For what projects/services did your company hire Socialectric Media and Business Solutions, and what were your goals?
We hired Socialectric Solutions to completely redesign our website giving clients the tools to be able to find answers on their own.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We actually started using them a long time ago doing maintenance on our old website. It got to the point where we were doing more work maintaining the old website so we decided to just create our own custom build one. Best decision we ever made.

We started off with a kick off call to talk about our goals for the website and the functions we wanted it to have. From there we received a very well detailed quote which provided us with the time line and the process of the project. Immediately after signing the quote Eric and his team got to work. They were very quick to make adjustments and just amazing to work with.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I mainly worked with two people. Eric which oversaw everything, and Chi which specialized in the UI/UX development.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We just launched the site as of today but the user experience is amazing compared to what we came from!
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
They used click up and figma for all the communication. It was seem less and allowed for us to go back and forth flawlessly.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They just truly had a passion for what they do, and they were amazing at it. Every little detail was fine tuned and they allowed for us to present crazy ideas for them to make a reality.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
The only improvement or something they could have done different is moving content to the website. I'm sure, if we were to ask they would have been more than happy to assit, but luckily we have a in house marketing team that was able to assist in all of that!

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of The Gents Bay, a business that focuses on all-natural men’s grooming products with a popular signature scent.
What challenge were you trying to address with Socialectric Media and Business Solutions?
We are a small startup and can’t scale up our marketing efforts. We needed a responsive website to reach our potential customers — most of our business operations are online since we shut down our stores because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We initially outsourced the website design to another company and then forwarded those designs to Socialectric for development.
Socialectric did all of the development in Wix — they got permission from Wix to create custom code so they wouldn’t be limited to standard templates and drag and drop features. Socialectric did a lot of customization because each of our web pages needed to provide more information than the standard services Wix offered.
During the development stage, their team laid out the functionalities clearly, showing me exactly what I could do with the platform and how it could change in the future. Their data management administrator also worked with me to upload our product information to our database so it would work automatically.
Socialectric also provided us with some marketing consulting services — they sat down with us and offered recommendations to help improve our website.
We currently have a two-year maintenance contract, and if we are still using the platform after that contract is up, we’ll continue working with them.
What is the team composition?
I mostly communicated with Eric (Founder & Director) and worked with a UI/UX designer and a data management administrator.
How did you come to work with Socialectric Media and Business Solutions?
I found Eric on LinkedIn via mutual connections. I reached out to him and we met; they were responsible and flexible in scaling the project up. I also really liked Eric’s communication style. We discussed my budget and functionalities, and he got back to me the next week to offer a solution that fit our budget.
Many other companies in Vietnam in the industry generally don’t provide the amount of freedom and flexibility to small clients; most of the time they have specific packages, and clients have to upgrade to another if they want more.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $2,500 with Socialectric.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with Socialectric from September–October 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We didn’t have a website before we worked with Socialectric, and after its launch around Black Friday last year, we gained a huge advantage over our competitors. Our revenue increased by 30% from the previous month, and we’ve had a steady 5% increase in revenue every month until the first quarter of 2021.
How did Socialectric Media and Business Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
The entire project took about a month, and Eric and his team were very responsive to questions.
In the middle of the project, the Socialectric team received many new prospects and had to postpone the project a few parts, but they still made sure everything was completed by our deadline.
At Eric’s suggestion, we used Trello for project management and transferred data through their Google Drive account. When we needed to send over website designs, we uploaded them to Google Drive.
Now, if we have any issues with the website, we get a response in 24–48 hours.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Socialectric’s hospitality and responsiveness gave us peace of mind — most of their competitors don’t provide that level of service.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I would prefer to use a project management tool other than Trello. We found it hard to communicate sometimes — if they could find another communication solution, it would improve the partnership.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Customers need to be clear and precise about their budget. It’s vital to set the ground rules on how much a customer is willing to invest because Socialectric is responsive and can scale up your website if they need to.

After a series of discovery meetings to discuss our goals, we received 3 initial designs for the main page on the site. Once we choose a theme, they finalized the design and provided feedback through invision. this allowed us to show them how we wanted the rest of the site to look.
The vendor came back to us with designs for our other pages, Including an updated " contac us " form.

Their documentation was very thorough. Our developers ware able to implement their design easily, and the overall looks is much more user-friendly. Site traffic has increased by 70% and we continue to hear positive feedback and compliements from visitors about design.

The project manager was easy to communicate with and provided us frequent updates. We had both in-person meetings and phone calls, but most of the feed back was through slack. Everything was delivered on time and we received ample warning if a deadline was not going to be met.

I was blown away by the knowledge they had about website design, user experiences, and optimization. We appreciated that they were patient and thoughtful while we came up to speed. We have worked with other agencies in the past, but this was a particularly collaborative and positive experience.
