MILES Mobility - Storyblok migration
Our client
MILES is the largest independent carsharing provider in Germany and is active in Berlin, Potsdam, Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Bonn & Duisburg. MILES believes in a world where mobility is shared, sustainable and accessible to all, and creates an alternative to private car ownership with its offering.
The task
Our client's wish was to have a future-proof and easy-to-use website. At the same time, the change to the new website should happen without downtime or SEO losses. In order for the future in-house team to be able to take over the maintenance of new components independently, they had to be involved in the process and trained.
The result
Within four weeks we managed, in close cooperation with MILES, to move the previous website to Storyblok's new headless CMS. In addition to a new CMS, various technical improvements were also made, such as the integration of TypeScript and unit testing.

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m an executive at a creative agency.
What challenge were you trying to address with take it_?
We needed support to build a web application for a client. We didn’t have time for the project, so we wanted to outsource it.
What was the scope of their involvement?
take it_ developed a Vue.js web app for us from scratch. To jumpstart the project, we provided them with wireframes, the design, and the functionalities we needed.
The product is a configurator implemented on our client’s site; people can use that tool to go through different steps to choose the type of service they need. After finishing, the platform creates a lead so our client can contact that potential customer.
How did you come to work with take it_?
We chose them because they seemed reliable and professional.
How much have you invested in them?
We spent around €25,000 (approximately $28,000 USD) with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together through December 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They streamlined our client’s communication between them and their customers; 80% of their site’s users have been utilizing the new system, and they like it. Overall, the project was a success.
How did take it_ perform from a project management standpoint?
They were fast and professional with their work. We had weekly calls and daily updates in terms of project management. Regarding tools, we used Slack, emails, and a Trello board.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their communication was outstanding. Take it_’s team solved and explained my questions quickly, and walked me through every step of the process, so I always knew what they were working on at the moment.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have video calls with them to get an idea of the person you’re talking with. Also, explain the project to them so they can provide feedback to you.
The product that take it_ created has streamlined the client's customer's lead contact process. Their fast and professional work was also key to keeping the team updated on the process. The client praised their outstanding communication and amiable approach to solving questions.
