72% Increase in Revenue
Hewitt Technologies Inc. sells Toyota/Lexus secondary air injection system bypass kits to consumers through their online store. These kits offer a cost-effective solution for the failure-prone secondary air injection Systems found on certain Toyota truck and SUVs. The bypass kits can prevent many of the trouble codes caused by a mechanical failure of the secondary air pump or a secondary air valve saving their customers as much as a $2000-$4000 on repair bills.
When we started with the client in 2017 they were running Google shopping and paid search ads in-house and had no SEO (Search Engine Optimization) program in place. The paid and organic search channels were not growing and they needed to free up time to work on other aspects of the business.
We revamped their shopping and search campaigns and implemented a comprehensive SEO program. As a result they saw 204% more conversions, 72% more revenue, and a 9.5% decrease in cost/conversion.
Besides a substantial increase in sales and profitability, the client has more time to work on business operations and the overall strategic direction of the company.
From the client - When I was first referred to Ten Thousand Foot View for help, I was the one running my ad campaigns and they were a mess. They worked but were not very efficient and I didn’t have time to keep up with them. Since we have been working with them we have expanded our advertising campaigns and they have become much more efficient. Not having to manage our ad campaigns has allowed me to focus more on other areas that are also important to growing our business.

366% Increase in Conversions
High Efficiency Heating & Cooling Inc. is a 12-year old HVAC business with multiple locations in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The company is the #1 Carrier Dealer in Toronto and maintains 9.9 Homestars, A+ Better Business Bureau, and 4.9 star Google review ratings. This and their over 10,000+ happy customers is a testament to their top-notch customer service.
When we started with the client in 2017 they were working with another agency. While the client was getting some leads from Google Ads, the cost/conversion was excessive and they were unable to scale up the lead volume.
We rebuilt their paid search campaigns cutting wasted ad spend, and improving creatives, keyword strategy, and targeting. Once the cost/conversion numbers were under control we were able to identify winning tactics and scale the campaigns for greater conversion volume.
Overall we managed to cut the cost/conversion by 62%, increase conversion rates by 673%, and generate 366% more conversions.
In addition to getting paid search on track, we’ve implemented profitable remarketing campaigns and grown the client’s organic search lead volume with Search Engine Optimization.
As a result the client gets a steady and predicable volume of high-quality leads and is able to further grow their business.
From the client - Ten Thousand Foot View is doing a great job with our campaigns. They are quick to respond to our urgent requests, even during weekends.

1,126% Increase in Conversion Volume
Quickcash4teststrips.com redistributes consumers’ unused diabetic test strips to diabetics in their local area. They sell excess test strips outside of their local area at a price that’s 75-80% lower than retail.
When we started with the client in 2013 they were generating all of their business through regional newspaper ads. Orders generated from these ads were on the decline. The client started testing Google Ads as an alternative.
The client first engaged with another agency that ran a number of targeted display ads (GDN) and generated no new orders.
We implemented paid search campaigns with Google Ads & Microsoft Ads, Remarketing via Facebook Ads, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The client saw an increase of 1,126% in conversion volume, a cost reduction of 79% per conversion, and increase in ROI of 267%.
The client’s business has been transformed into a highly profitable enterprise through thoughtful, strategic online efforts. All marketing activities are now closely tracked & optimized to achieve the ideal mix of order volume and profit margin. The multi-channel approach ensures a stable flow of orders despite fluctuations of individual ad platforms.
Online marketing has been so successful the client has ceased all other methods of advertising.
From the client - At the time I turned it over to them, the campaign had been both expensive and unproductive for months… within a short time my cost was way down and I was getting results for the first time. Now I am getting a steady stream of conversions at an economical price per conversion.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I work for Diesel Laptops. We provide diagnostic equipment and tools for the agriculture, construction, and commercial trucking industries.
What challenge were you trying to address with Ten Thousand Foot View?
We hired Ten Thousand Foot View to manage our Google Ads and Facebook Ads efforts.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Ten Thousand Foot View manages all of our Google Ads and Facebook Ads initiatives. We share our budget and target markets with Ed (Managing Director) and then he builds campaigns for us. He creates landing pages with content that we give to him. The landing pages collect data from our customers such as their contact information, which become leads for us.
What is the team composition?
We only work with Ed from Ten Thousand Foot View.
How did you come to work with Ten Thousand Foot View?
When I started at Diesel Laptops, the company already had a partnership with them. Our CEO developed a relationship with Ed when he first started the company.
How much have you invested with them?
We pay them a 10% commission on our ad spend. In the past, we’ve paid them anywhere between $3,500–$12,000 a month.
What is the status of this engagement?
We probably started working with them around January 2016, and we’re still working with them.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Ed stays well under our target CPL (cost per lead). For another success metric, we also look at sales from those leads. Additionally, I calculate our ROAS (return on ad spend) from the leads that Ed secures. We’re currently at a ROAS of $26, which is great.
How did Ten Thousand Foot View perform from a project management standpoint?
We mostly communicate via email but Ed’s also happy to jump on a phone call at any time. He quickly responds to us. Ed also always provides exactly what we need from him and gives us clear expectations for what he’ll provide.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed by Ten Thousand Foot View’s ability to manage multiple campaigns at the same time. Ed quickly pivots when we pivot, so he’s flexible. He also stays professional throughout the process. Ten Thousand Foot View's always looking at our campaigns and giving us strategies to lower our costs and increase efficiency.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t think so.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Communication is key, so always keep the channels open. Also, set your expectations up front and make sure they do the same.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ten Thousand Foot View?
We wanted to improve our paid advertising campaigns and needed another team to manage them.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Ten Thousand Foot View understood our business when they took over our accounts. As a result, they jumped right into them and made a lot of changes.
They manage our PPC campaigns via Google and Bing on a monthly basis. Their team keeps an eye on our accounts, which we weren’t able to do internally. Their team tweaks the accounts every day according to different ads’ performances.
What is the team composition?
I only communicate with Ed (Founder) who manages a team that supports our account in the background. However, he also recommended people outside his firm to tackle more technical projects.
How did you come to work with Ten Thousand Foot View?
Another real estate investment company recommended Ten Thousand Foot View. We wanted a company with real expertise that could effectively answer our questions. I could tell from our first meeting that Ed was knowledgeable. He gave us reasonable prices, and then we worked out a contract.

Ten Thousand Foot View saves us a lot of time by managing our PPC campaigns. They have more expertise than us and constantly enhance our processes.
To measure our success, we look at the CPA and the number of leads received. They work within our CPA parameters and secure many more leads on a monthly basis. We’re constantly looking into the CPA for different campaigns.
How did Ten Thousand Foot View perform from a project management standpoint?
Their ability to meet deadlines and communication are great. They're responsive and give us candid advice. When they disagree, the Ten Thousand Foot View team respectfully explain their positions. Their team gives thoughtful reasons behind their recommendations.

We needed someone who could provide marketing services and knew how to work with nonprofit organizations specifically. We were also in a fiscal crisis so we needed to bring our charity back into a positive place.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We went through our methodologies and identified what we were looking to change. They laid out some low-risk experiments where we could test out what changes would be successful. Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Marketing Director for Spark Creative Marketing.
For what projects/services did your company hire Ten Thousand Foot View, and what were your goals?
We hired Ten Thousand Foot View to manage the Google Ads campaigns for Maui Pacific Tours with the goal of driving leads and online sales.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I have worked with this team on other occassions. Based on that experience and their fit for this project we selected them for this account after doing a brief vetting of a few other firms.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and campaigns.
The scope of work involved the full build out of our Google Ad campaign and subsequent optimization of it. First they gathered detailed about our business, goals, and target customers. They built out the campaigns, presented, they provide mothly reporting and we have been optimizing together since.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We collaborated with 2 team members. Craig was our Ad Manager and Ed was out Account Manager.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Setup was extremely quick. We were in a rush to get live, and they made it happen. Since then they have continuously worked with us to optimize ad spend with the primary goal of driving as many leads possible with the lowest possible cost per conversion. As we collected more data and increased our spend, we have been able to add new campaign types including remarketing and display.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Their communication is great. Very responsive. They don't create unnecessary hurdles. They've outlined key requirements but still have flexibility and understanding that things will evolve. They use tools for reporting the monthly performance, which while not flashy, give us the data we need to see. Communication happened by email and Google Meet.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The most unique thing about Ten Thousand Foot View is the owner Ed. He is extremely knowledgable, understands business strategy, processes, marketing, analytics, trends, tools, etc. He knows what he does not know, and will let you know when you need to bring in a 3rd party for a specific service area. In my extensive interactions with him he was extremely forthright and trustworthy.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
For our needs of small-scale to mid-scale campaigns, their offerings and execution are a great fit.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the CEO of an appliance hire and consumer lease business in Perth Australia. We have 10 employees and a turnover of about $2.5m
For what projects/services did your company hire Ten Thousand Foot View?
I had run my own AdWords campaign for some years and had tried to pass this task on to an agency on several occasions. Each time the results were worse than doing it in house.
Then Ed from Ten Thousand Foot View came along. His support has been fantastic. He has improved on my results. Ed keeps in contact and is responsive to our needs. And to make a good result even better, he is not as expensive as others we have tried.
What were your goals for this project?
To improve conversion and contain the cost of our AdWords.
How did you select Ten Thousand Foot View?
Trial and error, until a business acquaintance recommended Ed in 2016.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
Ed runs our AdWords campaigns largely unhindered by us, but with regular reporting and consultation.
What was the team composition?
Ed as the principal has handled most of the work on this account personally.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Ed took over a well established and fine-tuned account that others had failed to improve. He has maintained a steady improvement in clicks and conversion whilst reducing the overall cost from 2016 to 2020.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We have always had regular and effective communication and reporting.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Ed has succeeded where no one else could.
Are there any areas for improvement?
The only room for improvement is that we should be more engaged. I sometimes think we let Ed down by relying on him too much. He has been so consistently reliable that we have become complacent.
