Tangent creates a new sales platform for IWG’s global workforce
The latest project Tangent completed for IWG has been the creation of a comprehensive sales platform: the IWG Sales Hub. The app provides brokers and sales teams the ability to generate tailored solutions to their customers and prospects. Through the app, they can access multiple products, search across the group for availability, and generate customer quotes and agreements.
The project aim was clear: to bring together and ultimately replace a number of existing products with a singular, responsive, and intuitive app - built with scalability in mind.
The project has been a year in the making and involved a global and collaborative effort including IWG product and technical teams.
A project on this scale requires in-depth user and market research to define the user priorities for the app. To begin the process, they conducted valuable research into how the sales teams were using various legacy tools and applications at the time. This allowed the agency to identify unmet user needs and overall better understand the challenges they were facing, and better informed them for the enhancements to be implemented.
Key Features
· The design of the app has been refined to facilitate richer face-to-face consultation between staff and customers.
· The new tool uses advanced mapping and geocoding to serve the right content to staff, based on their location.
· Discounting and offers are now also available.
To deliver the comprehensive yet seamless experience IWG’s users required, Tangent worked to build the app to the highest technical specifications.
Tech Specs
· Built with scalability in mind. It uses a responsive, component-based react.js framework.
· The data is aggregated behind a GraphQL service that provides a single source of truth for the data.
· Hosted in Azure Cloud, providing high availability and performance.
· Browser-based and optimised for use on desktop and tablets - in particular, the Windows Surface Pro used by IWG sales teams.

UK Power Networks enlisted Tangent to help transform its digital presence
With over 8 million domestic and commercial customers, UK Power Networks enlisted Tangent to help transform its digital presence and put customers at the heart of the process.
Discovery
Requirements: Our three-month discovery phase identified both business and user requirements. This included analysing thousands of comments and survey responses, interviews with all customer segments and gathering business needs from key stakeholders.
Personas: UK Power Networks’ customers range from households looking for a one-off service to commercial builders with an on-going relationship, each requiring specific content and functionality. We developed personas to identify the tasks and goals each group is looking to complete, and how the website could help achieve their objectives.

REED - How we got a digital campaign to market in 8 days
The current pandemic has shattered lives all across the country in a host of different ways. For millions of workers, the impact of this pandemic has sometimes meant job cuts, furloughing or pay cuts- and a definite sense of uncertainty.
The employment and recruitment company REED quickly identified what this meant for the job market and the economy as a whole. With unemployment numbers going up, and new job opportunities going down, REED decided to launch a campaign to #KeepBritainWorking. But they needed to act fast.
A sprint approach
At the beginning of April, we were approached by REED to help them bring this new business campaign to market. They’d attempted to create a website for the campaign internally, but realised that its current design, brand, and functionality wasn’t working hard enough to capture and engage the business community.

Refining the digital experience of the world’s leading global workspace provider
IWG is a multinational provider of serviced offices, co-working spaces, business lounges, virtual offices and meeting rooms. We’ve been working with IWG’s roster of brands to deliver an improved user experience and interface to key products accessed by 2.5 million individual clients across 3,340 locations in 120 countries.
Customer App Refresh
The first product we helped with was a refresh of the existing IWG customer app.
It became clear as we progressed with designing our totally new version of the customer app that some of our improvements could be applied to the existing app as quick wins.

Adding the human element to tech-powered hiring
In a world where all businesses are digital businesses, recruiting and hiring top tech talent can be cut-throat. Doing that at scale presents an even bigger challenge.
Codility, a software platform that helps tech recruiters and hiring managers, makes the process more manageable and efficient. It assesses potential candidates by testing their coding skills online and push prospective hires along the hiring funnel.
Brand Review
Their existing brand and website were no longer reflective of the company they have become.
Their online presence was undistinguishable from other scale-ups in their sector; their primary colour being ‘tech blue’, excessive use of ‘non-ownable’ graphics, and a lack of human element to their offer that differentiates them from the competition.

Getting a better understanding of what makes potential employees click
For every bright big yellow new fulfilment centre Amazon opens, thousands of new employees – or associates as they call them – are needed on day 1 to pick, pack and ship the products you get on your doorstep. But recruiting new associates at scale is no easy task, especially when you’re filling roles needed on a 24/7 basis.
Amazon came to us to run a piece of research that would help them better understand what messaging resonates best with potential employees and provide ideas to optimise the candidate experience.
What we did
We gathered insight through quantitative research on 3 key areas of the candidate experience: - Employer brand: What motivates someone to choose Amazon as an employer? - Creative execution: What messaging and visuals resonates with prospective employees best? - Job description: Does the current job description answer all the candidate questions and provide all the information required to get them to apply?

Envisioning, Building and Managing SAP’s largest eCommerce store
Serving over 335k customers in 190 countries, SAP is one of the largest enterprise resource planning software vendors in the world - in fact, it’s estimated that 75% of all global business transactions come in contact with an SAP system.
With so many businesses relying on its products every day, SAP came to Tangent with a brief to improve the online management and sales of its huge catalogue of complementary training materials.
The Challenge
When we started this project, the catalogue section of SAP’s Education store was flagging; it had a high bounce rate, next to no dwell time and most importantly very low conversion.
Our solution needed to both address these issues and automate the process behind future catalogue updates, to avoid high operational overheads and reduce stale content.

Designing a consistent customer experience for Decibel
Nobody knows the need for an omni-channel customer experience like Decibel, the London-based digital intelligence platform.
Our brief was to bring clarity back to Decibel’s disruptive market positioning, drawing on everything from a logo redesign to a completely re-imagined online platform.
Inspired by Decibel’s mouse-tracking technology, we reconstructed the brand logo through a number of dynamic paths and forms representing web users’ common on-page interactions.
The new logo can be deconstructed and cropped to become the major brand element in any number of print or web layouts.
Web Applications
These newly formed elements gave us the flexibility to create a compelling web experience, from interactive infographics that invite visitors to explore Decibel’s complex tool at their own pace, to revised forms and user journeys that make booking a demo or downloading materials all part of the same cohesive experience even when translated for mobile.
The tool itself was rebranded with the new logo and visual identity, with everything from data visualizations and iconography to the internal navigation reflective of the same impactful Decibel brand:
Wider Applications
Finally, we expanded our digital work across a full suite of offline collateral and brand merchandise, completing Decibel’s end-to-end customer experience.

I'm the marketing lead at Brave Bison, a new-era media and marketing group that specialises in social media
For what projects/services did your company hire Tangent Digital Agency, and what were your goals?
Our website was created a number of years ago and quickly became outdated, in desperate need of some TLC. Our ultimate goal was to create a website that showcases the very best of Brave Bison, our services, people and case studies.
How did you select Tangent Digital Agency and what were the deciding factors?
We searched online for vendors and Tangent came recommended to us. We were impressed by their client list, expertise and innovative approach to web development.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
When we partnered with Tangent they hosted a number of kick-off meetings to get to grips with our goals and how we would like to work together going forward. After this, we devised the scope of work and priorities we felt should be met first. The team went away to design and deliver mock-ups and wireframes, which we then reviewed together.
After a few rounds of amendments, the team continued to deliver fantastic work meeting the objectives we had set out. We are still working with Tangent to develop and grow our website on WordPress further.
How many people from the Tangent Digital Agency team worked with you, and what were their positions?
A project manager was our main point of contact with a number of highly talented designers and developers working away behind the scenes.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
If we faced any delays the team would run us through them ahead of delivery. Over time we have seen our bounce rate decrease and the quality of our inbound leads has really increased, which is exactly what we wanted to achieve.
Clients can get in touch with us much easier now and can easily view our best work, meet the team and get to know what Brave Bison is all about.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
