Introduce your business and your position there.
I work at Sommier Center. I am a marketing manager in charge of e-commerce strategies, communications, media, and products.
What challenges were you trying to address with Summa Solutions?
We migrated platforms from Magento to Magento 2.3 Cloud. So, we were looking to develop a brand new website with new technology and a new platform.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The platform was Magento. As far as coding technologies go, I couldn’t say.
What is the team composition?
It was an integral project, so all of the company was involved.
How did you come to work with Summa?
We had a pitch where three companies participated, and we ended up choosing Summa for several reasons. They are a well-recognized company in the country, have a great portfolio and they were the ones with a proposal and budget that aligned the most with our needs.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started in October of 2019. We were supposed to launch the site in January or February of 2020, but we ended up launching it in March of 2020. The project lasted about four months in total.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The conversion rate increased by 150% compared with the old website. The usability, navigation time, along with other metrics, increased significantly.
The platform is a lot more friendly to users. So, transactions have increased thanks to the update. Plus, there was a marketing campaign on the side. It was a positive mix.
How did Summa perform from a project management standpoint?
In general, I was happy with their project management style. Their project manager is very good at handling priorities and tasks. We worked in line with the company’s top management, CEO, and managers, to define the yearly roadmap.
They are well-aligned with our business, and we have a lot more projects to continue developing with them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They met all our expectations. They have a good communication style, everything flowed well and was just what we needed.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I am happy with their work, we haven’t had any inconveniences neither in their results or management.

I am the e-commerce manager at Chebar, a woman’s clothing brand based in Argentina with a physical presence in Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Peru and an online presence through e-commerce in the US.

There are permanently five members of the team, a project manager and four developers. Sometimes, there are more.

We pay a monthly fee of around $12,000–$13,000.

We started working with them in 2016, and our continuing to collaborate.

Our biggest challenge was to get conversions on our website. We used to have a conversion rate of around 0.9%. Thanks to Summa Solutions, we now have a conversion rate of 1.3%. To achieve this, they improved site performance, usability, and loading times, in addition to precise improvements in the checkout process to make our shopping process more fluid.
How did Summa Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
We use Assembla as our ticket management platform and had daily contact with the project manager. They're committed to the success of every project. They're excellent in terms of deadlines and schedules, and we are very happy.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They stand out in their flexibility to innovate. As a fashion company, we tend to have requirements that are unique—not your typical e-commerce needs. They always respond well, understanding our needs and providing solutions.
The new website is highly accessible, and the conversion rate increased by over 100%. Also, users make more web-based purchases on the new site. The vendor maintained a well-organized task management method throughout the timeline. Their leadership was actively invested in the project's success.
