Please describe your company and your position there.

We are transfer technology company with the aim of promoting collaborations between research and business world. We offer support for companies of any size for projects development in the R&D field and innovative solutions to overcome the innovation challenge. I'm CEO of company.

For what projects/services did your company hire Sparky solution?

Our goal was to create AI enhanced application capable of analyzing vast amounts of textual documents coming from various sources. Our AI text analytics includes case studies like sentiment analysis, emotion analysis, topic extraction, entity extraction, language detection, fake news detection and others.

What were your goals for this project?

Goal was to create application that utilize both vast amount of data coming from various source and AI generated features and insight from those datasets. We needed end to end solution from data ingestion, data preparation, AI, data visualization and application as final output of entire project.

How did you select Sparky solution?

We worked before on smaller project with Sparky and since we knew that they can deliver this particular project thanks to their prior project references and scientific papers and work in this area.

Describe the project in detail.

We came to Sparky with our initial specification and our desired outcomes and they contacted us back with their proposal of both data architecture and initial version of application design. We where very happy with presented results and we agreed to continue our work.

During project development we were involved in entire process since entire process was agile and we could see first results really soon and track entire project progress over time which was beneficial for both sides. Final application was then extensively tested and final tweeks where performed. Sparky had proactive role of suggesting some additional features that could help us further enrich entire process and we were very happy with that approach.

What was the team composition?

There was project manager, 2 data scientist, 2 developers for application, 1 tester. Data scientist where responsible for data science and AI work, developers where responsible for back-end and front-end (1+1) and there was 1 tester. Project manager was there to coordinate their work and communicate results with us.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This complex project had many elements that are interconnected and they all affect final product which is application. Application was designed very intuitively and everything was done automatically in the background where only final visualizations, metrics, KPIs were presented to end users together with configuration options.

This is part where we could see entire process on one place since all metrics generated by AI and data science were used for data visualizations. This helped us enormously in our insight understanding and business utilization.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We where very happy with communication and work between teams since we didn't have any complaints on both sides and everything was done on time.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Definitely, that was their set of skills and expertise in data science and AI area which was crucial for this project and its success. Even though this project had complex data architecture to cope with vast amount of data and utilization of AI we didn't had any difficulties in meeting deadlines and quality of final output was exceptional. We would definitely recommend Sparky for data science solutions development.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We where involved in entire process and made decisions together. This approach gave us flexibility to cope with potential problems during development and in the future of this project. So we don't think that something needs to be done differently especially since we plan to work together in future where we can again together work on potential challenges.
