Social Republic Releases Groundbreaking First-Aid Quizbot For The British Red Cross
Manchester-based, global social media agency Social Republic, has teamed up with the British Red Cross to build and release a world first, first aid quizbot.
The British Red Cross’ quizbot has been launched to help parents learn life saving, first aid skills.
The quizbot covers key first aid topics including broken bones, burns and bumps to the head, with all sections designed to be completed within one minute.
Users will also be able to download and share the Red Cross’ quizbot course completion badges with family and friends.
The quizbot is available to access now on the Red Cross’ Facebook page.
James Reed, British Red Cross first aid spokesperson said: “Launching as part of our World First Aid Day campaign, the Facebook first aid quizbot is an innovative new way for parents to learn simple, life-saving skills in just one minute.
“We know that from recent research that whilst over half of parents have had to deal with an accident in the home, almost a third wouldn’t know how to help their child in a first aid emergency. With more parents at home with their children it’s as vital as ever to learn skills that could save a life.
“Lockdown has also seen parents juggling multiple responsibilities, that’s why we’ve found a way to make learning first aid quick, easy and fun.”

For what projects/services did your company hire Social Republic™?
We were looking to increase the number of enquiries from social media, specifically LinkedIn and Instagram. The problem we had was not having the time to create and post high-quality content to our social media channels. We required an agency that could promote our work whilst developing unique campaigns,
What were your goals for this project?
We initially wanted the agency to develop a detailed social media strategy which would identify the platforms we should focus on and the plan to create content campaigns. We anticipated that this would save our teams time, whilst in turn creating new business enquiries.
How did you select Social Republic™?
We searched for relevant agencies, selecting three to develop pitches for our account. We were impressed by their approach to creating strategies and the concepts presented. We looked at experience, team and cost before selecting the agency. I was the main decision maker in this process.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
The agency were first of asked to deliver a comprehensive strategy, which was presented on-time and offered lots of detail. We provided examples of our previous work which was included in initial content campaigns.
My role was to oversee the content going out, to approve or edit it using a third party platform. The agency was responsible for content creation and lead generation techniques on both LinkedIn and Instagram.
What was the team composition?
The team sized remained the same throughout campaigns and I worked directly with a dedicated account manager and two content creators.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Since working with the agency, traffic to our website increased by 64% with business enquiries improving by 32%. This was better than initially expected and we have been delighted with the results that we continue to work with the agency. We have seen a significant increase in social media engagement by our target market.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The agency account manager has been a pleasure to work with. The team always complete tasks on-time and regularly provide ideas for new content campaigns. I always feel like I can get in touch with the team if I need to, and find the weekly and monthly reports to be effective.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
We were impressed with the strategic direction of the team and the outstanding content they produced. They are a personable and dedicated team. Having an understanding of our business has been indispensable.

We were looking for an agency that could provide regular social media content for seasonal event campaigns, posting across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Our goal was to utilise an external agency that could provide reliable support; producing and posting content before, during and after specific city events.

Having selected Social Republic as our agency, we worked with them to develop a comprehensive social media content strategy which would help develop campaigns throughout the year and beyond. I work directly with their content team, who always provide me with ideas for campaign content. We then work together to bring those ideas to life.
What was the team composition?
I work mainly with four members of the content creation team, who have created graphics, animations and videos for our campaigns. I also work closely with an account manager who is dedicated to our account.

Social Republic has provided regular, scroll-topping content that has increased our output and engagement rates by 36%. We have seen a positive reaction by our followers and the general public to the posts created by the team.

When looking for an agency we wanted to find someone who could help us with two main areas, social media strategy and content creation.
What were your goals for this project?
Our main objectives were to improve our overall brand recognition and then focus on improving engagement.
How did you select this vendor?
It was very important for us to find an agency that knew social media inside and out, who could not only increase our engagement on social platforms but then also convert this into website traffic and enquiries. We spoke with four different agencies based both in London and Manchester and felt that Social Republic were by far the best option for us.

Social Republic were commissioned to create organic content for all of our social channels. They developed a strategy that would keep our content fresh and engaging. They focused on content which was based around sustainability, recipes and remained responsive to the current news.

I've worked closely with a dedicated senior account executive, as well as with content creators and social listening teams. They're always a pleasure to work with and always one step ahead of others.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Social Republic went over and beyond for us. We were incredibly happy with the work they produced, especially with the development of the fan favourite ‘Alvaro’ the animated avocado.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
With one account manager, I found it easy to communicate during campaigns, with weekly and monthly reports making my life easier. Social Republic looked after all elements of task management, reporting, content output.
I was able to look at content ahead of it being posted and make any necessary amendments. Having access to content teams made it easy to create reactive content, with the team always providing ideas
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I was impressed by the agencies 'finger on the pulse' approach, understanding how to leverage social networks, and their ability to come up with ideas for campaigns ahead of time. The content produced matched our brand pillars and was timely, relevant, and engaging. They have grown our accounts over time and we're really happy to be working with them.

We would definitely recommend Social Republic to anybody looking for an agency which really spends time to understand your business journey, goals and audiences.
