The String

Introduce your business and what you do there.

My organization is called Organisational Psychology Limited and we do organizational development, diagnostics, and psychology. I’m the director of this company.

What challenge were you trying to address with The String?

We recently set up my company, and we were looking for someone to help me design my website and develop my app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The String provides a project plan that includes the design and build of the website, graphic design, branding, app development, and general management. For the branding and design side of the project, they created the logo of the website and provided suggestions on the graphics that essentially need to go on the website. 

Right now, we’re developing a mobile app for both the Android and iOS platforms. They’re helping me manage the project on the development side, as well as the design aspect.

What is the team composition?

I believe there are around four people working on this project, but I only work with one of them.

How did you come to work with The String?

I previously worked with an organization that provided animated videos for a company. I got back in touch with the same person, who then recommended me to The String. After speaking with The String, I really liked the relationship that was I was resonating with that person — so I decided to go ahead and use them.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about ￡25,000 (Approximately $34,800 USD) on the branding and website.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership began in November 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When I initially put it out there, I received a lot of positive feedback. People told me the website is appropriate for the audience because it looks professional, and it’s easy to use.

How did The String perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate through an application or dashboard that they had put together, to show what aspects of the work they’re busy with. I communicated more with the project manager, who I can get in touch with any time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re highly professional — at no point is there any pushback. It's a really easy relationship which I enjoyed. They're managing all aspects of the project and I would always be notified of where they are and if there any additional charges.

I don’t know much about the technical aspects of the project so there are a lot of times where they would tell me how things work. It’s really nice to get a detailed understanding, and they make sure to settle any breaches entirely. They’re also very flexible. Every time I have a query or concern, it’s always done and handled professionally, and I appreciate that. 

Moreover, I’m also very impressed with the design and build of the website. It’s quite comprehensive and I feel like The String is a high-integrity kind of organization. Whenever I need something, there would always be a discussion and fulfillment of projects that need to be actioned quickly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t know, I haven’t really thought about it. I haven’t done this kind of work before so I had no expectations around it. Maybe as they grow bigger, they can probably improve on the transparency of their proposals. However, this is coming from a marketing standpoint, and I understand that The String is relatively new.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you want to work with a high integrity organization, The String is the best company for you. They will deliver what you need, as long as you are informing them, communicating with them, and keeping them up to date.
