A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO and owner of a beverage-focused hospitality consultancy company. We started after the first wave of COVID-19 lockdowns in Europe to help restaurants perform as optimally as possible.
What challenge were you trying to address with Strike UX?
I was looking for a firm that could help me design my logo and take my brand online. I didn’t have the knowledge necessary to build a proper online presence for my business.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We worked together on social media management, web design, and logo creation. We discussed my business’ profile at length: our goals, our target audience, and our service offerings. From there, they designed the logo and built the website. They also helped me establish social media platforms to further showcase my expertise in the hospitality industry as well as establish my company’s brand identity.
What is the team composition?
I worked directly with Benjamin (Managing Director) and Anna (Co-Founder).
How did you come to work with Strike UX?
One of my contacts referred me to them. Their personal approach drew me to them. We’re both relatively new companies as well, which made me even more comfortable with the idea of working with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about £4,500 (approximately $6,000 USD) with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from July–September 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The hospitality sector is basically frozen at the moment, so it’s hard to truly measure their impact. From my perspective, though, I’m really happy with what they provided. All their deliverables are exactly in line with what I wanted. They were honest with me so that I’d be able to get the most out of the engagement. My Instagram page, in particular, has seen drastic improvements. External feedback about the business has been positive.
How did Strike UX perform from a project management standpoint?
From our first meeting, they were transparent about what they expected of me as well as what I could expect from them. Everything was delivered on time, and they were very responsive throughout the engagement regardless of the time of day. They exported their internal project management system to an Excel spreadsheet for me to make it as easy as possible for me to follow along with the progress and contribute.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They understood exactly what I wanted and translated that into a cohesive brand identity.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I was really happy with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you provide them with as much pertinent information as possible, they’ll have no issue realizing your vision. They’re very responsive and present.
The pandemic-related decline in the hospitality industry has made it hard to quantitatively measure the impact of the engagement. However, all of Strike UX’s deliverables have exactly fit the client’s desires and external feedback has been positive. They were transparent and responsive throughout.
