Andrea and Gian Luca, the co-founders of COW-ORK, an innovative start-up offering flexible workspaces across Miami, were looking for scalable ways to acquire new members while keeping the budget on track. The company transforms restaurants, hotels and other hospitality venues into an all-access network of working and meeting spaces, allowing freelancers, home-workers, flexible employees, and students to work in shared spaces at an affordable price.
Founders looked for growth marketing agencies that could help them engage at scale with the right target audience, meanwhile keeping the cost of a new member acquisition under $100.
Scope of work
Acquire new customers with email marketing by sourcing prospects from Instagram. We agreed on a list of Instagram accounts whose followers should fall within the criteria of COW-ORK’s target audience. We extracted all their followers, analyzed their bios and other available data points to score each lead (location, job title, account category, availability of public emails etc.). We have analyzed over 100k profiles and ultimately kept up to 2000 users that satisfied all the criteria. We then sent cold-emails sequences to raise awareness and interest.
Highlighted below are the key outcomes of the campaign:

- Key KPIs: 66% open rate,17.14% click rate, 5.22 reply rate
- Campaign goals: 20 new members per month
- Customer acquisition rate after two months of campaigns: 25 monthly (25% over the target)

WeClickEat by Simplo Corp designs and produces eco-friendly substitutions for single-use plastic in the food-market industry. Our team was brought in to help with their growth marketing efforts to find rapidly new clients and distributors in the US.
The project started by creating a list of possible clients that we can target with our email campaigns. We also worked closely with the client in creating the strategy for the very first campaign.

The BIG challenge is to enter the US food-related B2B market with a brand that is not well known. We hired Skief labs to make a Growth Hacking campaign, with the clear goal to create at least 40 possible deals with medium-sized distributors and small restaurants.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We used our limited networking in Miami to get references from companies that could help us with our launch in the US. Skief labs came with great recommendations, and we decided to work with them after having a meeting with their CEO Sardar, whom clearly knows what's he is talking about.

Skief labs worked in creating listings of possible clients that we could approach with a cold-email growth hacking campaign. We worked together in creating the strategy and the emails and launched the first campaign in August. The marketing tools were the systems that Skief labs constantly use with their clients.

I worked directly with Sardar, the owner of Skief Labs, and had great daily basis communication. I don't know if he worked with somebody else within his company.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Our goal was to generate 40 deals, and right now we are over 60. We made countless adjustments with Sardar that normally benefitted the campaign. We are happy with the services.

Its flawless due that we used a direct communication tool that made us have daily communication.

The project was not as successful as we had hoped, although that was due to the content resonating, not the performance of Skeif Labs. Future campaigns will retain a copywriter and change positioning to slightly different types of actions.

It was very smooth. We didn't have a complicated campaign, after the initial content flow was set up, everything was on auto-pilot except for check-ins on the open rate. Those were delivered every two weeks and we made changes accordingly.
