A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of Shepherd’s Square, an online, faith-based company that offers services for pastors and their churches. We have 245,000 different churches in our geo-coded database.
What challenge were you trying to address with Tekdi Technologies
I wanted to add functionality to my site that would allow users to connect to online virtual meetings via Jitsi, in addition to the existing Adobe Connect option.
What was the scope of their involvement?
First, my team wrote a roadmap of what we were looking for. Then, we had a virtual meeting with Tekdi Technologies to discuss our goals of the project, the deliverables, and the pricing of the project. 6–8 weeks later, they showcased the final product to us.
Tekdi Technologies actually over-delivered on the project. We only asked them for a Jitsi server integration with the event software, but their final package included a Jitsi server, Jisti as a Service server, and Zoom functionality, all for the same price.
What is the team composition?
There were 2–3 programmers working on our project, as well as a project manager who kept me updated on their progress.
How did you come to work with Tekdi Technologies?
Tekdi Technologies had a fantastic reputation in the Joomla development community, and we were using Joomla as our CMS. We were also already using some of their commercial software, including their event platform, crowdfunding software, and multi-vendor store software. So, when we decided to launch this project, I reached out directly to Parth (Co-Founder) and asked if he wanted to work together.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with Tekdi Technologies on this project from December 2020–April 2021. However, we have worked with them on other projects for 4–5 years.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The Tekdi Technologies team is really smart, and they have good coders — there were absolutely no bugs in the product they delivered.
The deliverables were pretty straightforward because Tekdi Technologies was adding an open-source integration to their existing platform — it didn’t need to be a custom job from the ground up.
How did Tekdi Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
They were perfect — I couldn’t have asked for a better team. The team was very responsive and would answer any challenges or questions that I had right away. Their project manager would update me on the team’s progress at least once a week via email, letting me know what they were going through, and share how the solution was developing.
We primarily communicated via email, and they also used Skype to demonstrate the deliverables and the product. Finally, the last meeting was held on our new, upgraded platform, so we could see the new Jitsi capabilities.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What makes Tekdi Technologies different is that they have a lot of experience and offerings within Joomla. They have 5–6 software components ready to go in Joomla, and these components are very well-rounded — they have software for donation, ticketing, event hosting, online retail, invitations, and more. They’re a well-rounded company, they’ve been around for a long time, and their code is very clean.
Before they actually started coding the project, they analyzed the project and pointed out some gaps in my understanding, thanks to their expertise. They made me aware of issues that I didn’t see ahead of time.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I was 100% satisfied with their service. From start to finish, it was a really pleasant experience, and I wouldn’t change anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Before hiring any company to do work for you, it’s important to understand your goals and be able to communicate them to the vendor. Communication is normally the point where work breaks down when working with overseas companies.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I was the UX Manager at UIDAI and was responsible for daily operation and maintenance of the UIDAI website. I was also responsible for the UX of resident facing web services under the Aadhaar platform.
For what projects/services did your company hire Tekdi Technologies Pvt. Ltd., and what were your goals?
UIDAI multilingual website was developed a few years back and it was not integrated with the Aadhaar web service y. We needed to bring in the Aadhaar related information and the web services under a unifying and responsive UX framework. We didn’t not have required development support. Hence Tekdi Technologies Pvt. Ltd was approached to revamp the existing website and integrate about 35 web services hosted in 4 portals with the UIDAI website.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
A selection committee consisting competent experts and ADG level Govt officers was set up at UIDAI HQs to select the vendor. The selection criteria’s were based on through assessments of the proposed solution, resources and cost.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had the Tekdi resources assigned to the project formally onboarded at the UIDAI headquarter. In kick off meeting we shared the existing website dump and necessary information. The Tekdi UX design team submitted the UX strategy and mockups and with UIDAI authority’s approval the Development team from Tekdi began the website development. In addition the design team also submitted UX for about 35 web services.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The Tekdi team consists of Solution architect, Design lead, UX Designer, one project manager, 2 Zoomla experts, two web developer, one tester.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
After launching the website the website traffic increased exponentially as the Aadhaar web services became available in a single window and the UX experience for the Aadhaar service seekers increased manifold.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We had daily stand up meetings with the project manager and both logistic and Aadhaar technology based support was provided as and when required. The segments were broken into micro tasks the progress was monitored closely by the UIDAI authority. The team used Git hub to ensure the site could seamlessly replace the existing live site.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
i found the vendor provided most sincere, responsive and competent team and was headed by a highly approachable and solution oriented leaders. The Tekdi team went beyond the call of duty and did more than they were asked for. Even though we had a tight schedule and the team had to revamp and multilingual(13 languages) website and provide UX templates for 35 web services in 3 and half month timeline we did not find a single instance of communication gap or lapses on the side of the design it developers.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
The Tekdi team had to work with multi functional te and there were some technical snags during the time of site hosting. Though the reason was the beyond the vendors preview I wish there were some risk assessments done before hand.
Tekdi Technologies Pvt. Ltd. delivered a completely bug-free product to the client that over-delivered on the agreement. They communicated regularly and effectively, and their initial discovery revealed potential roadblocks and solutions that the client hadn’t considered.
