We hired SOFTUUP to help us build AR mobile app for one of our recent clients. We have already conducted a Discovery Stage & prepared designs for the app, but due to numerous ongoing projects, we passed the app’s development to SOFTUUP.

Overall, our client needed an Android/iOS application with an augmented reality experience. Since it was a pilot, our main goal was also to make sure the app conveys the client’s vision and message to the users through its designs and is as user-friendly as possible.

We were assigned a project manager who took care of the app’s requirements and their completion during the entire project. We were also regularly communicated with their CTO about various proposals and feedback sessions.

The client has just launched the pilot and received an amazing response for the app so far. The users are finding it user-friendly, interesting, and informative.

It is very comfortable to work with the softuup team, they take over the entire development cycle and do not ask unnecessary questions. We were most impressed that the team quickly and professionally handles unforeseen difficulties and offers different solutions.

• created a slider with custom effects on the home page with the ability to display videos

The result of the project was an iOS/Android MVP application that contains 2 trained neural networks that work together on one device. SOFTUUP team focused on the core task of the application, optimized it to such indicators:

• 0.3 seconds for a full scan of the human skeleton
• 0.2 seconds for clothes matching.

From the beginning the first thing we noticed was positive and supportive communication. It continued to be that way during the entire development stage. They really paid close attention to our words.

SOFTUUP didn’t just proceed with the specs we gave them, but dived deeper into the project's idea first and provided us with several hints on how to improve, which turned out to be surprisingly valuable.

The main keys of success for us are that high quality projects were developed well and everything was delivered on time.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had meetings with the team in different messengers like Skype, Slack and over task managers such as Jira and Clickup. It was easy to reach them when any questions appeared from our side. They react fast and respond quickly.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The team is very strong in terms of researching different technical fields, they have wide expertise in AR approaches and game design. Every team member dives in the projects quickly and professionally follows the client's needs.

The workflow is always well-organised. We still work with them in web and AR development.

We needed a solution to create a park of reviving sculptures in Bila Tserkva. Objective: to revive real sculptures in augmented reality, to organize interactive interaction.

The team won our urban hackathon and city representatives, together with international experts, chose their solution among all the proposed ones, as the best for implementation. The following criteria were important for making a decision: idea, technology, experience and competence of team members, timing and cost.

During the project team had to come up with creavite concept of implementing additional exerinces using augmented reality working together with symposium curators. Resut of the project was an iOS/Android application which contains 5 AR expereinces which work together with sculptures.

In addition to augmented reality, the application contains information about the author and the idea of sculpture, as well as audio explanations made by the artists, thus fulfilling an educational function of the experience. Key deliverables: they focused on core values, evoke strong emotions, presented a surpassing all the expectations project, achieved the “Wow” effect.

The admin panel for changing/updating of application content was provided so it is possible to change the application info and images at any time. Technologies used: Unity3D, Vuforia, AR Core, ARKit, Flutter, Vue.js, PHP, MongoDB

I’m the project manager at Indium Lab, an AR/VR development studio.

I needed someone to help develop our platform because we didn’t have the specialists in-house. It was a big project.

They helped with developing a large web app/platform for one of our clients.

We started with one person and later added a second person for specific tasks.

We worked together from December 2019 until February 2020.

It was a quite difficult task. They made everything really professional. Everything was done correctly. The platform is always working. I don’t know any KPIs or results but everybody is satisfied.

It was easy to communicate with them. We communicated via Skype and Telegram. There were several project managers, including one on SOFTUUP, LLCs side, our client’s side, and I was the project manager from our side. We worked in Jira and had a weekly Skype call.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their prices are very good. When we needed to estimate some tasks, obtain some reports, or were working in different time zones, they answer very quickly. They could arrange a Skype call when it was very late here in Ukraine. It was very easy to communicate with them. They were very responsive and professional. They do anything the project manager says to do.

Everything I asked of them, they had specialists for. They have a big team. There’s nothing I’d have them improve.
