We were using LIMS (laboratory information management system) for testing and sample tracking which all employees can access in network only and we faced difficulty always as we required VPN for it in our branches at different location.

We required web based sample tracking system which can be accessed from any where. We needed the same system and we are happy that we developed it with this vendor.

Project is Simple Tracking System that supports a modern laboratory operations and to effectively manage samples and associated data. By using it, our lab can automate workflows, integrate instruments, and manage samples and associated information. Additionally we can produce reliable results more quickly and can track data from sequencing runs over time and across experiments to improve efficiency.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO and founder of a dog food company.


What challenge were you trying to address with Softpers Interactive?

I was looking for a way to customize dog food based on age, weight, breed, activity level, and body type, for online customers.


What was the scope of their involvement?

I first presented them with some fundamental requirements. Using those, Atif (Co-Founder, Softpers Interactive) developed an e-commerce website and integrated the customization algorithm. He also built out the subscription management platform that it’s linked to. The team utilized PHP to code for the backend.

What is the team composition?

Atif was my main point of contact, but he may have distributed some of the work to his team.

How did you come to work with Softpers Interactive?

I found them through a freelancing platform.

How much have you invested with them?

I spent less than $5000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began in April 2018 and they provide ongoing support. He’s always available to assist with any issues.


What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

His work had a critical impact on my business which hinged upon the customers’ ability to customize their dog food. He was able to implement excellent functionalities at an extremely cost-effective rate. What he was able to do would have cost me 10–15 times more with any other developer. And, the users would not be able to tell the difference.

He was able to deliver creative solutions to problems, and also deal with an intense timeline. Since he’s been so great to work with, he’s become my go-to guy for all development tasks.

How did Softpers Interactive perform from a project management standpoint?

He was capable of delivering under a tight deadline.  He’s also very easy to communicate with and there were almost no issues despite the language barrier. We used Google Sheets to coordinate tasks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Compared to previous developers that I’ve worked with, he followed through with all of his promises. In that sense, working with him has been amazing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything. I’ve been impressed by all that he’s delivered. I’ll definitely continue to rely on him.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be detailed in communicating your requirements, so you can give him all the tools he needs to execute. That clarity enables him to do the best work that he can.
