I am the founder of an e-commerce company selling bath linen towels and candles with markets in the US and Europe.
What challenge were you trying to address with Top Growth Marketing?
Because I don’t come from a marketing background, I was looking for an agency that could help us really scale our business significantly. We had everything in place to protect the supply chain, but we needed a strong marketing team to be able to support us. We found that in Top Growth Marketing.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Top Growth Marketing is focused on the creative aspect of our marketing. They’ve applied a really methodical approach to it and have been testing it on a large scale. That’s much greater than what I would ever achieve as an individual. They have a wealth of experience so they have that key expertise to take what we have and really make it work for us.
What is the team composition?
I typically work with four people, and Jack (Owner) gets involved in monthly meetings.
How did you come to work with Top Growth Marketing?
Before I found them, I was getting my information from watching video tutorials and reading self-help guides online. I came across a tutorial from Jack and was impressed with what they were saying because it’s not what I would usually find in other tutorials. What he said really resonated with me particularly about scaling brands.

It’s been a transformative experience working with these guys. We measure the success in terms of sales and real return on ad spend (ROAS). We worked with them initially to put together a list of what they could realistically achieve, and they’ve been doing a pretty good job of keeping track of that.
How did Top Growth Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate on a daily basis, and if they need anything from me, I’ll provide it for them. We’ll have monthly meetings where they can present their findings for their monthly testing because we need at least a month in order to get results, so monthly reviews are standard.
We also tend to catch up whenever we’re presented with challenges for the project that we need to address. So far, they’ve been really helpful in identifying things that are outside of the scope. It’s a pretty fluid and relaxed environment from a project management standpoint.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What impresses me the most is they’re really flexible, proactive, and great at communicating. I never really feel like I’m in the dark about what’s going on with regards to the actions or inputs that they’re taking. I always get that constant reassurance even though they’re from another country working in a different timezone.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I think it would be great if they could expand their team and include a more holistic approach to marketing. It’s difficult to say because I think they’re already very good at what they do. I just think it would be great to have a representative for other aspects of marketing like email, or social media channels like Pinterest. This can be something they might take on in the future.

I’m the former director of marketing for a bottled water company. We provide a healthy, sustainable, and ethical bottled water product. I was in charge of all our direct consumer sales through e-commerce.
What challenge were you trying to address with Top Growth Marketing?
I built out our e-commerce presence. I needed help with our online marketing, and that’s where Top Growth Marketing comes into play.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They started off with handling our Facebook marketing, and then they took over our Google Ads account as well. They also did our Instagram advertising. Their team helped us run some lead generation campaigns focused on social media giveaways; those were marketed through Facebook and Instagram.

I started off working solely with Jack (Founder), then I worked with a project manager. We worked with Jen (Creative Director) and another project manager as well.
How did you come to work with Top Growth Marketing?
I heard about Top Growth Marketing through a friend; it was a referral. I chose them because Jack is an absolute genius, and I was so impressed with his knowledge. They were affordable and within our budget. He took a hands-on approach by sitting down with me one-on-one, showing me how to set up our pixels, and cleaning up our ad account. I felt like he was available to hold my hand and explain what they were doing and teach me. It was an easy choice because the quality of work and what they charge is just great value.
What is the status of this engagement?
The engagement was from January 2017–February 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We were focused on cost per acquisition (CPA). When we brought on Top Growth Marketing, they decreased our CPA by roughly 70% within the first four months of working with them. That allowed us to scale our spend significantly.
What’s more, we scaled our spend over the three-year engagement by 190%. Top Growth Marketing was able to do that while keeping the account stable and hitting our target CPA. That was really tricky, and they did a fantastic job of that.
They increased our return on advertising spend (ROAS) by 90% by the end of our engagement. It was awesome. Our giveaway campaigns were super successful and we decreased our cost per lead by 97%.
How did Top Growth Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?
They consistently met deadlines. I was usually at fault if a deadline wasn’t met. Their team communicated really well and were responsive. They were working around the clock and on weekends; they were very available.
We corresponded mostly through emails and had monthly check-in calls. Top Growth Marketing would do screen recordings of the media buyer walking through the Facebook account and would visually explain what things were and why.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their media buying was top-notch. They were always finding new audiences and were very creative with that. What’s more, I was impressed with their ability to be very flexible. Their team always had innovative ideas and solutions in terms of copy and images.
Are there any areas they could improve?
As they grow, I’d recommend they incorporate other channels in their services. For example, having an email team that could take over a brand’s email. All these platforms and channels are so in sync with each other, so having one team to do it all would be very beneficial and would improve cohesion.
