he goal of a Tin Hearts 2 project is to release this masterpice puzzle game for 11 platforms and give for players the best game experience in any of them. That's why we got an important mission - make a cutting edge Build System to deploy a project for different platforms, but keep in-game content as a single instance to give an ability for artists, level designers work on same instance of stuff for any platform. Important to say that these 11 platforms include high end and low end platforms in terms of performance. Just imagine the difference between Oculus Rift and Nintendo Switch... the hardware performance, input system (vr/non-vr), platform requirements.
Build System made of few parts: special objects setup in a scenes, additional build steps to prepare, customize, optimize in-game content for a build for separate platform and CI/CD flow to make automatic builds. Stan’s Assets from KAPPS was already known in our studio for their high quality tools on the Unity Asset Store, which we were already using. After an interview with founder and then with the rest of the team, it was clear for us that they will be a great fit. Good communication, highly professional and proactive attitude and adequate rates.

Unity3D game development, both supporting and improving projects already deployed and also engineering new products. They allocated 3-5 persons, from Unity developers, Lead developer, QA and Project Management for a better team integration.

After discussing our needs with a founder, they sent us CVs of current team members who fulfilled our requirements and some meetings with the team were conducted.

We’ve been able to release our developments in new markets in few weeks, and include in our development roadmap new products that we could never conceive without their help. Due the successful outcomes, our plans for this collaboration are still to keep it in the long-term.

The team dedicates enough time to understand requirements and expected deliverables and they are always looking for doing the extra mile for excellence. Managing remote teams is always challenging, but their approach of frequent communications and updates, made this process painless and smooth.

Overall we feel this collaboration as an extension of our team. Their effort to provide better value instead of only focusing on fulfilling requirements lists is impressive.

The interview process was good, the candidate briefs very legible and expressive, and the quality of candidates was very good. Among the two companies we contracted with, there are no complaints whatsoever about the staff provided by Stan's Assets, which is why we regularly explore new opportunities with them.

We develop a large multi-player online grand strategy game with blockchain connections. While the design and development is controlled by MoonGaming and MoonTech, we work with developers from Stan's Assets to make this a reality.
The project has, after about 6 months of development and some prototyping, hit an important MVP milestone with the public launch of NFT Lands being sold, and a interactive online map (using the Unity3D game client) whose visuals and functionality were strongly influenced with key contributions from Stan's Assets Staff.

We currently worked with 2 of their developers, and are in the process of contracting them for a Senior QA Analyst & Manager.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Visual Quality of the Game so far is very good, especially the Clouds, the Oceans, and Showroom Video show technical Artist Artem H.'s great skill. The WebGL Showroom, the client data layer as well as the loading and reloading of the data was implemented by developer Evgeny T., who played a crucial role in building these, all the way from proof of concept to final solution.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
While there are some language barriers, the developers are fully integrated into our team and participate in daily business as usual, including stand-ups, retrospectives, planning, and team discussions.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The incredible friendliness and professionalism even when we as a client were undecided for a while; and the casual way they have been repeatedly showing us top tier candidates that matched our job descriptions almost perfectly; even if we were unsuccessful in finding such candidates at all using our internal recruiters.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
If we can find a way to offer language classes or shared communications coaching for their developers, this would facilitate better and faster onboarding of new candidates. They initially had a bit of a hard time, even though their English skills, especially paired with their strong technical skills and pragmatic work approach, were more than sufficient.

Not only were KAPPS required to deliver Quest applications, they have also created mobile applications based in Unity and WebGL applications. There understanding of good coding practice, ability to code and design skills are second to none

KAPPS provide a flexible framework, so we can scale up resources or downscale dependent on the workload.

KAPPS developed high quality mobile apps and WebGL experience for the same mobile apps. They did this in fast time and these apps are now being used by our client and their clients without problems. The VR experiences developed show beautiful design and are build on our clients framework, which showed the ability of the KAPPS teams to be able work closely with their clients to get the job done. Feedback from the client has been extremely positive and we are continuing to grow the work they require from us and the KAPPS team.

Project management is of an AGILE nature, essentially fitting into weekly sprints. We use SLACK for managing communication between us and KAPPS. When KAPPS say they are going to do something it's done. They are good at reaching out and communicating with us and the client when they need to and are always there to answer questions or provide advice when needed. Outstanding service!

There were different stages of development. Almost all of the animations (until 1.6.) were done by Stans Assets. Also two out of three minigames were done by them.
