I'm the CEO and co-founder of Luke Technology. We provide custom application development and marketing for the educational industry in the US.

What challenge were you trying to address with TechAvidus?

We needed a partner to build a mobile application. 

What was the scope of their involvement?

We developed a mobile app for college students. It’s a complex app that has different screens and a lot of workflows. It’s available on Android and iOS. 

What is the team composition?

I worked with two software engineers, one tech lead, and one project manager.

How did you come to work with TechAvidus?

I found them on Clutch. I interviewed a lot of companies, and TechAvidus’ technical knowledge, ability to deliver, and project management stood out. I was looking for somebody who had technical-level knowledge and project management capabilities.

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost of the project was about $140,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked on the project from mid-January 2020–February 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

TechAvidus delivered the project on time and 10% below the budget. We encountered a lot of challenges with changing the requirements and design, yet they continued to deliver, even with unclear requirements. We also found minimal defects in the production. 

How did TechAvidus perform from a project management standpoint?

We worked with them for almost a year, and the app was launched successfully on the App Store and the Google Play Store. I had a very good experience working with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They had good communication and possessed strong technical knowledge. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of any. Everything was good. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would suggest keeping the requirements very clear.

We needed a customized portal built where customers can track sales of all formats of their books across more than a dozen venues and order copies for themselves, upload files, etc. etc. The level of complexity was so high we didn't even know where to begin.

How did you select TechAvidus and what were the deciding factors?

The deciding factors for selecting TechAvidus was their excellent portfolio of work and their extremely professional and knowledable staff. Excellent developers, excellent service. They just get it.

At least five or six over time, but we were generally working with one or two project managers who were outstanding.

TechAvidus' project management style is excellent. They are organized and highly skilled, but still willing able to explain everything to a lay person in a way we can understand.

They provide recommendations and implement solutions to complex problems. They never miss a deadline and are in constant communication through whatever means we need them. We tend to communicate through email and Skype chat/calls.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to process convoluted and complex direction from us, to make sense of it, and to implement it. A well run company starts from the top and TechAvdus' principal, Keshu, runs his company well. His whole team is organized, efficient, and talented.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not really. They took our complex job and they did fantastic. We continue to work with them everyday on issues big and small and they have never let us down.

I’m the CEO of a platform with blogging and gamification components.

What challenge were you trying to address with TechAvidus?

I needed help building my application.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They ran the project from start to finish. I had a CTO, initially, who designed the database and TechAvidus did everything from there. They were responsible for .NET core backend development and Angular frontend design.

What is the team composition?

At the peak, we worked with 5–6 people from their team.

How did you come to work with TechAvidus?

We had a pretty extensive search for talent, interviewing over 30 different candidates for the role. We found TechAvidus on Upwork and did double-blinded interviews. My CTO asked technical interview questions and I asked about their soft skills.

Afterward, we compared notes and they came out on top, even before we considered their price. The quality of work they were offering was considerably higher than what they were charging.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent roughly $175,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2018, and we wrapped up in December 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It was relatively simple. I gave them a deadline for deliverables and, in most cases, they delivered what I was asking for. It was fairly fluid because I regularly asked them to complete other tasks in addition to their main assignment. When there were no changes and the deadline was fixed, they were always able to deliver.

How did TechAvidus perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very good. The partners and team leads were always involved and their English was exceptional. The team was very approachable and available. The development team didn’t speak English all the time but I didn’t deal with them on a daily basis. We never had any problems with communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were very talented. The team knew all the technologies and trends. They had the same caliber of knowledge and expertise as some of my nearshore colleagues. Their prices are a fraction of what local agencies charge but their level of experience is comparable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were a few hiccups here and there. Especially in the beginning, when we were learning each other’s working style. Otherwise, nothing comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to communicate with them. They’re very flexible, approachable, and receptive. With other development agencies, communication was brutal. The TechAvidus really listens. If there’s an issue, don’t hide it; talk to the team leads and the partners. They’ll resolve the problem.

I'm the non-technical co-founder of a company that has a very sophisticated tech infrastructure. It's a community-building platform based around a very complex event management system, as well as profiles, subscriptions and a messaging system (as the core components).

We engaged the TechAvidus team for an Enterprise Event Management Application & community-building platform Development, which requires a great attention to detail. Our goal was to rebuild our infrastructure as per latest technologies and trends.

We got different quotes on the project and TechAvidus had the most competitive pricing; we also received great recommendations from another team that engaged them for a software build.

The team is great at communicating and all requests were answered in a very timely manner. We mainly used skype to communicate and the project tracking tools.

They have been a pleasure to work with - extremely responsive, great communication and they really care about my project. Keshu, the owner, is a wonderful leader and takes great pride in his team and it really shows.

No.

I'm the Executive Vice President and manage the day-day operations. eePulse is an HR consulting and technical company located in the USA.

We hired TechAvidus to develop a new employee survey process for us to expand our current offerings.

How did you select TechAvidus and what were the deciding factors?

We found them on the Web and thourougly checked their references. The references were so good we decided to go with them.

They did a complete development of the program for us including deploying on AWS.

We received a complete application with the features we required. The TechAvidus team kept us informed all the way, we had weekly meetings and they kept us on track when we were slow to provide feedback.

We primarily used skyp and email to communicate. As mentioned they stay on top of everything and pushed us to respond so we can make our deadlines. We worked with senior people which allowed for quick decision making.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Friendly, competent people. They were all a joy to work with, and the value is great. I know several groups that have had projects much less complicated than ours pay USA developers hundreds of thousands of dollars. They are a joy to work with. They are available 24/7. I don't think they sleep much.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The project will go best if there is a clear understanding of what is required. Screen shots for the application and reports is a must and clear statements of what the program is to do is going to make the project go smoothly.

I am the CTO of HRMS startup - Awedus: A human resource management platform.

For what projects/services did your company hire TechAvidus, and what were your goals?

We are looking to build an all-in-one HRMS platform for our clients which is easy to manage and operate.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched for vendors online, and did interviews with their sales team, and then in some cases with developers from their team. Cost, ability to work in-house with our team, and scaling options were the deciding factors.

We have used the team for a large scope of work, but key things have been developing a custom application through the angular framework.

The team has been able to meet all deadlines, and they perform very well. From a project management standpoint, we’ve been very pleased.

Their team is easy to work with and they all continue to work hard. We've been most impressed by the strong technical skills of their software engineers.
