A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the senior global influencer marketing manager at HelloFresh. I oversee our influencer relationships across all of our 15+ markets. Essentially, I make sure that the global strategy is being applied all our different brands across the world.
What challenge were you trying to address with TATAM Digital?
We wanted to optimise our influencer program in key markets, like Canada and the UK.
What was the scope of their involvement?
TATAM Digital serves as one of our influencer agency partners. They help us optimize our influencer performance marketing program across two markets. The team helps us in our program in Canada and in the UK. Their team optimizes our programs by helping us find new influencers, verticals, and streams of work. In Canada, they help us across the board with various social media channels because our program there is more diverse; in the UK, they only help us optimize our YouTube program since we already have a strong Instagram program.
When we engage with influencers, we give TATAM Digital some basic metrics and data about the audience we’re trying to reach. Based on such data, they look for influencers everywhere. They have their own tools and connections to influencer networks in various countries. After searching, they show us a long list of influencer names, demographics, and reach. Using such information, our team calculates the expected ROI we can get from each influencer. We make decisions based on those numbers, and we tell TATAM Digital who we want to work with and who to hold on to — that’s our workflow.
Apart from finding influencers, TATAM Digital also reports on what the influencers have given us. The team also provides guidance on how we can keep growing our program. During our monthly calls, they explain the numbers to us and give their recommendations. Simply put, they’re responsible for the management of the whole campaign, including the reporting and analysis.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with Federico (Board Member) and Lucia (Founder). Apart from them, we also collaborate with Iara (Influencer Marketing Lead), Rocio (Influencer Marketing Specialist), and Agustin (Business Intelligence & Project Manager). In total, we work with five people across both the Canadian and UK markets.
Iara is a bit more involved in the campaign and program management, but we also have constant communication with TATAM Digital’s founders. Their leadership people provide us with an overview of their older clients and the learnings that they’ve collected from other clients’ campaigns.
How did you come to work with TATAM Digital?
The person who was in my position before me introduced TATAM Digital to the company, and it took us a while to onboard them because many other agencies reached out to us with plenty of proposals. We took our time to know whether TATAM Digital was a good solution for us; our team decided to give them a shot in the end.
How much have you invested with them?
We've invested six-figure budgets.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started engaging with them in April 2020, and our partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our main KPI is the customer acquisition cost (CAC). We have six CAC targets per market and per month, depending on the individual market’s seasonality. With this in mind, TATAM Digital’s success depends on the market demand, and the markets are truly difficult to optimize. In any case, we’re quite happy with them; they’ve truly helped us improve our CAC. Our views have also increased tremendously.
How did TATAM Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management is great. Some markets are more challenging than others, and they’re aware of that. The team helps us strategize between markets; whenever we’re in a challenging situation, they’re always proactive in suggesting new ways of working or new ideas. That’s what we truly appreciate — we always want partners that are willing to challenge the way we do things or propose ways we haven’t done. Overall, they’ve been highly proactive in experimenting with things, trying new influencers, and discovering new verticals.
Moreover, we use Slack for day-to-day communication. We have a dedicated channel for daily tasks. Our teams also have two monthly meetings: one for Canada and one for the UK. We host the meetings on Google Meet, where we disclose and collect campaign data.
What did you find most impressive about them?
TATAM Digital’s customer care distinguishes them from competitors. They care about us; they take time to adjust things where we need to make changes. For instance, they can change budgets in the blink of an eye. Simply put, customer care is truly important for them, and we truly appreciate it.
Are there any areas they could improve?
TATAM Digital can extend their manpower and hire more people. That way, they can take on the needs of more clients. At the same time, this will allow us to grow with them or give them another market to target and a brand to optimize. We can then ensure that they have the capacity to manage our budgets in the same way they manage our Canadian and UK markets.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
TATAM Digital appreciates feedback, and they like it when the company is hands-on with the campaigns. They want you to be up to date on everything that’s happening. The team wants you to tell them what you want and what kinds of influencers you truly need. Overall, while they provide a 360 service, you’ll get the most out of working with them if you’re highly involved in the campaigns.

Advertising & Marketing for Health & Fitness App
"They freely share the knowledge and don't keep things to themselves. We learn together."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the head of marketing of Fabulous. We’re a French-based company, and we have a health and fitness app.
What business challenge were you trying to address with TATAM Digital?
Our goal was to grow our business by acquiring new users that’d hopefully turn into customers. Around the beginning of 2021, we identified that influencer marketing was a promising strategy. We hired TATAM Digital to market our company by hiring influencers to promote our app through videos.
What was the scope of their involvement?
TATAM Digital is an influencer agency. We started working with them to help us identify influencers to work with, manage them, strike deals, and eventually have those influencers publish videos that would promote us.
First, we tested a few influencers so we wouldn’t spend too much. Our strategy was quite simple; we wanted to start and then learn what was working. With TATAM Digital, we identified that influencers were talking about a specific topic. We didn’t know what was going to work, but we were able to scale up through this test and learning process.
Now, we only work with YouTube creators and influencers. We talk to them and support the creators by providing a brief. They don’t put out online ads by themselves.
What was the team composition?
We have at least three people from their team working directly on our accounts. The two founders have been in close contact with us since the beginning. One of them is still very involved.
How did you come to work with TATAM Digital?
My previous company had already worked with them, so I knew they were good. We reached out to them again, and the deal they offered was the best one we got.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent a bit over $100,000 through live and booked YouTube integrations. They calculate their commission based on that.
What is the status of the engagement?
We officially began our partnership in March 2021, and we’re still working with them.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We judge everything based on ROI or return on ad spends. If we can increase the spending and reach our ROI goal, then it’s all good. In this case, TATAM has consistently overachieved on the ROI side. I can't give exact metrics, but we were profitable with these campaigns.
How did TATAM Digital perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve been great. Since the beginning, they were very transparent on how the process would go and how things would be in terms of performance. They freely share the knowledge and don't keep things to themselves. We learn together, which is really cool.
Moreover, they’re excellent at communication. When we have questions or requests, they’re really quick to accommodate us. TATAM Digital is very reactive and flexible.
For communication, we have a shared Slack channel and Google Sheets, where we report performance. We also have a few monthly calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re specialized in apps. It’s been comfortable to work with them because they have a vast experience with startups and scale-ups.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We realized a bit too late that we could personalize our brief a little bit more. Also, as a marketing leader, I always want to spend more and faster. However, they're doing it well and regularly. Besides that, I don’t have any complaints.
Any advice for potential customers?
Be very clear on the metrics that you want to achieve. If they know it, then they will do their absolute best to reach that goal. Otherwise, if you're not clear on your objectives, it’ll make things quite complicated.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I work for a language learning app company. My role in the company is managing the collaborations with content creators and influencer marketing.
For what projects/services did your company hire TATAM Digital?
We needed someone to support our influencer marketing collaborations in certain markets and TATAM helps us with that. We now need someone to support a big campaign we're having in Germany next year and they are helping us building the influencer marketing strategy for the campaign.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I was not part of the selection process.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We had a kick-off meeting explaining what type of channels had worked best for us in the past and the best way of working together. Our process is TATAM present deals for us (creators, price and video idea) and if we believe is a good brand fit we'll move forward with the collaboration. Once the creator sends the content we approve it (or share the changes if needed to) and share the tracking links with TATAM to share with the creator. Once the content is live, we get the results internally and share with TATAM every Monday. They will analyse the results and we do a monthly meeting to analyse how the month went and they give us recommendations on what to do the following month.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
They have to permanent members of the team helping us. At the beginning we were having activations in three different markets so they increased the number of team members to cover the three markets. Now we are currently only working in one as it was the most profitable and the one it most interest us strategically. Currently they have 3 people in the team managing the collaborations (searching and closing deals) and one who's job is analyse the results.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We don't have the capability to manage internally all the collaborations we currently have. TATAM has increased the number of collaborations we have with content creators.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We meet once a month to see the results and see what's best to do next. We have a shared spreadsheet and slack channels where we put ideas in common and day to day work.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
What I found more impressive is that they are a performance approach to influencer marketing. While other agencies will focus reach or views TATAM focuses on results and have a specific team to analyse and improve the decisions.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
What's best of them is the way of analysing the results to see what's working and not, but sometimes they don't follow what we're seeing it's working best. For example, we see one vertical is not working and we'll speak of stop going with that type of channels but they will keep proposing channels of that vertical.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Founder and CMO of Zenda, an Advertising Agency focused on Data Driven Campaigns & Models.
For what projects/services did your company hire TATAM Digital?
We were looking for a partner to developt campaigns across Influencers channels, but with the challenge of finding one with a model that allowed us to compare those channels against networks as Facebook Ads, Google ads, etc. WE ended up working together with several clients, from different industries, Health Apps, Gaming Apps, Business looking for Leads, Financials Online Platforms.
What were your goals for this project?
Our main goal was being able to achieve results measurable over hard to measure networks. Like Attribution of App Purchases inside an App after someone watch an Influencer Campaign, or the Real Reach & Impact of a Youtube Video made by an influencer on their own channel(where we are not able to measure).
How did you select this vendor?
We were recommended by a client who had great results working with them.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
They focused on everything related Influencers Campaigns, from Planning(finding the best ones according to business target), to Excecution, with the remarcable side of developing great reportings to understand the real results and being able to optimice month after month.
What was the team composition?
I've worked mainly with the directors of TATAM, but also our teams were involved with their teams in daily operation.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We growth several business, improving their results over the Branding aspect of their campaigns where they barely measure anything, suddenly their were able to understand which Influencer was the ideal one for them based on real results, which ended up resulting in a better budget allocation achieving better results in term of Costs per Acquisition.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
They both work greatly together from the begging, it's easier when both teams speak the same "performance" language since we all ended up going after the same KPIs.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Both their profound knowledge about influencers all around the globe and different networks (really hard to find), and the models they used to understand their results, adapted to micro and macro influencers were impressive.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I believe that technology and more data will improve their models, it's like and algorithm thats learning and getting better each day, they should keep doing that.

I'm the Director of Partnerships in the US for a top language learning app.
For what projects/services did your company hire TATAM Digital?
We were looking for an agency to help us test out influencer marketing as a way to drive acquisition from a younger demographic.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
They were recommended by a colleague from our Berlin office.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
Once we shared our goals and budget, they began building a strategy for sourcing influencers and content that would provide us maximum learnings from the start. We were interested in learning as much as we could versus seeing immediate performance. They understood our goals and immediately started delivering. They created the campaign brief, reporting docs, workflow and scheduled regular calls to check in on progress. We were able to invest more and more in the channel every month as we started seeing success with the campaign.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We have had anywhere from 3-6 people working on our account, but there has always been 1 primary account manager / main POC.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
After 4 months, we began seeing the efficiency needed to scale further. After 8 months we were able to 3x sales volume while maintaining an efficient CAC. This last quarter we continued to break records every month across our most important metrics.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We have a Slack channel for instant communication on a daily basis, as well as monthly calls to review performance. They’re very responsive to our needs in general. Communication and overall workflow is seamless.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They were invested in our success from day 1. They understood our goals and have delivered over and over again to meet them. Also, their level of professionalism has been unmatched thus far when compared to other agencies that provide similar services. They are highly organized, detail-oriented, and never let anything slip through the cracks.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We are trying to scale the program further and spend more with them but there have been various challenges in our way. Not all of this falls on them, but we are working together to continue growing our efforts.
