Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a board member and technical advisor of a mobile fitness app.
What challenge were you trying to address with Sunvera Software?
We wanted to reach more people with our founder’s expertise. She had spent many years as a fitness trainer, and she had touched many people’s lives, helping them in person. Thus, we reached out to Sunvera to help us develop a mobile fitness app to connect to more people and touch more lives.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Sunvera has helped us develop a mobile app for iOS and Android, as well as a web admin portal. For the iOS version, they've used Swift as the programming language. Additionally, our platform’s backend is hosted on AWS. Once we launch the app, they’ll keep working with us to provide maintenance and make improvements as needed.
What is the team composition?
We work with the co-founder, who also serves as the technical project manager, and the chief listening officer, who is in charge of new clients. Besides Sunvera’s leadership, we interact with a development team based in India.
How did you come to work with Sunvera Software?
We had been looking at and interviewing a few companies when Sunvera came to us through a referral.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent over $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working around July 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Although we initially had some small bugs and crashes, the development process was fairly smooth compared to other development projects I’ve worked on. The app has been very stable, and it seems well-architected. I’ve also had the chance to go over the source code, and I noticed that it is well-maintained and neatly laid out — Sunvera delivered quality code.
Due to the pandemic, we had some delays in the app’s rollout, and it is to be released yet. Thus, we don’t have any statistics to share.
How did Sunvera Software perform from a project management standpoint?
Our communication with Sunvera has been good. We’ve worked very closely with their development team, and our founder has formed a very close partnership with them to ensure that her vision is achieved. Although our concept was new for them and we provided them with very strict requirements, having a project manager based in the US has been very helpful to keep things moving smoothly.
Regarding meeting deadlines in general, we’ve had some challenges due to COVID-19. However, Sunvera’s ability to deliver on time is great. We’ve had to change deadlines for different reasons, but their team has been very understanding and willing to work with us around those changes. Even during the worse periods of the pandemic in India, the developers continued with their work and never used COVID-19 as an excuse for not meeting a deadline — I give them enormous credit for that.
We use Jira to track the project. Additionally, we have weekly meetings on Zoom, and we communicate via emails, which automatically go to Jira.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Sunvera’s professionalism is impressive. As I mentioned, I knew that they were going through a crisis during the COVID-19 peak, but they never mentioned it as a reason for not doing their job on time. Additionally, we’ve had some disagreements regarding some defects on the product, not knowing with certainty which side was responsible for them. However, they’ve maintained a high level of professional courtesy and decorum during those discussions.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would be good if Sunvera improved their understanding of the clients’ background. Some of our challenges came from not understanding where we were at initially. We were not technically savvy, and Sunvera initially didn’t understand that. Although they did a great job adjusting to that, they still have room for improvement in that regard. Doing so will help them grow because every client is different, and they come in with different expectations, backgrounds, and challenges.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Trust them and be willing to listen to their feedback because they have high-level expertise. Throughout our engagement, I’ve trusted their work and technical judgment, allowing them to make decisions that I initially didn’t understand. Now, I know the reason behind those decisions.

Mobile App & Web Dev for Healthcare Technology Service Co.
“It’s great that we have a partner we can trust to deliver.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the CEO of a company that provides technology as a service to the healthcare and health science industry.
What challenge were you trying to address with Sunvera Software?
We needed help developing an app to expand our services and move to technology as a service company from a pure service provider.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Sunvera Software helped us develop a HIPAA compliant, native-built mobile app and its administrative portal. First, they created the wireframing for a Microsoft Azure cloud-based mobile app, as well as our web version, which was a .NET platform. We walked Sunvera Software through our requirements, and they helped us refine the UX/UI. Their team developed the app, did some beta testing, and launched it. They also developed our website in WordPress, which they’ve continued to maintain.
Since the initial launch, we’ve evolved the app platform — we’ve done 10–15 work orders with Sunvera Software for app enhancements, including UI changes.
What is the team composition?
We worked with many teammates from Sunvera Software, including their CEO, project managers, and several developers.
How did you come to work with Sunvera Software?
We put out an RFP and interviewed about 20 companies for this job. A friend of mine’s wife then referred Sunvera Software to me, so we added them to the competitive RFP process. Sunvera Software came out ahead of the competition, so we hired them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested $250,000–$999,000 with Sunvera Software.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with Sunvera Software in September 2015 and our partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve been able to expand internationally and expand our services via our new mobile technology. We don’t have any issues with downtime or user complaints — if there are ever bugs, they handle them immediately.
How did Sunvera Software perform from a project management standpoint?
Sunvera Software is responsive and fair with their pricing — they’re great at following the scope of work we set at the beginning of the project. Sunvera Software uses Jira to manage the project and sticks to the project schedule.
We usually communicate with Sunvera Software via Zoom meetings or phone calls.
We interface with developers and project managers to set up project timelines and costs. We then provide feedback and set a timeline for production.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Sunvera Software is honest and cost-effective, which is essential because many times, development projects can be black holes for money if clients aren’t careful. It’s great that we have a partner we can trust to deliver.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t have anything for them to improve — our newest projects are running smoother than ever before.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Potential clients need to know exactly what they need from Sunvera Software but should break down the project into pieces. Sunvera Software is great at helping clients break down projects iteratively, but clients need to be flexible to develop in cycles. It’s important to focus on the end game, but equally important to focus on the first step of any project.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder of a company called 22nd Solutions, and we develop smart toys and gadgets for all ages.
What challenge were you trying to address with Sunvera Software?
Our toy has LEDs that can teach people how to solve it, so we needed someone to build a graphical companion app for our Bluetooth-connected device.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We requested Sunvera Sofware to build an Android and iOS app, as well as backend servers to help manage user registrations. After we signed the contract, we then went into the development of the app where they execute their tasks seamlessly.
Our process involves weekly meetings to make sure the teams are working well, and we even provided them with some code to make it easier for them to understand the cube.
What is the team composition?
Generally, there would be five people involved in our weekly meetings and calls. I work directly with Ram (Owner).
How did you come to work with Sunvera Software?
We had a good reference from someone who had used Sunvera Software’s services in the past. We also like that they’re local to our area, so being able to meet with Ram directly is quite good.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve probably invested close to $100,000 now.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing partnership started in June 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
So far, we’ve sold over 500 cubes and have had 300 registered users on the backend server — which means people are downloading the app with our cube.
How did Sunvera Software perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re top-notch when it comes to project management and we normally communicate through email and Zoom.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We like that they have excellent service and they’re just easy to work with. We don’t have to worry or stay on top of them, because they do their job perfectly with no hassle.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I have a lot of ideas I want to develop in the future, but I have no complaints at the moment.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would suggest working with them in creating a detailed plan so they can execute their tasks without going down one path and reversing them.
