I am Adam Lancaster, Office Manager of the Sophie Lancaster Foundation. My main aim through the foundation is to raise awareness of how damaging hate crime is and its impact on victims and their communities.
For what projects/services did your company hire SQ Digital?
I decided to work with SQ Digital to create a functional website to help create a space for the foundation. SQ also helped us with technical aspects such as email domain transfers and website hosting.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I chose SQ Digital due to their empathy; the foundation covers sensitive topics that the agency was already aware of upon my first contact with them. Also, during the proposal process, the team couldn't do enough for me and were always quick to communicate, helpful and flexible. This suited me being so busy.

We gave SQ Digital the brief to create a website for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation. They contacted us to get to know the business and our goals, and we then discussed how the site would look and function. Throughout the website product, the team would communicate with us regularly, and we supplied the content to be used on the site. In addition, the team showed us visuals needing approval and provided 1 to 1 training sessions to get to know the management system used to build the site and update this when required.

We initially worked with Tony to communicate our goals and a brief for the website; this was then thoroughly communicated to Richard, who helped guide us through the design and development of the site. In addition to Richard, we were in regular contact with James too.

The website is now live, and the project is completed. I'm pleased with the outcome of the site, SQ even provided us with some 1 to 1 training and I feel comfortable making adjustments to the site as needed moving forward.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow worked well, we were in contact often, and everything seemed to be completed in a timely manner. Everything SQ needed from me, they highlighted, and we worked together to get the project completed.

We needed a new website creating, making it easy for users to access various areas of the site. In addition, we needed a site that was up to date and worked seamlessly on modern devices. Our goal was to have a website that was user-friendly and provided a community feel for the visitors.

We initially approached SQ Digital as they were local to the area, and we had heard good recommendations from other companies locally. When we first reached out, the team was all really helpful and transparent, making us feel very comfortable selecting them to help with our website project.

We first worked with SQ Digital around six years ago when they developed our initial website. We wanted to update the existing website during this project so that it was more friendly across various devices. SQ started from the design stage of the site, making sure that the site could house all of the information and pages we required and more technical aspects such as WordPress plugins to make sure the site ran as smoothly as possible. Throughout the project, they communicated with us, ensuring we knew what was happening and what they needed from us at all times. At the end of the project, they provided us with one to one training to help us use the site moving forward.

Tony, the Head of Business Development worked with us in the initial proposal process, we were then handed over to the dnd team where we worked with James, the Project Manager and Richard the Design and Development Manager.

Our new website project is now up and running. We're all delighted with the functionality of the new site. It hits all of the objectives we discussed in the initial brief stages.

The main goal for this project was to increase my online presence, in turn increasing sales of online piano lessons through my new website.

I wanted to work with an agency that I could trust. Upon initial contact, the team was friendly and took the time to get to know me and the project ahead; they truly understood my needs before any work commenced. The project initially involved creating a new website for my online piano lessons. This website had to be visually appealing and provide a good user experience to the customer, and house an easy-to-use ‘call to action’ for the customer to get in touch. The project started with the sales team, where the work was agreed upon. Soon after this, the site's work commenced after I was introduced to the web design team, who had continued contact with me throughout the whole experience. The team worked with me to create a visually appealing website with all the information and content that I provided them with. This started with templates and then continued to the entire site build. Before going live, we tested the site, and the team at SQ provided training on the site for future content edits. The ongoing project was to assess and improve the online presence of The Piano Studio through digital marketing. The SQ Digital team are great at communicating, and I receive regular updates regarding my site's performance. The team now work on SEO and PPC for The Piano Studio monthly and are always looking for ways to improve.
What was the team composition?
At the start of the project, I worked mainly with Tony, SQ's Business Development Manager. I then worked with James, the Project Manager and Richard, the Web Designer. After the website was created and we moved onto the digital marketing aspects of this project, I was put in touch with my Account Manager Andy, who keeps me up to date. All members of the team kept in regular contact with me throughout both sides of this project.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The new website is now live, and I am so pleased with the site's final look and feel. It's also visible that the SEO is carried out by SQ Digital is making an impact on my enquiries. My website now appears on the first page of Google Search for many of the key terms outlined at the start of this project. PPC has also been very impactful for my business. Traffic from both organic and paid sources has increased dramatically to my site. I have also seen a significant increase in the number of enquiries I am receiving through my website.

The communication with SQ Digital is always fantastic. Throughout every step of my project, we have been in contact. The team always take on board any comments or queries that I have. I feel that SQ is an extension of my team rather than an external agency.

SQ Digital first created a brand-new bespoke website that allowed us to showcase our services, increase traffic to the website, and bring in more high quality and more relevant leads. The team then carried out extensive SEO on the website, highlighting the most relevant keywords for our services to drive more organic traffic to the site and get our site ranking on the first page of Google.
Once the website was up and running, SQ implemented an organic SEO campaign, alongside a high-quality content marketing strategy, to achieve excellent organic results. Over the years, SEO, content marketing and social media campaigns have strengthened brand awareness within the manufacturing industry. Most recently, the team have also created a PPC campaign for us to help drive more leads.

We first approached SQ Digital at the beginning of 2020 after receiving a recommendation from one of their clients. We were looking for a full-service digital marketing agency that could create and implement a more consistent, joined-up marketing strategy to drive sales.
What were your goals for this project?
Until working with SQ, marketing for Merritts for Hair was being handled in-house, with our PPC and SEO delivered by two separate companies. It was often unfortunately sporadic and inconsistent - primarily due to time restrictions and communication. When coming on board with SQ, our primary goal was to increase our digital marketing efforts by creating more unified campaigns that include all digital disciplines.

I am the General Manager of The Royal Hotel & Bar, a family-run 14 bedroom hotel, bar and kitchen in the heart of Lancaster, England. Established in 2016, the small, close-knit team at The Royal welcome a wide range of customers, both local and visitors from all over the world.
For what projects/services did your company hire SQ Digital?
The original website for The Royal had not been updated since 2016, during which time the business has grown and undergone substantial change.
SQ Digital were hired to rebuild our website with an aim to update it visually, provide a cleaner, easy to navigate front end for our customers and a more flexible, easy to edit back end that was simple to update by in house.
What were your goals for this project?
The constantly changing restrictions relevant to our industry as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, which we were required to relay to our customers, really highlighted how outdated our business website had become.
It was a struggle to concisely convey information to customers. Alongside a visual facelift, the main goal was to create something that could be easily and cleanly edited to provide visitors with the most up to date information regarding The Royal and provide a platform for us to show how the business is growing.
How did you select SQ Digital?
I reached out to a number of local web design companies at the start of this project. SQ Digital stood out for a number of reasons;
They were quick to respond and produce a thorough, detailed proposal after discussing our needs, and they didn't vilify other web design companies in an effort to make themselves seem like the more attractive option, which seemed to be a reoccurring theme with other companies.
Perhaps most importantly, they didn't try and push any features on me that I hadn't asked for, which again, was something I experienced quite heavily with other companies I reached out to.
There was an immediate understanding that SQ Digital were going to work with me rather than just telling me what they thought would be best for our business.
Describe the project in detail.
It was agreed in late December 2020 that SQ Digital should take on the project, and work began on the website rebuild in early January 2021 after the Christmas break. I initially had conversations with Tony, our Business Development Manager at SQ Digital, in which we discussed what we were looking to achieve.
Tony explained the process and who I would be working with. I was then introduced to Richard, the head designer to begin work on the website build. All correspondences were remote, either through emails or Microsoft Teams at a time that was convenient for me.
The Teams video calls were incredibly useful as we were able to discuss and see changes in real-time using screen share. I provided up to date images, colour ideas, and all the relevant information required to connect customers to platforms like our social media, restaurant and hotel bookings systems.
Richard took all the information I gave him and turned it into something tangible. I was given the opportunity to offer feedback regularly and changes were implemented swiftly.
Once the redesign was complete, we had a brief training session with Richard, who was able to explain the updated back end of WordPress to someone with a modest amount of website editing experience, and someone with no website editing experience, at the same time.
The new website went live at the beginning of March 2021, with the whole project taking two months to complete.
It should be noted at this point that this was a rebuild of an existing website, with a lot of content being pulled over from the old website, so I cannot comment on how long it would take to build from scratch, but I was very happy with the time it took us to get from the proposal to completion on this particular project.
What was the team composition?
Initially, I worked with Tony, the Business Development Manager before being passed on to James, the Project Manager and finally, Richard the designer. I spoke regularly with all three members of the team who worked on the project, either via email, phone or video call.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Since businesses like The Royal are currently closed or working under heavy Covid-19 restrictions, it's hard to offer any numerical feedback on website traffic, however, having worked with the new website for a few weeks now, it is abundantly obvious that information is being presented to future customers effectively and clearly, which was our main goal for this project.
Feedback from the Directors has been overwhelmingly positive, and I feel confident that as we move closer towards reopening The Royal fully, we're doing so with a website that really compliments our business, and is providing us with the platform we need to communicate to customers what they should expect from us.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
There was a constant flow of communication between myself and the member of the SQ Digital team that was handling the project at different stages. I never had to pester them.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Above being able to design an attractive website, well-functioning website; I was most impressed with the high standard of customer service and professionalism from SQ Digital.

We have been working with SQ Digital for over 5 years. They take care of our website’s SEO and general maintenance of the site. They also take care of our social media channels.
What were your goals for this project?
Our main goal was to boost our overall revenue by using the website to drive more footfall into our physical showroom and having more of an online presence. This was to make sure that we were being discovered in the local areas, both on Google and also across social media channels.
How did you select SQ Digital?
We did some research into a few digital marketing companies in the surrounding areas as we wanted to work with a local company. SQ digital were the best fit for us and was even better that they are based in Lancaster which isn’t too far from us.

For the past 5 years, SQ digital have been delivering a successful SEO, Content Marketing and Social Media strategy for us.
The SEO/Content strategy has meant that more organic traffic has been driven to the site and the social media has massively helped with increasing brand awareness.
What was the team composition?
I have one main point of contact who is my account manager, who is always available when needed. There is also a wider team of specialists such as the SEO and Content team who work on the site every month, who are also on hand to answer any technical SEO questions.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The digital marketing strategy that they have been carrying out over the last 5 years has been successful in building an online presence for Rockform.
We remain in high positions on Google for important and relevant key phrases and the blog content that the team write for our site is always informative and well written.
We have definitely noticed a huge increase in footfall into the showroom and also online enquiries over the years.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The communication is always excellent and if we have any questions or need any support, they are always quick to get back to us with a solution. They will also always explain anything that’s too technical in simple terms, which is helpful to us.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They are always thinking of new ways and ideas to improve our business. If something isn’t working, they will always come up with some new and better solutions. We find SQ very valuable to us.

Banks Lyon Jewellers have been working with SQ digital since 2000. Throughout the past 20 years, a strong and successful working relationship has been built. SQ Digital approached the business back in 2000 when Banks Lyon Jewellers at this time only had a single-page website in order to further promote the business.
They came to us with a strategy that would enhance and establish an online presence and would help to generate further success for the business. SQ Digital have continued to evolve the original one-page website into a bespoke and fully responsive e-commerce platform, which now displays thousands of products.
What were your goals for this project?
The main goal has not changed throughout the 20 years Banks Lyon has worked with SQ Digital, which is to have a successful and established online presence and strong brand identity that encourages conversions and sales both online and in-store.
We wanted a website that would visually display our vast range of luxury brands and products; whilst also driving more people into our physical store situated on the high street in the heart of Lancaster City Centre.
We wanted to establish Banks Lyon as a luxury watch and jewellery stockist online, by increasing brand awareness and targeting an audience that our extensive luxury product offering would appeal to; by driving traffic to the website and sustaining high positions in Google for our key phrases.
How did you select SQ Digital?
Rodney Banks-Lyon (Owner) clarified that his relationship with SQ Digital began just as the internet was starting up, therefore there was very limited knowledge of the internet.
He has said that when they were approached by one of the directors from SQ Digital, he was highly impressed with his forward-thinking, SEO knowledge and technical understanding of commerce and knew straight away that they would be able to make a difference.

SQ Digital have been developing and improving the Banks Lyon website for over 20 years now. In order to get us to the successful position that the business can be seen in today, combined with ongoing website design and development, SQ Digital have continued to provide us with a comprehensive digital marketing strategy.
The marketing strategy put in place was to create a strong brand identity for the Banks Lyon brand both locally, nationally, and internationally; whilst conveying this consistent brand message across all possible customer touchpoints in order to deliver results and increase revenue.
The digital strategy included Organic SEO, Content marketing, Social Media and PPC. A robust SEO campaign was put in place in order to drive new visitors to the site by improving keyword positions for our key phrases on Google.
This was complemented by an extensive paid media strategy which encompasses Google Ads, Google remarketing, Facebook, and Instagram advertising. Alongside this SQ Digital have provided consistently unique and high-quality content with the intent to attract our luxury target market across all digital platforms.
What was the team composition?
We have always worked with the Director of the company as we have formed such a good understanding over the years, he is supported by an extremely talented and professional team who look after us on a day to day basis.
We have a dedicated account manager and a digital marketing and web team that plan monthly campaigns with our input and then deliver it in a timely manner.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The success of our online business is, to a very large extent, down to what the SQ Digital team do for us and the website has been fundamental to the success of the business. The strategic approach that has been taken to create and promote a strong brand identity for Banks Lyon, continues to deliver successful results.
Our success has allowed the business to grow by enabling us to open a second store on the high street in Kendal and has also assisted us in securing relationships with a number of luxury brands internationally.
The successful SEO strategy put in place has resulted in seeing the Banks Lyon website appearing on the first page of Google for the majority of our key phrases and continues to drive thousands of new visitors to the site every month.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow is very good, its agile and they use some excellent online tools to help with communication and we can always see where we are with certain tasks or wider projects.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The team are knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable and they continue to add real value to the business on a day to day basis with innovative ideas and new suggestions to keep on improving the business and its success.

What were your goals for this project?
Initially SQ came recommended to us and although we had a small in-house marketing team at the time, we felt it important to add some outside experience and expertise to our overall marketing strategy.
We wanted to improve SEO rankings, increase traffic and ultimately make the brand better known and generate more leads. In the last few months, as the business has evolved, SQ have started to play an even more integral role in our overall marketing strategy and delivery.
How did you select SQ Digital?
They came highly recommended to us, so we opened discussions with them. We were impressed with their whole approach from the start, so we appointed them. That was 2 years ago now and we’re really pleased with the service and results we receive.

SQ manage all aspects of our digital marketing; blog writing, email marketing, PPC, social media, digital PR, website management, marketing strategy and process. SQ have become an integral part of the team.
What was the team composition?
At SQ we have our Account Manager Andy, who is on hand when we need him. We have weekly calls and he also attends our monthly board meetings. Andy is supported by a comprehensive in-house digital marketing team who cover every aspect of our requirements; they don’t outsource anything which is a big plus for us as they all get to know our business really well.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our Google rankings have never been higher. When we first started, we didn’t rank at all for many of our key terms. Now we are on the first page of search results for most of our key terms and rank number 1 for many of them.
This has had a great impact on our web traffic too which is also at record high levels. Since SQ have managed our email marketing we have seen click rates go from around 3% to 13% for our cold prospect lists.
They write a lot of blog content for us every month, and the quality has been consistently very good. They are able to tackle complex finance topics with ease and we rarely have to change content that they write. It has helped build our reputation in the industry as a thought leader and our blogs attract a lot of traffic, and also some good PR coverage.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We have a good working relationship and a good understanding of how each other works. They are available when we need them, and I think they find a good balance between longer term planning and reacting quickly to events.
They are very pro-active too and are good at suggesting new ideas and ways of doing things. It is exactly what we need as it allows us to concentrate on other parts of the business.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I would say their communication and their ideas. We don’t have a lot of in-house marketing resource, so we rely on them as an integral part of our operation. They are available, responsive and creative. It is exactly what we need and I am always confident that we can rely on SQ.

I am the Co-Founder and Managing Director at ROCCIA, which was established in 1994 (originally Tile Mart) and is the UK’s largest tile, bath, and kitchen showroom with over 20,000 square feet of showroom space; showcasing the most comprehensive range of luxury brands in Europe.
We are an award-winning family business with our most recent achievement being the prestigious BIBAs ‘Business of the Year’ 2019 award at the Lancashire and North West Business Awards (Be Inspired Business Awards).
For what projects/services did your company hire SQ Digital?
After establishing Tile Mart as a successful Tile & Bathroom showroom, we were looking to capture more people and customers from around the North West. In order to so this, we needed to establish Tile Mart online, which is why we approached SQ Digital back in 2014.
We needed them to help us increase brand awareness and establish an online presence that would increase customer acquisition. They created a website for us and established a successful online presence for Tile mart through SEO and PPC.
As our business strategy changed, SQ Digital assisted us throughout the transition of Tile Mart into Roccia. Tile Mart was re-branded as Roccia, which was part of our new strategy that would focus on the more luxury lifestyle segment of the market.
What were your goals for this project?
Back in 2014, we did not have an online presence, therefore our main goal was to get the website up and running and with the help of SQ Digital, to establish the business online and then later on, to transition to a bigger and better brand with a bigger and better website.
Following a change in strategy, we needed a complete website re-brand that would reflect and promote the high-end service we provide and that would showcase our great luxury product offering.
We asked SQ Digital to design and develop a website that would operate as an online showroom focusing on the luxury lifestyle target market; visually showcasing our vast range of Tiles and Bathrooms and driving more people into our physical showroom.
Whilst helping us meet these new business goals, we also needed to make sure that our keyword rankings that SQ Digital had already achieved and had great success for Tile Mart, remained in top positions in Google rankings.

SQ Digital were referred to us by a business contact, who came with glowing recommendations for the marketing agency.
Not only did they have a fantastic reputation, but we were also really impressed with the companies they had worked with and the long-lasting relationships they had with them.

SQ Digital have been involved in 4 website developments since 2014, which have all constantly performed for SEO, PPC, Content and Social Media marketing. This success has meant that we have been able to invest more into our website over time, which continues to get bigger and better.
Our main focus during the period of transition was to increase brand awareness of the luxury Roccia brand whilst making sure that our key brand values of being a family run business were not forfeited.
A national and geographic-specific PPC campaign was introduced to help us advertise the brand and to try and capture the new market we were entering.
SQ Digital also provided a content marketing strategy that promoted the Roccia brand to its new target audience such as those with a more luxury lifestyle and higher disposable incomes.
They presented informative and high-quality interior design related pieces of content that would attract the audience we were looking for and also carried out a successful PR campaign to increase brand awareness in the local and surrounding areas.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Following the re-branding from Tile Mart to the Roccia website, SQ digital successfully carried out an extensive SEO transfer to the new site; making sure we did not lose our keyword positions in Google.
The website transition could not have gone more smoothly, and we were able to keep 100% retention of our domain authority and rankings, and in some cases we actually saw some improvements in rankings following the transition, which we were extremely pleased with.
They provide us with a full digital marketing strategy and are constantly introducing and trying out new ideas in order to remain competitive, boost brand awareness, increase customer engagement and increase leads.
They work hard to ensure that our organic search campaign continues to provide excellent results and our keywords remain in top positions. We have worked with SQ Digital for many years now and the service that they provide continues to deliver fantastic results.
As a measure of success, we have people visiting our physical showrooms daily saying that they found us through the website. This increase in demand due to the success of the website has enabled us to massively develop and expand the business.
Earlier in the year, we carried out a huge development on our Preston showroom which expanded the shop floor space from 27,000 square feet to 38,500 square feet, which has allowed us to expand our product offering to include an extensive and exclusive kitchen range that incorporates furniture, appliances, worktops, sinks and accessories.
