I’m the legal director of a nonprofit organization called PARS Equality Center.
What challenges were you trying to address with SocialSellinator?
We received funding from the government to assist with the 2020 Census. We wanted to encourage as many community members as possible to participate in the Census.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They ran a paid advertising campaign for us to encourage participation in the Census. They produced content with us collaboratively. We used Facebook. Their team sent us a questionnaire so we could work out who our target audience was. We continued to focus our work based on who we needed to reach.
What is the team composition?
I don’t know who was working behind the scenes, but my direct point of contact was Jock (Advisor).
How did you come to work with SocialSellinator?
We worked with them indirectly for our 2018 Citizenship Day that we did in partnership with Santa Clara County. The lead agency hired them for that project which is how we found out about them.
How much have you invested in them?
We spent a little less than $8,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2020, and we just wrapped up at the end of May 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
There were about 304 different ad variations. We had over 12,000 link clicks and over 600,000 impressions. The landing page views were also impressive.
How did SocialSellinator perform from a project management standpoint?
Initially, we had some trouble with how Facebook handled the campaign. However, after that initial hiccup, everything went smoothly. They were very responsive and provided us with monthly reports.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I liked how hands-on Jock was, and that their office was just a few blocks away. The team was personable, easy-going, and efficient. We had a great experience working with them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
If they had communicated more immediately about the Facebook campaign issue, that would’ve been nice.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Just make sure that you have them look at your Facebook page prior to launching the campaign so that they can make sure it is properly set up.

SocialSellinator produces a range of content for social media posts on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. They provide content strategy, development, and copywriting. They also manage the post-approval process.
What is the team composition?
I work with their founders, Katja and Jock, but they have 4–5 others working on the account as well.
How did you come to work with SocialSellinator?
I knew Jock from some of the previous work he'd produced for a competitor. After I met with him, and he walked me through his approach, I thought he was very competent in his field.
How much have you invested with them?
We invest about $3,000 per month, so we've probably spent about $20,000 in total thus far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We've been working with him since Fall 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
SocialSellinator significantly increased our social media presence and the variety of our content, increasing the number of followers we have in the process. They've successfully increased engagement and boosted our following online overall.
How did SocialSellinatorperform from a project management standpoint?
They perform decently from a project management standpoint. We tweak the process as time goes on to continuously improve the relationship. They've set up a tool to quickly facilitate approvals for social media posts, which works well for our team. We also have weekly calls with their team, and they provide monthly reports of their work.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Once the contract was signed, they were very quick to hit the ground running. They've also been flexible, accommodating, and ready to adapt to any changes we've requested.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Some of their visual creative work and editorial strategy wasn't up to par in the beginning. They were quick to make adjustments to their standards once we provided them with more detailed technical guidance.

I’m the CEO of Rainmakers, a communications consultancy.
What challenge were you trying to address with SocialSellinator?
We needed someone to help us with sales enablement using social media tools.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They help sales teams drive business engagement sales enablement through social media, and they’re very good at it. Their senior staff has deep domain experience in different industry sections and segments, so the whole process is fast-tracked. They understand how to make the sales enablement elements that they drive to integrate with the rest of the program.
They provide a LinkedIn service for us. They look at ways to connect with organizations through LinkedIn. They look for the right kind of audiences and individuals to connect with and then find meaningful ways to connect with them. Sometimes it’s with content, and sometimes it’s with direct engagement.
What is the team composition?
I work with one business leader and one subject matter expert around sales enablement using LinkedIn.
How did you come to work with SocialSellinator?
I had seen them through social channels, and I had a chat with their business leader. It was obvious they had all the right digital skills, but more importantly, the business skills; all of the digital skills in the world will get you nowhere if you don’t understand what companies are trying to accomplish. It worked because they have that right and rare balance of business and domain expertise.

I’ve invested $20,000–$30,000.

We began working together in January 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We had a tenfold increase in sales engagement. They’re easy to work with and just get it. If we’ve got a service that integrates with what we’re doing, and impacts our client’s business, everyone’s happy. They’re so easy to work with and they just get it. They just get it done with a no-nonsense approach.
How did SocialSellinator perform from a project management standpoint?
They were spot-on in terms of project management. We communicated with them mainly via email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their expertise is around social selling content marketing, which is why we use them. We work with them because they have very strong business acumen; if you don’t understand a business, then you can’t do sales enablement, you can not just push content out.
It’s very rare that you have a company, in this social space, that truly understands social engagement, business components, and can deliver results. You very rarely get all three and these guys have all three.

We wanted to build our social media reach through increasing followers, engagement, and overall traffic. Additionally, we wanted to integrate the new social media approach with our other marketing campaigns.

We followed referrals and searched for vendors online, and shortlisted a few. We had several initial meetings to analyze our brand message, product, customer profile, and competitors. From there, SocialSellinator used our marketing calendar to develop a plan for both teams. They provide a set of content for the coming week and, once approved, it’s deployed. Their team develops our messaging, visuals, and microblogs to display on social media. They support our outreach activities and adhere to the key performance indicators (KPIs) we set.

We work directly with the project coordinator, who interacts with the content producers and designers on their end.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Thanks in part to SocialSellinators’ help, we achieved our engagement and conversion goals. We also consistently satisfied the KPIs targets.

The process has been seamless between our teams. We use Slack, Asana, and Google Docs to collaborate. Our project coordinator attends our weekly marketing meetings over the phone. As our main point of contact, they also arranged our social media activities with the rest of the team.
