Craftmade
Craftmade is one of the largest suppliers of ceiling fans, interior, exterior and commodity lighting, vents, chimes, LED products, and accessories in the U.S. In 2016, we migrated their site from a proprietary platform to a Magento e-commerce platform. Our customized theme displays Craftmade’s extensive catalog of products that are available exclusively through select dealers. Additional modifications include a searchable Dealer Locator feature that’s super easy to use, accurate product dimension diagrams, and an upgraded internal search engine. We continue to provide product uploads and inventory services, Magento point-release updates, and other tweaks and maintenance as required. Future plans include linking the online products to Craftmade’s ERP via Magento’s robust REST API in order to provide real-time updates to product information.

Greystone Alloys
Greystone's WordPress website was compromised (hacked). In searching for a local web development team, they found us on Google. Wink! We removed malware and updated software on the existing site so that there was no downtime while we worked on upgrading the site. We rebuilt the highly customized site using the WordPress Genesis Framework, crafted each page with best practices for on-site SEO, and continue to re-work and update their content and images for a more productive site through our WordPress Support Services. The site now performs exceptionally well on Desktop and Mobile and Google, organic traffic is up 346%, bringing more customers to the site than ever before, and reducing Google Adwords spend by 54%.

Mallin Casual Furniture
We migrated Mallin from WordPress to Magento Commerce. Our friends at The Brand Hatchery produced the design for the theme. We fitted this B2B seller's catalog-only site with customary e-commerce features: layered navigation, enhanced search, and filtered selections. We incorporated “Where to Buy” (a searchable map) and custom Dealer and Hospitality Rep Finders. We continue to provide maintenance, security updates, and support.

Stori Modern is a direct to consumer company that sells luxury outdoor furniture online. We implemented The Brand Hatchery's custom theme to the pixel. We created the animation for the logo. We handled configurations and integration on the Magento 1.9.x platform and later migrated the site to Magento 2.3.x. We continue to provide support, maintenance, upgrades, updates, and product uploads.

Discovery Zone Coaching
David Bell is a revered coach in Houston who helps sales professionals achieve their potential in sales and leadership. He was looking to expand his work to assist people outside of financial services to help as many people as possible elevate their skills and careers.
David had heard we've helped several clients share their knowledge in other communities while building wildly successful online businesses. To date, we have collaborated with David to create a brand and simple website to establish his presence on the internet.
We look forward to guiding Discovery Zone Coaching along its path to excellence in serving its clients and community in the future. If you're looking to build a new website and online business/community, reach out. We look at startups as an opportunity to share our knowledge and not only help people grow and trhive!

Money for the Rest of Us
David Stein shares his knowledge with the Money of the Rest of Us community that he built to help others, just like himself, manage their own retirement funds. We assist David in creating this positive online learning environment. Our first project was to update the look of the homepage and change the typography site-wide. The site was on a proprietary WordPress-based platform that made changes challenging and feature upgrades impossible. In 2020, we migrated the site to a stand-alone WordPress instance utilizing MemberPress to handle content delivery for members. The site resides on WPEngine’s managed hosting platform. The migration alone caused a major jump in page load speeds. It's also opened the door to the integration of new features and a bright future for the community.

We included ticket sales and integrated with GoToWebinar to allow anyone (members and non-members alike) to purchase access to Fritz’s live webinars and in-person events. We customized StudioPress’ Altitude Theme to achieve the professional and inviting brand of the Academy.
As an added bonus, we created the Academy’s logo and seal, as well as a couple of t-shirt designs along the way.

Web Optimization & SEO for Metal Recycling Firm
"They are extremely friendly and very reliable, and I couldn’t be any happier with their service."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the VP of administration of a metal recycling company called Greystone Alloys.
What challenge were you trying to address with TEMPORA?
We were trying to update the security and the design of our website, which was a little bit outdated. We really wanted to optimize our site, make it better, change the look and feel, and improve the backend so that it would be more searchable.
What was the scope of their involvement?
TEMPORA secured our website and brought our older website design to the newer format. This allowed our plugins to work correctly because we had some issues with security over the last few months. They then optimized it so that it would work well with the WordPress plugins and the server that it was on — we were having issues with speed, optimization, and things like that.
They sped up the website for us and did some certificates as well, but I am not sure exactly which ones.
We worked with them on SEO, but we have another company that does AdWords for us. In order to avoid any conflicting issues, we had both teams work together directly and gave them an idea of what direction we wanted. That way, we could optimize the organic search for SEO and focus on other things for AdWords once all of that was configured correctly.
We also agreed to do some more work on the website. We buy from all over the world, and we were working on our translator plugin for Spanish, Japanese, and some other languages, and strategizing on making sure that our target audiences were actually able to read the translations.
What is the team composition?
We worked with three people from their team — Tanyia (Happiness Manager), Carol (Pixel Organizer), and Larry (Principal Consultant).
How did you come to work with TEMPORA?
I went on Google and searched for local companies. We wanted to work with a local company in case we wanted to meet them face to face. I reached out to a few companies and eventually got some bids and information from four companies in total. I spoke to TEMPORA and decided that they were the best fit because of their willingness to work with us and what we had going on.
How much have you invested in them?
We have spent between $20,000—$25,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in October 2021, and our engagement is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They have done a good job of resolving and taking care of our issues, as well as moving improving the actual functionalities and design of our website. Our site is pretty fast now — it loads in just a second — and looks a lot better. Our SEO metrics are pretty good compared to what they were a year ago. Our security seems to be up to par, and we don’t have any pending plugins or certificates.
They also gave a lot of good ideas on how to make our site a little bit more optimized for everything, such as putting an About Us section or a blog. Overall, they have done pretty much everything we’ve asked them to.
How did TEMPORA perform from a project management standpoint?
In terms of meeting deadlines, they’ve exceeded our expectations. They finish tasks ahead of schedule and send us a summary of what is going on every month. We have actual meetings in person, during which they show us all of the metrics from Google Analytics along with other updates. They usually send us reports as well as charts via email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They are extremely friendly and very reliable, and I couldn’t be any happier with their service. Moreover, they’ve given a lot of great suggestions and have also done a pretty good job of explaining and simplifying things for us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No — everything has been pretty good so far. We actually have another company, and we’ve decided to have them do its website, too.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to just ask questions and don’t be afraid to try TEMPORA out; they’ve been very responsive from the get-go. As I mentioned earlier, we reached out to several companies, and not everyone got back to us as fast their team did.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I work as a performance coach focused on sales and leadership. My company does individual and group coaching, as well, as workshops and public speaking. My primary focus is on the art of discovery in sales, leadership, and networking.
For what projects/services did your company hire TEMPORA, and what were your goals?
TEMPORA designed, developed and delivered a website that represents my coaching practice with Discovery Zone Coaching. They also assisted me with branding, design and logo.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I visited with Tempora to share with them my vision for my initial website and how I wanted introduce Discovery Zone Coaching. I reviewed some examples of the work they have provided to others and decided to select them for the work.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We met to define the scope of work to be done. They started with creating a brand and logo that would represent the company. I worked with an editor to develop the content for the site. I reviewed alternative ideas for design and content before it was launch. We agreed upon cost, steps and timeline for delivery of the final website. Wordpress was used to develop the site since it would allow for long-term growth leveraging other tools and resources such as online purchases, scheduling, blogging, etc.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The two principals of the company worked with me the most. An editor / office manager navigated the billing, project updates and edits with content, etc.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Tempora provided what I was looking for in a website. They made the process simple. They delivered as promise on what I needed based on my budget, etc. I appreciate the personalized attention to detail and to assisting me in getting the business website and branding started.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We met in-person and via Zoom to discuss project. They were flexible and adapted to my availability. I received updates along the way and was notified once everything was ready to launch. We also used email to communicate along the way with a few phone calls.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I appreciate their creativeness, experience and listening to my needs to deliver a satisfactory result. Although they have capabilities much beyond what I needed, they made me to feel like my website and business success was important to them.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Overall, I am satisfied with the results and the ongoing communication that was provided.

Website Dev for Financial Education Platform
“They are really hard workers and they're very dedicated to finding solutions that work best for us.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a content marketing specialist contracted by Money For the Rest of Us. We're a financial education platform where we offer a free weekly podcast and guides about investing. Not only that, we also have a membership site for people who manage their own investments that has forms, model portfolios, and lessons on investing.
What challenge were you trying to address with Tempora Resources Ltd?
We've worked with Tempora for years. They've built our website, and they do all of our custom web development. Any time we need something done that we can't do ourselves, whether it be some custom CSS, help with RSS feed, or if we need some more technical SEO and PHP, we can count on them.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Our website was based on a platform called Rainmaker — at that time there wasn't a great option for membership sites. Tempora helped us work within the limitations of that service. They did a lot of web customizations and changes that we needed.
Last year, we had a big project where they moved us off of that platform onto our own dedicated site on WordPress, because WordPress’s features had improved, so they did that whole transition which took quite a long time.
What is the team composition?
I work with two partners from Tempora.
How did you come to work with Tempora Resources Ltd?
When I came into my position the company was already working with Tempora. My understanding is that the owner of our business met them at a conference, and they started from there.
What is the status of this engagement?
My company has worked with Tempora since late 2018, but I started working with them in March 2020, and it’s still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I definitely think they have great quality work. Whenever we have technical changes that need to be fixed, I've gone to them and everything has been successful. They were to be able to move our website off Rainmaker onto WordPress without the site breaking.
Customers didn't experience any adverse effects from what was a pretty large shift on the backend, and they did that pretty well. We continue to have happy customers and members of the site, that's definitely thanks to them and their ability to implement the changes we need.
How did Tempora Resources Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?
Up until a few months ago, we would just send an email, but they've recently implemented a ticketing system. Tempora’s team gets through it, and they usually answer back in the week.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Tempora’s teams are really there to help. The two things that distinguish them are that they are really hard workers and they're very dedicated to finding solutions that work best for us, and that that's really wonderful.
They don't try to take control or hide what they're doing. They're very transparent at what they do, and they help us learn about our website so that we can still handle things ourselves.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don't think so.
Any advice for potential customers?
Explain what you want the most, be detailed about what you want, and be open to Tempora’s opinion is the first step you should take. They're very knowledgeable. They’re willing to help find the best solution, so listening to them and exploring options is a really wonderful part of the experience.

WordPress Web Dev for Virtual Academy

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the founder and owner of Virtual Viticulture Academy. Virtual Viticulture Academy provides a single, interactive platform to access practical, timely, expert viticulture information that is easy to understand and apply for grape growers of all experience levels and is a membership based website.
For what projects/services did your company hire Tempora Resources Ltd?
My company hired Tempora Resouces to develop a customized membership website using a Word Press platform. This site has many moving parts, including member login, multiple levels of user access, content library, and signup pages for live and virtual events.
Tempora manages all changes and updates to this website on an annual basis and serves as the primary source for website development and IT support for my business.
What were your goals for this project?
We seek to develop and maintain a user friendly educational resource for grape growers in the US and internationally. Part of the business model is to offer virtual and live events and the website serves as a one-stop resource for members and the public to enroll and discover our programs and services.
The users have been very impressed with the intuitiveness of this website and we want to keep it that way.
How did you select Tempora Resources Ltd?
Tempora is located in Houston, where my business is based. I met with their team and they understood my project and were able to immediately start making helpful suggestions. After a few rounds of back and forth on the concept and design ideas from their team, I was sold on working with them. I was even able to get help with my business logo.
Describe the project in detail.
After our initial phone call I met with Carol and Larry to go over all of the aspects of my membership website concept. I really did not know what was needed to make all of the pieces connect and work together, and luckily it was not necessary to know this prior to working with them.
They walked me through the process and informed me of several options for plugins and software that would fit my needs. It was nice to see my ideas become a roadmap that was clearly laid out before me. I provided the content, photos to carry out my concept and the team at Tempora would send back new versions until the project took the form I was hoping for.
n the end, the website turned out much better than I had originally invented in my draft concept. I like that the team took some ownership of the project and their experience clearly elevated the function and design beyond what I imagined.
What was the team composition?
The team consisted of owners Carol and Larry Brouwer, and some support staff. Carol has a unique eye for design and broad knowlege of website design and software options. She was the one that helped me to connect the dots from when a user lands on the site, and eventually to the cart for purchase. Larry is a gifted software engineer who helped all of the moving parts communicate so I could move past some roadblocks and save some costs in the end.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
When my website launched, we had an email list of 500 individuals to market it to. In the end we converted enough list members to members of our online business to more than pay for the cost to build the website.
The team at Tempora met our deadline for launch and even tested all of the payment methods to be sure we would not lose sales or disappoint any of the users.
We learned a lot about how members actually use our website (because we could only presume that prior to launch), and the Team at Tempora was able to help us with updates to improve conversion and user experience overall. We now take most of the suggestions they offer in terms of updates and have been steered in the right direction.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Team workflow was timely and efficient. We felt it was important to also be efficient on our end to get the materials to Tempora in a timely manner so they could help us meet our deadlines. Good communication overall.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The most impressive part about working with Tempora Resources was the level of professionalism and expertise they brought to the table. I did not need to become an expert in website design; I could trust them to guide me to the most effective designs and software to meet my needs. This was a great relief, as it allowed me to focus on what I do best and freed much of my time to focus on my business and know that everything was being taken care of in the background.
Are there any areas for improvement?
No.
