Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the president and CEO of a consumer electronics startup.
What challenge were you trying to address with The Snow Agency?
We launched our first product, a handheld steamer, and wanted to launch paid ads to promote it.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The Snow Agency runs our paid advertising campaigns. At the beginning of the engagement, their team set up business accounts on Google and several social media platforms, including Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram. I provided several creative samples of ads that I wanted to mimic, and we collaborated on the first few ad sets.
Now, I provide weekly content from influencers or user-generated content that the Snow Agency can utilize for the ads. Every other week, they provide 10–15 deliverables in the form of short video clips that we can post in ad format on any of our marketing channels. Not only do they create the visual content, but they write the copy as well. After I approve each ad, the Snow Agency sets them up to go live.
What is the team composition?
We initially started working with three teammates from the Snow Agency, but have expanded to four. Daniel (Co-Founder and CEO) was my original point of contact, but now Maggie (Paid Social Analyst) handles our account. There are also graphic designers and content creators who work on the backend.
How did you come to work with The Snow Agency?
One of our advisors had worked with the Snow Agency when he was launching his company. We moved forward with the Snow Agency and got to know Daniel well.
How much have you invested with them?
We invest $5,000 a month in agency fees with the Snow Agency, for a total of $35,000 thus far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with the Snow Agency in May 2021 and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The first month we started working with the Snow Agency, we averaged about $60,000 in monthly sales. Since working with them, our sales have skyrocketed — last month, we made over $260,000 in sales. 70% of that increase can be associated with the Snow Agency's work.
How did The Snow Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
The Snow Agency communicates well via Slack and email. Every Tuesday, we have a Zoom meeting to discuss ad performance metrics and make corrections.
It initially took a little bit of time to get our partnership up and running; we had a 30–40 day ramp-up window to get to know each other and develop our strategies. We've gotten to a point where they know what I will approve, so fewer design iterations are needed. They keep track of which ads are working and which aren't. Once, we had an article written about us in Vogue, and the Snow Agency suggested we repurpose it as an advertisement. We ended up running a test of the repurposed ad — one redirected to the Vogue article and the other to our website. They're great at finding content, repurposing it, and testing to see which version has better conversion rates.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The results we've seen with the Snow Agency have been great. They react quickly to changes in conversion rates and are experts in running these types of paid ad campaigns.
Are there any areas they could improve?
In the beginning, we could've been more collaborative out of the gate. While that might have just been the nature of getting our paid channels off the ground, I've seen other companies have much quicker successes. I do think it all boils down to us not being on the same page creatively at the start.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would advise customers to be as detail-oriented in their feedback as possible. It's also essential to ask for additional information regarding the metrics — their team will provide general information, but won't go into the details of highest performing ads unless requested.

Our decision was purely based on the previous results delivered by the agency and their willingness to help small businesses like ours.

We went through a couple of phases before running the ads. They did an extensive market research, evaluated the product and designed the campaigns accordingly for Facebook and Instagram.

We hired them to run ads on Facebook and Google for us because that’s not our expertise. We wanted to establish a strong brand and attract customers.

They wrote all of the ad copy and designed the creative. They also took care of the campaign set up on Facebook and Google. Their team did keyword research and selected keywords to target based on competition and profitability. From there, they tracked metrics and provided regular reports on the success of our campaigns.
