Food Delivery Mobile Application UI/UX Design
Project description
Roll Club is a local restaurant and food delivery. We designed a mobile application with the simplest order process and features which increased customer retention.
Project challenge
During the discovery phase, we discovered pain points in business processes and user needs. The main challenges were: - Simplifying ordering process; - Relieving company's call center; - Increasing customer retention.
Background information
The restaurant has more than 100 000 customers and about 1000 daily orders. Mainly orders are processed through the website and the call center.
UI/UX Design
1. Discovery Gathering all information about the current state of the restaurant, user needs, and pains. 2. User tests Testing all decisions with customers using interactive prototypes. 3. UI/UX Design Creating project architecture and designing user experience and interface. 4. Development & Testing Implementation of application functionality and integration with restaurant systems. USER RESEARCH We've collected quantitative data from customers to understand more their behavior and motives. It helped us to analyze the current user experience and build a better one. QUALITY INTERVIEW The best way to understand customers is to conduct interviews with them. In this way, we figured out the main pain points and needs. INFORMATION ARCHITECHTURE We’ve designed a horizontal architecture map, which allows users to get any page faster. Any item is available within 2-3 clicks, which makes it easier to navigate. THE EASIEST CHECKOUT PROCESS We made it possible for the fields to be auto-populated with previously saved data. This allows customers to confirm their subsequent orders easily and to minimize clarification calls from the call center. FINAL STATUSES SCREENS When the order is made, users receive different statuses. They will be able to see more information about their delivery process and courier tracking.

We created a design for a modern booking website that enables travellers to negotiate the price and hotel owners the ability to get new clients for the rooms which are empty.
Background
The brand new booking system. Book better quality housing with a cheaper price and negotiate the price with the property owner.

Design a modern booking website that enables travellers to negotiate the price and hotel owners the ability to get new clients for the rooms which are empty.
User Roles
We have designed two different interfaces and roles. We have traveller role interface, which provides possibilities to booking hotels and negotiate the price. And, we have made a hotel owner interface role, where the owner can manage its hotel and bookings.

Delivery Mobile Application UI/UX Design
Challenge
The main goal was to design an application for delivery of any parcel. This application should be easy for users and allow them to create an order very quickly. There should be a tracking of user parcel and orders history.
Solution
Our solution was to create one screen order process, where user can choose and select any options and settings related to their order. User can see what the final price is and how it changes depends on settings changes.
Locations
Application determinate your location automatically, you only need to choose a pickup location. The system predicts an estimation of your road and shows user final delivery time.

Onboarding -> Type of Delivery (Receive) -> Pickup place (GPS/Manually) -> Type of Time (Express) -> Parcel weight -> Parcel size -> Notes -> Summary details -> Payment method

For what projects/services did your company hire Step to Dream?
We wanted to improve the UX on our platform to make it as intuitive and easy to use as possible.
How did you select this vendor?
We discussed the project with a lot of vendors. Step to Dream really felt like the best fit, they took the time to understand the brief and had worked on similar projects in the past.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
After a few discovery sessions, the team went away and came back with their suggestions. Initially researching best practices and showing us their suggested wireframes we made revisions together before moving on to designs. The team the produced interactive prototypes for the designs and gave us bespoke user flows on request. The designs then went to our development team who asked any necessary questions. These were answered straight away and any updates needed made extremely quickly.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with 3 of the team directly but there were inputs for various other members of their team.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We are yet to launch the new design but initial feedback is excellent. The system looks must more user friendly, intuitive and up to date.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Sergey, Marina and the team were excellent throughout the project. They took the time to discuss and explain any relevant points. Work was delivered when expected and to an extremely high standard. The team were always on hand to answer any questions along the way.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The team really seemed to spend the time to understand the project, our requirements and our needs. They gave a clear explanation of decisions made which gave us confidence that we were going in the right direction.

For what projects/services did your company hire Step to Dream?
We needed someone to design our initial UI utilizing Figma. Step to Dream exceeded expectations by not only doing an amazing job with the platform UI, but also produced all necessary flow charts and developer notes.
How did you select this vendor?
We had shortlisted 3 vendors, and Sergey blew us away with his pre-project work, attention to detail, and vision on how to take our product to the next level.

Our goal was to create a fully interactive model of our desired UI within Figma. We started off with an idea board, where we conceptualized the ideas and flow. From there we developed wireframes, which eventually were styled to perfection.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked directly with their CEO. He made us a priority.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We have an amazing UI that has received rave reviews from outside investors. They were able to create a product that was able to humanize our vision. Their end result has also been able to convey our vision to our back-end development team.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It was great. We utilized multiple easy-to-use tools and resources to develop the workload pipeline as well as feedback mechanisms. We had bi-weekly stand-up calls to review open items and discuss the project schedule. They were always responsive whenever we emailed, posted or messaged them.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their willingness to think outside the box about how UI is trending is impressive, and position us with an end result that has exceeded our expectations.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
There is nothing that comes to mind of which they could have done differently. I wish I would have backfilled them with more details prior to kicking the project off.
Though the new design has not yet been debuted to users, the clients are very pleased with the update. Step to Dream delivered their work on time and to a high standard of quality. They were responsive, took the time to understand the client's goals, and promptly answered all of their questions.
