When Altius Technical Services came to TopSpot, they were wanting a mobile-friendly website design that had a clean interface that would help drive online leads while putting emphases on their rope training courses and team members.

I’m the VP of On Hold Marketing Works. We do audio branding for phone systems for companies worldwide. That includes on-hold messaging, auto attendant and interactive voice response (IVR), and professional voicemails.
What challenge were you trying to address with TopSpot Internet Marketing?
We needed TopSpot to help us with our PPC marketing efforts.
What was the scope of their involvement?
TopSpot has built PPC campaigns for us on Google and Bing. They’ve also done some other smaller SEO-related projects , but the main service we use them for on an ongoing basis is to build and refine our PPC campaigns.
We had an initial onboarding meeting with them, and they took their time to learn who we are . They did extensive research and discovery on our competition and did a presentation for us. Along the way, the research hasn’t ended. Every month, we get together with them, and we look over the previous month’s results. They bring up important questions that we need to think about in terms of advancing our site and having it work well with the PPC campaigns based on the campaign's performance. We discuss which campaigns they see are or aren’t performing, and we talk about what we can do on our site to help the ads perform better.
What is the team composition?
We have two main points of contact who we meet with once a month. We can go to them at any time, and they’ll be responsive and available. The first one is the salesperson, who has been on every single meeting with us. He didn’t ditch us after selling us, which was great. We also have an account manager, who’s on the calls every time too. I know they are not the only ones working on our campaign, but I’m not exactly sure how many people are working n in the background.
How did you come to work with TopSpot Internet Marketing?
My previous company worked with TopSpot in redoing their website and managing their PPC ad campaign, and they were very happy with them. I wasn’t directly involved, but I knew that they were a good team to work with.
When my current company was looking to manage PPC ads, I thought of them first, but I also did some research. They came up at the top of every PPC list, especially in Houston, since they’re headquartered here.
TopSpot presented all of their services to us, but we knew we wanted a company to manage our PPC ads. That’s where we started with them.
How much have you invested with them?
To this point, we’ve invested about $40,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2020, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
During the first few months, we refined the campaigns and got them going, and we saw a good return. Every month since then, we've seen growth, and the return keeps getting bigger. In one month, our close rate on the leads they were funneling us was about 30%, which was wonderful. Furthermore, last month was the biggest month we’ve had so far. We tripled our sales in terms of gross revenue. Overall, we're now doing more in a month than we used to do across several months.
How did TopSpot Internet Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?
TopSpot performs well. They take charge, make sure we schedule monthly Zoom meetings, and follow up. From a project management standpoint, the reason I hired them is that we don’t have somebody in-house taking care of this. I wanted a company who could deal with it and fill us in. TopSpot has done that.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I can’t compare TopSpot to the competition because I haven’t used anybody else’s services. What I can say is that I wouldn’t work with any other company at this point. TopSpot’s team has satisfied all of our needs. They’ve gone above and beyond our expectations.
Are there any areas they could improve?
At this point, I don't think that they could do anything different. I like what they're doing, and they're on point.
Any advice for potential customers?
At the end of the day, an organization boils down to the people you work with directly, and I think that's one of the biggest reasons we have such great success; it’s because of the relationship we've created with the main account manager. He's always had thoughtful feedback and things for us to think about. Work with Nick (Digital Marketing Strategist). He follows through. I’m sure there are other wonderful people within the organization, but that's been our experience.

I’m the marketing communications manager at AMETEK MOCON. We’re a manufacturer of gas analysis and package integrity instruments. We’re a leader in the industry, and we’ve been around for about 55 years.
What challenge were you trying to address with TopSpot Internet Marketing?
About a year ago, we had completely revamped our website, taking several global websites and putting all their content into one site. We lost some traffic since we did that. We’re trying to clean up our website, both from a paid and organic search perspective in order to increase the traffic to it.
What was the scope of their involvement?
TopSpot is working on paid search in order to drive traffic to our sites, so we come up higher on Google. They are doing SEO. We've done keyword optimization based on the most visited pages of our product pages on our website.
We’ve done research with our global team to put together the keyword list and implemented them for two of our businesses.
TopSpot is putting together a Google Dashboard that shows all of our key metrics across different aspects of traffic numbers, bounce rates, and specific keywords. We’re also seeing what’s showing up most frequently on the search results and other data.
Finally, TopSpot is helping us improve our UX and site navigation.
What is the team composition?
Sara (Enterprise Brand Manager) was our main point of contact. She has helped us with the overarching project planning, data reports, and troubleshooting. We’ve also worked with 2–5 more people. One person has been focused on paid search, another on SEO, and a couple others on navigation and UX.

We had a resource that we were using for our corporate connections, but it wasn’t giving us the services and results we needed. My boss has been using TopSpot for a number of years, and we want to give them a chance because they’ve had success in another business apart from our company.

We started the project with a modest spend, but we’ve increased our budget by 50% as we have seen great results to date.
What is the status of this engagement?
We had some introductory meetings with TopSpot in Q4 of 2020, and we reviewed some audit work they did before. We really delve in, and my colleagues and I started working with them in January 2021. The project is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
This campaign has been the number one and most successful of the marketing initiatives we’ve taken this year. We’ve seen results with the implementation of keyword research, and we’ve gone up to number one in search spots.
We’ve seen positive metrics in all directions from traffic as well. The product pages’ traffic has grown 22%. In addition, our bounce rate and cost per click have decreased.
How did TopSpot Internet Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?
TopSpot's project management is excellent. At the beginning of the project, we told them our top priority, its order, and the activities we wanted to do underneath each one. As a result, TopSpot created a Google doc that outlines the status of each task so everyone knows what is going on.
We also have weekly meetings to keep track of the progress. From a project management perspective, TopSpot has done their work, and it’s us who are lagging behind. On top of that, we know what they’re doing, and it’s very easy to relay what we’re doing to our bosses and the rest of the company.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The relationship is very strong, positive, and open. The TopSpot team has been phenomenal, we feel they’re our partners instead of our contractor. Sara in particular has been incredibly responsive and positive. I really appreciate Sara and the TopSpot team's attention to us. She’s never afraid to push back and helps us to keep our priorities and focus a point straight.
The communication has been excellent and transparent. There have been times where my boss or another person asks questions and Sara gives great feedback. The TopSpot team is very nice to work with. We’ve also got plenty of people from their team and if we need to dive into a deeper understanding of particular areas, we can do that. There are certain subject matter experts that we can work with, whether it’s paid or SEO, and they’re growing at the pace we can handle the information.

Their project management skills are exceptional. I’ve had in-person meetings but most of our conversations happen in phone conferences with multiple members of their team. We have these on a quarterly basis, and they send me monthly reports. I’m also able to initiate communication via email and receive a response very quickly. Every issue I’ve had, they’ve responded to it. Whenever I want something changed, even weekly, they’ll update it immediately.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’ve been extremely supportive throughout the process. Their team hosts conferences that my staff attends to learn more about optimizing our marketing efforts, which is great. I’m the marketing manager for Douglas Machines Corp., a manufacturing and design company that develops, sells, and manufactures washing and sanitizing systems for a variety of B2B industries.
What challenge were you trying to address with TopSpot Internet Marketing?
We hired them because we needed help with our marketing efforts. We focus specifically on SEO and PPC campaigns.
What was the scope of their involvement?
After we began working together, we sat down to identify and discuss several key marketing issues. We created a foundation to build on, which included SEO, PPC, and digital marketing campaigns.
