Du Motion
This somewhat bold idea was born in 2015, as the vision aiming at setting Dubrovnik in motion. Originally, the event had a motto "More than a race" and a very simple goal - to promote sports and healthy lifestyle, all within the spectacular setting of ancient Dubrovnik, a UNESCO’s World Heritage Site.
Thanks to the dedication, enthusiasm and joined efforts of Dubrovnik Sports Federation, The City of Dubrovnik and The Dubrovnik Tourist Board, Dubrovnik's Half Marathon really became "more than a race". Over a very short period, it has transformed into the full-fledged international multi-day sports and recreational event with as much as four races - Dubrovnik Half Marathon, 5K Charity Race, Run The Wall and Kids Day. The event includes the accompanying events such as Du Motion Expo - gathering place for runners and exhibitors - and Du Motion Chat - a series of talks by prominent lecturers from the world of running.

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner and CEO of a boutique winery.
What challenge were you trying to address with Tempus Media?
We were looking to create our website and use them for digital marketing.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Tempus Media has built our website from the ground up. They’re in charge of everything, including the organization, the elements we want there, and the animation of those elements. Additionally, they work on Google and Facebook advertising and keyword research. They’ve created most of the keywords.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with four people.; everybody’s in charge of something different.
How did you come to work with Tempus Media?
I searched online. They had nice projects, so I contacted them. We had a meeting, and they liked our work, so we liked their good energy.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $15,000 on website development. On the other hand, we pay $2,000 every year for SEO and marketing, depending on what we want.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started with marketing a few years ago. We did the website in January 2021, and they’re still maintaining it.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It wasn’t easy to make the website, but it turned out excellent. We’re pretty satisfied with their job. Every month, they give us the details on the site and ad campaigns. People comment on Facebook that the site is pretty unique and ask who built it. Overall, we’ve noticed a difference in our bookings thanks to the ad campaigns.
How did Tempus Media perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re really serious. We haven’t had problems with project management; they’ve done everything within the deadline.
We communicate through email and calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They make a big effort to do different things than their competitors — that’s why they stand out. Not everybody would listen to our crazy ideas, and they’re great with the technical details. They’re really knowledgeable about their work. Also, they have a great energy all the time.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t think of anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have a clear idea of what you want and present it to them. They’ll do it for sure.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Dubrovnik Sports Association is the organizer of Du Motion project. Du Motion is a running project consisting of several different races throughout the year.
For what projects/services did your company hire Tempus Media, and what were your goals?
We hired Tempus Media to create our own registration/shop system. Goal is to have a database of all previous runners (more than 11,000 people), as well as the online registration system which would feed into the base.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We found them through a referral, and considered them with other offers. It was a high priority project and they were able to commit to start working on it right away and to dedicate their time to it.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
They are working on integrating our existing database into newly created platform, as well as connecting it with the registration system.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
There are several people working on this project including project manager, project designer, and developers.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We were able to launch the project quite soon. It is an ongoing project, so they work offline and update the online program periodically, which is excellent, because it allows us to use the new platform right away. And as new features are developed, they upgrade the online platform.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
It was great. They are very friendly, professional and fast to respond. They are available via e-mail, phone, chat...
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They are very easy to work with. What impresses us the most is that they understand how we run things and what we need from the platform and are able to mold it to our needs and liking.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
None.

Please describe your company and your position there.
We are a recruitment agency specialized in providing skilled offshore, wind support vessels and merchant navy crew to our clients. My position in the Azara crew agency is General Manager. I am in charge of overseeing all business day-to-day activities and all CRM.
For what projects/services did your company hire Tempus Media, and what were your goals?
Our website was created 12 years ago. As we did not have internal resources to cover the needed work, we contacted various companies and in the end, chose Tempus Media. They have proposed an "update" from the old Joomla platform to Worpress.
Our main goal as a recruitment agency was to have a clean and simple website where potential candidates can apply for open vacancies, where clients can see our profile and where can our employees manage all with ease.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We have contacted various (at least three) companies and asked for a cost estimate along with a short project plan. We chose Tempus media after checking their work, references and based on first impression. Also, we believed it is good value for money.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
At the initial meeting, a representative from Tempus media inputted all information into the project management tool - Asana and we defined deadlines. After one more review, the work has started and we received a wide frame proposition for check and comments via the online platform Figma.
All comments were in real-time with no long delays in feedback and we had a good experience as our input was taken into consideration but also we received explanations and "tips" for best practices on how the site should work.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
A project manager was our first point of contact. We have communicated with the programmer while defining the functionality of the wide contact form. The designer was with us while choosing the general "theme" of the site and while commenting wireframe.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
After launching our site we have also started a social network campaign to announce a new site towards our potential candidates. We have received positive feedback from that part of users and also had a spike in applications and views of the site (measured via Google Analytics).
Also, our clients gained a much broader picture of our services, references, and capabilities. This was not only reflected after launching our side but also now one year after the project finished - we have a constant growth of users and views.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We used Asana as the main project management tool. All tasks were on time but if any small deviation occurred, it was explained in detail and the timeline was corrected with no delays in the global timeline. Also, we have used communication applications for short feedback and email as the main point of exchanging website materials.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their professionalism and approach were excellent hence we plan to cooperate with them on future projects. Our agency employees did not use wp before but we got a very good walkthrough of how to update vacancies, write blog posts or manage the site in general.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
After completing this project, we don't believe there is much room for improvement. The only thing we could suggest is that Tempus media can provide more suggestions from their side rather than rely on customers (but maybe that was only our case).

Web Design & Dev for Gastronomy & Farming Company
"I'm impressed by their creativity and responsiveness."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner and manager of a company working in the gastronomy and farming industries. We’d been working in gastronomy with a restaurant and started a new business. We bought land to grow local plants for cosmetics and to make our own produce. We’re also making alcoholic drinks and trying to implement our products in the restaurant business.
What challenge were you trying to address with Tempus Media?
A year and a half ago, we put our products on the market. Our goal was to be a modern producer, and we wanted our users to know that we’re a young company with new ideas since the industry in our country is a bit old-fashioned. We needed help building a website that could express those ideas.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Tempus Media developed the website for our farming business. After our initial contact, they told us we needed product photography and descriptions to work with. We got the materials ready, and then they started working on the site from scratch.
I asked for the website to be modern and to include information about our natural products. The Tempus Media team implemented our ideas with color, photography, and other design elements. Tempus Media currently handles changes and updates to our website, including new products. For example, we’re trying to implement English on the site.
What is the team composition?
I’m in contact with three people from Tempus Media, including Kristijan (CTO & Lead Developer).
How did you come to work with Tempus Media?
I’d been working with another provider on the website and was disappointed with where the project was going. Then, the person who created our brand identity told us about Tempus Media, so I contacted Kristijan. When we talked to Tempus Media, it was apparent we thought about the site the same way; they recognized what I wanted, which was a sign that we should go with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We pay them $300–$400 monthly. In total, we’ve spent around $4,800 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in February of 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’m very satisfied with Tempus Media’s work. Everybody who’s seen the website likes it, and when they only see pictures, they want to visit it. Although we’re a young company and need time to grow, our visibility in Croatia and nearby European countries is good, partly due to the site and partly to our product’s quality.
Overall, the team does a good job; they’re there when I need them and work quickly. Moreover, I really like my website and enjoy visiting it, so I’ll stay with Tempus Media.
How did Tempus Media perform from a project management standpoint?
Tempus Media delivered the completed website on time. In terms of communication, we use email and talk on the phone. I can always reach them when I need them; Kristijan is always there when I call. If he’s not in a position to answer, he gets me in touch with anybody in the Tempus Media team to make things work.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed by their creativity and responsiveness. I can reach them whenever I need them, and I get an answer within 24 hours.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s anything they need to improve; I’m satisfied with everything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Go for it! Call Kristijan, and Tempus Media will do a good job on your website.
