I am the CEO of zirkarta. We develop real-time map-centric communication software for the emergency response industry.

For what projects/services did your company hire TechJam?

We needed a partner to help us built a management system for natural disasters with a feature that enables users to configure automatically generated emergency response plans.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted the completed project to align with our set of screenshot examples and requirement descriptions.

How did you select this vendor?

We posted an advertisement on Stack Overflow and received 350 applications. We reviewed each candidate’s technical competence and company values and TechJam stood out from the rest.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

We provided TechJam with screenshot-based descriptions of the requirements for the solution and its functionalities. Their team planned the scope of the project and began working under an agile methodology. Using MySQL, PHP, JavaScript, and CSS3, TechJam built the management system and programmed information regarding the people and equipment necessary to manage emergency incidents. As a by-product of the solution, users are provided with a set of emergency response plans. An additional feature allows each individual response organization to configure and adjust these plans to meet their specific needs.

What was the team composition?

We were in contact with the CEO, who managed the team and handled the testing processes, and a business manager, who handled our administrative needs. Initially, we worked with one developer, who recommended we bring on a second one. These two worked collaboratively with two additional developers from a different team.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

With TechJam, we have developed an MVP that we can use for customer demonstrations and trials.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

As this was an offshore project, we tracked the project through Jira, which allowed us to easily share screenshots or noticeable bugs. Additional discussions were handled via a chat program. There were no issues with the language or time difference. The TechJam team was very proactive. They were great problem-solvers and communicators that consistently looked ahead to identify potential issues and solutions.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was very impressed by TechJam’s ability to translate our non-technical requirements into high-performing digital functionalities, and with very few misunderstandings. Having no background in the field, I very much appreciated their approach to our partnership.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

This was a completely new functionality, so we had to use an experimental development method. Because the project was continuously changing, it was sometimes difficult to make accurate estimates of the time needed to complete some tasks.

Please describe your organization. What is your role and responsibilities?

My company develops GPS tracking software and applications to track vehicles and people. I design the software, and I'm the owner of the company.

What was your goal for working with 1webdev?

We had the software application working but we wanted to go to the next step and make it more useful for customers. We wanted to implement reporting functions and some screens that we didn't have in our initial product. We needed 1webdev to help us finish developing the application. 

What was your process for selecting 1webdev with which to work?

I worked with other companies before 1webdev, but I was not satisfied with the results. I found the owner four years ago as a freelancer who has grown his team. We didn't have any issues in the past so our partnership has continued.

Can you give a sense of the size of the initiative in dollar terms or a personnel work-hour figure?

During my entire partnership with 1webdev, I have spent in the range of $100,000 to $150,000.

Are you satisfied with their performance?

I'm completely satisfied with the job they have done.

Is there anything unique or special about 1webdev that really makes them stand out compared to other business partners?

One thing that is great about 1webdev is their communication, I could practically reach them 24 hours a day. In addition to their communication, they have great development skills. The team I worked with initially did not know much about GPS technology, but they took it upon themselves to learn the ins and outs of GPS technology quickly.

Looking back on the work so far, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or that you might do differently?

I don't think so.

I'm the founder of Dojanga, a first-of-a-kind remote taekwondo training application.

For what projects/services did your company hire TechJam?

We hired TechJam to clear some new functionality, issue and technical debt related items off of our backlog. 

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to get the items done and to evaluate a long term partner for future development work.

How did you select this vendor?

We first placed an ad on Upwork, interviewed and gave test assignments to a few candidates and decided to continue with TechJam due to their technical know how and good communication.

We started off by briefing TechJam about the open items, had them start the development, tested items when ready and re-tested possible corrections.

What was the team composition?

TechJam had 1-2 developers on board together with a project manager. From our side, I was the sole person on board.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Regarding business outcomes, it's too early to say since we are publishing the changes together with a content update package. Regarding the technical deliverables, we are very happy with the results.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

At first I was a bit concerned due to the developer not speaking English but this concern was quickly overcome by the efficient communication we with the project manager. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their technical know-how of course was most impressive, but also the clear & swift communication they showed and the can do attitude and determination to finish the work they started.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Of course everything can always be improved, but we didn't see any major areas for improvement. We were very happy with the outcome and will continue working together with TechJam after this test project.

Our organization provides technology consulting services to U.S. based businesses. Within our organization, my role is to provide architecture direction to development teams.

We have used TechJam to assist in the development of a mobile app, and other line-of-business applications.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to increase development speed.

How did you select this vendor?

We evaluated cost, ease of communication, technical talent, and responsiveness and found these traits to be superior when compared to other firms.

We design the solution and prepared some written documentation and workflow diagrams. TechJam digested these artifacts then we cycled through multiple rounds of questions and answers (business analysis). In the end, TechJam delivered working software written with the patterns we ask for.

What was the team composition?

We provided business analysis and TechJam provided a Project Manager and multiple developers. Team composition fluctuated slightly over the project but that had little effect on delivery.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

End users have been very satisfied.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

TechJam provided Project Management and we used Azure DevOps to manage tasks/iterations.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Any challenges were surfaced quickly. This helped to reduce any problems that could have happened.

No. We have enjoyed our work with TechJam.

TechJam was hired to develop a mobile supply chain tracking software application.

Create a MVP to use as a basis for a full-scale, enterprise software application.

TechJam contacted me and after interviewing several companies, I chose TechJam due to their expertise, professionalism, work ethic, and ability to deliver quality for an affordable price.

The project involved developing a custom, mobile supply chain tracking application. Due to proprietary reasons, cannot go into detail as to the specific functionality, but TechJam provided all development and assisted with the design, technology selection, development, testing, and project management of the application.

What was the team composition?

TechJam made available as many developers as the project needed including those for data integration, UI development, back-end development, project management and testing resources.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

TechJam was able to create a full MVP in line with our budget and to specifications. Their ability to help solicit feedback in regard to the technical design and implementation was better than I would have expected.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

A Project Manager was assigned and provided constant feedback. I was never wondering about the status of the development efforts because the communication was excellent.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What is most impressive about the company is the technical competence of the team. I have managed software projects for over 20 years, and I was extremely impressed by the technical competence, communication, and delivery of the custom application.

The same technical competence of the TechJam team would cost more than triple the cost in the US. Also, in light of working in a different timezone, TechJam was more than accommodating in meeting times and communications.

Are there any areas for improvement?

As TechJam exceeded my expectations, I cannot think of ways to improve.

My company is a Non Emergency Medical Transportation, on USA Ground, Texas state. We transport people from residence to medical facilities.

I had a previous knowledge of Mr Evgen Ilchenco, which was in 2003, he did some coding for me fixing some errors, then when I started my own business in 2016, I contacted him again to build what I need from scratches and not depending on previous versions of softwares.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

it improved my ability to run the company from 1 to level 10 on a 10 grade scale.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Evgene Ilchenco and his super intelligent ability to code. He was spending extra ordinary time and effort on my demands on the software, even he used his weekend time to finish some urgent parts of the software.

If you can replicate Evgen Ilchenco, and his talent and patience then you will win the all market.
