team players and work well with our customers — they’ve integrated well with our internal team. Specifically, the project manager provides excellent suggestions for looking forward and works well with our clients. We use Skype, Zoom, email, and Slack to communicate. We also use Confluence, which is very important for our software development cycle.
We don’t use phone calls or text messages because of the international nature of our partnership.
They have a precise process to locate and identify a bug. They follow a flow on Jira and spend four hours checking each build on every device. We can see what they’re doing in real-time — they log each bug in Jira, how long it took to find, and any additional notes related to the bug. It’s an extensive process to describe and elaborate on what they’re doing.
If they can’t resolve issues because they don’t have the software to do so, they’ll be proactive and find another teammate to resolve the issue and then communicate that to us.
They provide us with biweekly reports that highlight each aspect of the project and the number of open or closed bugs and if they’re pending or in progress. And then, at the end of every two weeks to one month, we get a full PDF report of the project progress — the breakdown is a simple slideshow that shows the overall status and where the QA stands.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We went through several partners trying to add extra QA to our projects, and Travancore Analytics is second to none — they’re the best process team that we’ve been able to sign. They’re really on the ball — they’re proactive and efficient about their work. They don’t waste time and get in and get the job done right the first time.
Their personnel are well trained with Jira and can onboard themselves with general software development processes. Their entire team is very friendly, from the CEO to testers.
The Travancore Analytics team makes me happier than our development team sometimes. I’d expect more technical issues because they’re overseas, but it doesn't happen often.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would tell potential customers to ensure they have documentation and get ready to go with Travancore Analytics. It’s essential to have the scope defined and the wireframes ready — customers need to be prepared to onboard a team and move forward.
We realized that we needed more documentation when we brought their team on, and we’ve been slowly integrating it into our processes. With documentation, Travancore Analytics can read it and get up to speed as quickly as possible to start the QA processes.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of a one-person limited liability company that provides a mentoring program as well as executive transition coaching and simulation coaching.
What challenge were you trying to address with Travancore Analytics?
I wanted to create a mentor and client-friendly portal around my coaching protocol and programs, so I turned to Travancore.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Travancore first helped me develop one of my training programs. We went on to create an invite-only portal that would serve as a coaching platform. It is chapter-driven and meant to help executives who are leaving the corporate world try to figure out the next chapter in their life. I provided all the content and programs, and their team built the portal in a way that could automatically send a welcome email to customers that I invite.
Along with that portal, they created a marketing website that I could direct potential customers to. I direct them to the website, and if they show interest in my course, I send them a link and log-in information for the portal.
Travancore eventually developed an app to go along with the portal, and it is now available on the App Store. It is also invite-only and houses the same coaching programs, exercises, questions, and algorithm as the portal.
What is the team composition?
I worked with around eight people. Manesh (Engineering Manager) was the project manager and brought in the proper resources depending on the skill we needed.
How did you come to work with Travancore Analytics?
A friend of mine recommended Travancore after I had told them about my idea. When I met the team, I saw that they understood what I wanted to achieve, so I decided to move forward with them then.
How much have you invested with them?
Overall, I’ve spent $105,000. I have also paid around $6,000 for database maintenance every year since 2018.
What is the status of this engagement?
I have been working on and off with Travancore since September 2015 to develop and enhance the different products. We have an annual contract, and they’re currently still supporting the database, making sure it’s updated and secure.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
After every coaching engagement, I have my clients fill out various forms. The feedback I’ve gathered has been very positive and many people have said that the portal is very clean, simple, and intuitive despite its complicated backend mechanisms. In addition to that, the portal has also helped me generate $1.7 million in the last four years, so it’s a really good product.
How did Travancore Analytics perform from a project management standpoint?
Travancore has shown that they truly understand what I wanted. They’ve done a lot of upfront consulting to capture business facts and establish what’s possible to do with the portal, website, and app. Once they had those, they’ve set very clear timelines which they’ve always stuck to. The team has never missed a key deadline.
We’ve mostly communicated through WhatsApp and Google Meet. In every meeting, Travancore has been good at managing our expectations and bringing up suggestions. Manesh, in particular, has been very good at keeping in contact with me. It has always felt like I’m working with my own team because we could get together whenever we needed to.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their customer service is superb. They do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It isn’t anything major, but we have had to make small tweaks to some of the writing on the portal and programs. Travancore’s English is very good, but it has required a bit of refining to become more understandable for homegrown American English speakers. They’ve picked up on that rather quickly.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My biggest advice would be to invest a good amount of time in getting Travancore to understand your business and your goals.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I was CEO of Sendero Group, which developed the first accessible GPS products for the blind.
For what projects/services did your company hire Travancore Analytics, and what were your goals?
TA handled almost all of the software development for our iPhone and eventually Android versions of the product.
How did you select Travancore Analytics and what were the deciding factors?
TA was recommended to us by another U.S. company. We kept using them because they always delivered within budget and on time.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We gave TA guidance based on our hardware GPS products and they created the smartphone versions. We worked with them weekly to design the features and to work through development and testing.
How many people from the Travancore Analytics team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with everyone from the CEO, CTO and various engineering team members over the years. I used them with Sendero and then when I took the product to another company where they helped with segments of our indoor navigation development.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Bottom line, blind people around the world are using the various versions of the products TA helped us to create. I appreciate that despite the distance and time zones that communication was good both in writing and online.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
TA worked around our development schedule to meet our timelines. Typically, we met once a week. They sent progress reports and scheduled additional meetings as needed.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I am impressed that over 10 years and several developers we worked with that TA maintained high quality for a very afordable price. I have met some of them in person and like them all as individuals as well as a company.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
There is always room for improvement. I am most impressed at how a company fixes problems when they occur. This rarely happened and they always followed through.
Travancore Analytics went above and beyond to provide competent, high-quality engineers throughout. Their exceptional validation and release processes stand out, as does their effective communication and project management. They were quick to respond and address issues despite working remotely.
