Parkalot app grows 10x with a new business model
BACKGROUND
Parkalot is a small startup offering a web-based solution for workplace parking management. It was founded by Lukas Patecki as a result of his own bad experience with workplace parking in one of the large corporations in Krakow, Poland. Lukas coded Parkalot web app and launched the product in 2016. He’s managed to organically acquire his first paying corporate customers. For most of the time, he’d acted as a product manager, software engineer and customer support at Parkalot.Lukas looked for someone to help him with defining the right business model for his product and gaining the initial traction to confirm the product-market fit.
OUR COOPERATION
Skalski Growth helped Parkalot with their business model by redefining its value proposition messaging, pricing model and customer relations. To ensure the right online presence, we’ve decided to move the main website and landing page from about.parkalot.io to parkalot.io – to make it more accessible and intuitive for new users. We’ve completely redesigned the website to make it clearly communicate the product and increase conversion. We’ve tested multiple acquisition channels – including paid search, display, paid social, email marketing, direct outreach. In each of the channels we’ve run at least few campaigns and iterations to verify their value. The most successful ones have become a part of the Parkalot’s marketing playbook – to the large extend being automated and standardised. In order to improve user activation, we have introduced email drip campaigns for new users, organised webinars, co-designed an in-app onboarding process, as well as created guides and FAQ section.
OUTCOME
As a result of our cooperation Parkalot has improved a number of metrics, including:weekly active users - by 10xrevenue per subscriber - by 5xpaying corporate customers - by 4xNowadays, Parkalot is used by dozens of medium and large enterprises around the world. It also keeps growing at a rapid pace.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I’m a Digital Marketing Expert at Nethone. We specialise in ML-driven business intelligence and fraud prevention.
For what projects/services did your company hire Skalski Growth, and what were your goals?
We hired Skalski Growth to audit our current marketing performance and prepare a strategy for inbound marketing that delivers results.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Skalski Growth was recommended to us by one of our consultants, who had an opportunity to work with them in the past. After the initial call, hearing the plan of possible cooperation based on a data-driven approach to inbound marketing & strong focus on analysis - planning, we decided to go with the Skalski family.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.
Our cooperation started with an audit. At the first meeting, Skalski Growth presented us with project steps and did a thorough interview to better understand our company & our current marketing strategy. During the audit, we met in weekly intervals, 4 times in total. In each meeting, they delivered an in-depth review of each of our marketing channels with actionable insights. This allowed us to identify which channels have potential and what changes we could implement to make better use of them.
Next, we moved onto market research. Skalski Growth performed comprehensive competition research to identify best practices for our industry and see how we position against other companies in this space in terms of digital marketing. They also investigated for us different geographies in terms of traffic potential, target audience size, and market saturation.
Using insights from these researches combined with the audit, they were able to develop a marketing strategy focused on channels and actions most likely to deliver results. Right now we are working together on implementing the strategy.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The project was led by Wojciech Skalski, CEO of Skalski Growth. Anna Sztabkowska (Growth Partner) and Michał Wilgosz (Senior Growth Manager) were responsible for performing the audit and delivering parts of the strategy.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
After 6 weeks of cooperation, we received a full audit of our marketing channels and inbound marketing strategy for this year. Each part of the project was thoroughly documented. We got access to all documents presented at meetings, including source data used to prepare them.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow was very effective. We had a meeting each week to summarise progress and discuss next steps. Between the meetings, we were using Slack to communicate.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Not only did they do extensive and in-depth research, but they also drew concrete conclusions and recommendations to implement in day2day activities. All based on data, market insights and the impressive expertise of the team.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
So far everything goes smoothly with no interruption.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I’m the Founder of HiMommy - a pregnancy tracker app.
For what projects/services did your company hire Skalski Growth, and what were your goals?
We hired Skalski Growth to help us promote our app through paid ads. Our main goal was to lower Cost Per Installation and achieve positive ROI from paid ads.
How did you select Skalski Growth and what were the deciding factors?
We already knew Skalski Growth as we used to work together with Wojtek Skalski (CEO) on previous projects.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.
The goal of this project was to build a PPC acquisition campaign for the US market that would deliver positive ROI. The team prepared an action plan, recommendations regarding channels and their setup, as well as multiple versions of creatives including video, images and text.
The very first results after launching the campaigns weren't satisfactory - the Cost Per Installation was higher than the target. We tried with different campaign types, but this didn't work either. Together with the SkalskI Growth team we decided to take a step back and look into the app user data from different countries and their conversion rate.
It turned out that the USA is not the only market worth exploring. We identified new markets with conversion potential and low CPC for related keywords and we started testing them. This approach worked, and soon we started acquiring new users at good CPI. In the meantime I have improved conversion in the product. Thanks to that, the also CPI in the US became acceptable and started bringing positive ROI.
How many resources from the Skalski Growth team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked directly with Anna Sztabkowska as our Marketing Manager. Anna was leading the project and Wojtek Skalski provided advisory expert support. They also have a team of marketing support that helped with copywriting and setup.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
After improving in-app conversion rate we were able to achieve positive ROI for the US market. We also found new markets with promising installation costs (it’s worth noting that exploring other geographies was out of the initial project scope, but the team took this extra effort to deliver results).
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
They updated us on a weekly basis on what's going on in the project. In case of questions they provided answers quickly. All the materials have been collected in a shared drive so that they can be used in the future.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
focus on results, smooth communication via Slack and calls, full transparency regarding costs and results thanks to real-time dashboards. The team's willingness to go the extra mile to deliver results has been impressive throughout the workflow.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Everything was fine.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I’m the Founder and CEO of Dataedo - a modern data catalog/data documentation software with a global client base. Our goal is helping organizations understand their ever-growing data assets in this unprecedented data revolution that is unfolding before our eyes.
For what projects/services did your company hire Skalski Growth, and what were your goals?
We hired Skalski Growth to help us with marketing and growth, including building team and processes in sales and customer success. We needed to define funnel, build automations, sales followups, content marketing, improve customer journey, and improve customer retention.
How did you select Skalski Growth and what were the deciding factors?
CEO of Skalski Growth responded to our post on Linkedin, when we were looking for a Head of Growth.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.
The project started quickly. We have been noticing a drop in trial conversion rate for the past few months, so the first thing they did was to rebuild our trial onboarding campaign and we noticed 3-4 fold growth in trial conversion rate.
After the crisis was averted, we moved to more strategic tasks - they analyzed our website traffic, did market research and proposed areas for improvement. hey also collected and organized all marketing initiatives and ideas we would like to tackle. We also had a series of workshops that really helped us improve our messaging and create value propositions for different use cases.
In terms of notable projects during our cooperation so far, they helped us modernize our brand (new logo and website), map out and optimize user journey in multiple touch-points (website, trial, onboarding, renewals), create content for the website, carry out email campaigns, and gather more reviews online.
Right now Skalski Growth is responsible, among others, for our email marketing, messaging, SEO, further website development, and establishing partnerships.
How many resources from the Skalski Growth team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We work directly with Wojtek as our Head of Marketing and Anna Sztabkowska as our Marketing Manager. Anna is leading the project and all initiatives and Wojtek provides advisory expert support. They also have a network of trusted freelancers that help to complete more complex projects.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Since we started our cooperation a lot has changed. We have rebranded with a brand new logo and website, made a switch towards the Enterprise market, which increased our revenue significantly, as well as improved user journey in key touch points. We increased average transaction x2 and grew 80% YoY for the past 2 years.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow is very effective. I really like their agile approach with weekly plans and update meetings. They keep track of new ideas and projects in progress and make sure that everything happens in a timely manner. A lot of our marketing efforts (and not only) can be fully outsourced to Skalski team.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
That we were very quickly able to treat them as part of Dataedo. That they are agile and result oriented. That they provide a holistic view on growth. That they too, feel like part of Dataedo and genuinely help us grow as it was their business.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Nothing comes to mind.

Content & Digital Marketing for Entrepreneurial Tech Company
"They’ve worked hard on a lot of projects, and we also like that they’re a very motivated team."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a co-founder of the Foundation for Technology and Entrepreneurship, and we’re tech accelerators. We work with MIT and run a program called MIT Enterprise Forum for Central and Eastern Europe.
What challenge were you trying to address with Skalski Growth?
Our goal is to help our corporate partners with their innovative challenges, by identifying the best startups to support them.
What was the scope of their involvement?
What we do with Skalski Growth is digital marketing to recruit startups for our corporate partners. We really need to be aware of how to communicate and evaluate our campaigns, so we wanted their expertise. What they basically do is design a strategy to reach startups in targeted countries, identify the right channels for these campaigns such as email and social media, and figure out how much we should spend on them — Our goal is to get more startups to our program that can easily match the corporate challenges.
Apart from that, they’ve also reworked our website, and they’ve been matching the challenges of the startups who are applying. In addition, they’ve also been helping us with strategies to identify our corporate partners using LinkedIn. They know how to build these marketing funnels to reach people, so our next project with them is to build the right product to attract corporations.
For the channels of our campaigns, they changed the flow and the traffic of our CRM, and they’ve been using this tool called Metadata to help track data and information accurately. The content that we write for our corporate partners is done in-house, and Skalski Growth is in charge of the graphic design aspect.
What is the team composition?
We work with one person, Wojtek (CEO & Chief Growth Marketer), and I’m not sure who else is helping him behind the scenes.
How did you come to work with Skalski Growth?
I was frustrated with the previous agency I’ve worked with, so I went to a friend of mine whose opinion I value highly. They recommended Skalski Growth, so I immediately went to them and got started.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in February 2020, and our partnership is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our partners are happy that they’re growing and getting the right startups to help them.
How did Skalski Growth perform from a project management standpoint?
They perform very well — whatever they say, they get done. They’re very young and well-versed in all the technology tools, as well as building structures, preparing strategies, and creating reports.
We typically use Basecamp to manage our projects, and we communicate through email, WhatsApp, and Zoom.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed with how they’re very effective and strategic. They’ve worked hard on a lot of projects, and we also like that they’re a very motivated team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We have open communication about how we can get better startups, and they’re very productive. There’s always room for improvement, but I’m generally happy and if there is a problem, we’ll always solve it.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The client should always know what problems they need to address. While they might be very good digital marketers who understand SEO and SEM, they’re not going to be the people who’d be doing the creative work. You really have to understand your problem, and understand what Skalski Growth is good at.

Please describe your company and your position there.
1koszyk (1cart) is the easiest way to sell on the Internet. We offer a platform to sell products and services on any channel - website, blog, social media, email, sms, offline - via a link without a need to build and maintain an e-commerce store. As there is a courier and payment gateway in the package, our users get pretty much everything needed to start an online business in less than 15 minutes. My name is Konrad Lapin, and I am a founder at 1koszyk.
For what projects/services did your company hire Skalski Growth?
We hired Skalski Growth to help us comprehensively with our business model, growth strategy, digital marketing (website, paid campaigns, SEO, social media) and web/marketing analytics.
What were your goals for this project?
We had developed 1koszyk a few years back as a side project. For about a year after the launch we had only managed to get a handful of users and built no sustainable acquisition channels, even though the feedback from these actual users was very positive. That’s when we realized that we may need help from a marketing/growth expert to make it all work. Our main goal was to verify whether we can transform 1koszyk into a real business with a growing number of users and revenue.
How did you select Skalski Growth?
Myself and my partner met Wojtek (CEO at Skalski Growth) at an event about online business, where he was one of the panelists. We liked the approach to digital marketing that he had presented (results-oriented and agile) and decided to reach out and explore whether we can work together.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
We’ve been working together since January 2020. Skalski Growth started with auditing our situation and preparing a new growth strategy. This was the first thing that impressed us. They gathered very interesting insights about our past performance, competitors and potential customers, which significantly reshaped our communication, pricing and marketing strategy. In the past our communication was more technology-focused and targeting rather bigger players.
According to the new approach proposed by the agency, we concentrated primarily on smaller businesses and individuals who want to start selling their products and services online (the target group was split into multiple segments with various business potential - for further exploring through customer development and A/B testing). On top of that, the agency suggested specific channels and tactics we can try to acquire and retain users, alongside a clear timeline to make it happen.
After the strategy phase, Skalski Growth helped us with rebuilding our website - to make it more user-centric; setting up analytics and reporting - to see what’s happening and what’s working; kick-starting content creation, SEO, paid campaigns, social media, email marketing and many more (the scope of their help is so wide that it’s difficult to list it all). Soon we started to see a steady increase in number of visitors, new accounts and revenue.
As the Covid pandemic started in Q1 2020 we thought about suspending the project. We asked Skalski Growth for their opinion. Their recommendation was that we can possibly use the “new reality” to our benefit, as many small business owners may be looking for solutions to start selling online fast and simple. That was inspiring and we agreed to proceed. Soon, after updating our messaging and campaigns to reflect the new business environment and what entrepreneurs cared about most at the time, we started to see a further growth in our key metrics.
What was the team composition?
There was a Growth Marketer who acted as a project manager and our main point of contact. There were multiple specialists in the team - including a SEO expert, copywriters and marketing specialists helping with various aspects of the project. The CEO at Skalski Growth was also involved at every stage as an advisor and a supervisor of the team’s work. From our side, there were two founders, a graphic designer, as well as a support team and IT team involved - depending on the need.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
I cannot share specific numbers, but within a few months we managed to reach stable and steadily growing numbers of new accounts and revenue (we are currently very close to the breakeven point).
When it comes to new website visitors, it increased about 8x within a year up to about 10,000 users a month (most of them from organic channels). Costs per user acquisition in Google Ads and Facebook Ads are decreasing from the very beginning, which is a sign of optimization success.
In terms of SEO, we managed to get high organic positions in Google on some highly competitive, transactional phrases but also on many quality, long-term keywords.
On a qualitative side, we get a lot of feedback from our new customers that we are very visible across the web. Our product got featured in multiple blogs posts and e-learning courses about doing business online. We were also approached by some big brands and investors to discuss partnership opportunities.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow is very effective. We have weekly calls, where we chat about business metrics, progress and plans. Skalski Growth provides us with monthly reports on SEO and weekly reports on pretty much everything else.
Whenever we ask for some additional insights, they respond with detailed analyses - e.g. on customer cohorts or performance of specific campaigns. They plan their work weekly and report all tasks in a project management software - which is very transparent. We are also on the same Slack channel and if needed (e.g. edits to the website or ads) - they get it done immediately.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They’ve truly become our marketing partner. It feels like they are a part of our company. What’s the most impressive though is that they excel at both levels: strategy and execution.
According to my experience this is a very rare quality. On one hand, they’ve helped us reframe high-level topics like our entire business model, messaging, pricing etc. They’ve built many things from the ground up - analytics, acquisition channels, and email marketing.
Are there any areas for improvement?
There always are some, both on our side and theirs. Our long partnership is a process and I find Skalski Growth open for our questions and recommendations. They listen and search for the solutions.

Please describe your company and your position there.
AutomatSpec is a leading provider of vending and coffee services in Poland. We cooperate with corporations and institutions in the educational, healthcare and government sectors. With branches in over 38 cities and more than 5000 operating vending machines, we are the largest player in the Polish vending industry. I am an IT Specialist at AutomatSpec.
For what projects/services did your company hire Skalski Growth?
AutomatSpec hired Skalski Growth to help us drive more business from digital channels. At the time, we had very well-developed field sales and strong brand in the industry but struggled when it comes to the online presence. Our website wasn’t up-to-date, we didn’t do any paid campaigns or SEO activities. We also weren’t sure to what extent digital marketing can boost our business.
What were your goals for this project?
Our ultimate goal was to receive more quality leads from large companies and public institutions. We also wanted to have a fast and useful website, initiate ongoing SEO activities and test the most promising paid channels. On top of that, we expected maximum transparency when it comes to what we spend and how it translates to business results, so having robust analytics was also essential.
How did you select Skalski Growth?
Wojtek (CEO at Skalski Growth) was referred to our CEO by his friend, who had a chance to work with him on some previous projects. He told him that Wojtek is very results-oriented and devoted to getting things done. After an introductory phone call and a meeting with our team, we decided to work together.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
They started with an in-depth interview about our company, services, competitors and the goals we want to achieve with digital marketing. They extended the findings with competitive research and keyword analysis to create a complete online marketing strategy. One of their first recommendations was to rebuild our website from scratch to improve user experience and conversion rate, but also to be to create new content and drive organic traffic.
They prepared a year-long vision for the website development, with pages dedicated to our services, machine categories, industries, and even top cities we operate in. The first version of our new website with the most essential pages was ready in a few weeks (which was quite impressive taking into consideration our previous experiences with digital marketing agencies).
In the following months, they added new content on the remaining pages. Since the new website launch, we’ve observed a stable growth in organic visits. What’s even more important - we got more and more quality leads from this channel. In order to further improve the conversion rate, they introduced new forms of contact on our website - for example, livecall widget and an interactive contact form for prospects to explore our offer.
It increased the number of contact requests greatly. We worked in weekly sprints, launching new marketing initiatives every week. One of the most successful ones was Google Ads. As they kept improving our campaigns, ad copy and keywords, we have seen a constant improvement in cost per lead and lead quality. Also - analytics. From the very beginning of the project, we had a weekly reporting on our spending, channels and how they generate new business.
What was the team composition?
We worked directly with Wojtek (CEO) and Michal, who acted as a project manager and a technical marketer. The team was supported by a remote SEO manager and a marketing assistant.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our new website was ready in the blink of an eye. We’ve seen a steady increase in organic traffic which converted very well to leads. Paid channels (e.g. Google Ads) turned out to be very effective too. The leads’ cost and quality have been improving over time. We got cooperation requests from large companies and institutions, just as we intended to.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The communication was very effective. They visited our office every week to discuss results and plan the next steps. During the week we communicated over the phone and email.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They are very pragmatic and communicative. And what’s probably the most important, they attach importance to driving results. Combined with their expertise in digital marketing, it makes a great mix.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Everything was great.

Dietific is a leading provider of diet catering in Poland. We started locally, paying high attention to food quality, macronutrient balancing, and great taste. Now our services are available in over 60 cities in Poland. Our customers appreciate us with one of the highest satisfaction ratings in the industry. I am a Founder and CEO at Dietific.
For what projects/services did your company hire Skalski Growth?
We hired Skalski Growth to manage our SEO, paid channels and website. Additional areas included influencer marketing, email marketing, our presence on comparison sites, reporting, and automation.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to gain more traffic from organic in key cities, improve cost per acquisition in Google Ads and make sure that our website loads fast, has relevant up-to-date information and converts well.
How did you select this vendor?
Wojtek (CEO at Skalski Growth) was referred to me by our investor.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
First, there was a two-hour interview to help them understand the company, services, competitors, and goals we want to achieve. They performed competitive research and keyword analysis to get additional insights. Based on that they prepared a marketing audit and tailored digital marketing strategy. They also used our product to gain full understanding of our distinctive features and qualities and help us communicate them better one the market. They reshaped our website to make it load faster, become more mobile-friendly, prioritize key information etc. At the same time, they optimized it for SEO and conversion rate. When it comes to SEO, they planned and executed our content and linkbuilding activities, as well as made sure that our website is optimized from a technical standpoint. It lead to a 100% growth year over year in terms of traffic from search, including improving our positions on some highly competitive keywords. For SEM, they audited our historical campaigns and rebuilt the account to improve the performance. The return on this channel is positive, even though we have much smaller budgets than our nationwide competitors. On top of that, they helped us with managing social media, influencer marketing, email marketing, and some automation and reporting tasks.
What was the team composition?
We worked directly with Skalski Growth’s CEO, a growth marketer who managed a project and an SEO expert. There were also some freelancers (graphic designers, copywriters) as well as junior team members helping with the execution of specific tasks.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our organic search traffic grew 100% year-over-year, similar to the number of orders. Our website is faster and more mobile-friendly, which leads to improved cost per conversion. We have better visibility into what works and what doesn’t. Also, our ability to respond to sudden situations with the right messaging has increased significantly.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The communication works really well. We jump on weekly calls to discuss progress and results. They are also active and very responsive on our company’s Slack.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They are very results-oriented, flexible and communicative. Always making sure that we do things that can lead to better results and we do them fast. They feel like a part of our own team, not just a contractors. They are also very invested in their work and that translates to investment in our product, they are willing to go the extra mile if that helps with getting the result we need.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I feel like for some time willingness to help us on all marketing related tasks was really holding the results (already very good ones) back. That was caused by the fact that some of the tasks that they offered to handle would be better suited with specialist in that field - and as much as it was cost effective and kept with the team that didn't required briefing - being current with the company and events. However over the course of the contract that's a issue that was adressed and corrected.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of Pomelody, an educational start-up based in Krakow, Poland.
What challenge were you trying to address with Skalski Growth?
They joined our team a year ago when we were just starting out. We needed their help to grow into the company that we are today—to develop our product and to gain revenues.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They built an e-commerce store and manage our digital marketing. We had initially hired them with the intent of creating an app, but they suggested an alternative approach. Instead of focusing on the whole world, they reoriented us to corner the Polish market. To do that, they instead developed a WordPress e-commerce website.
At the very beginning, we met with Wojtek (CEO, Skalski Growth) and discussed our business needs. While this is only a side note, I was really impressed by how the entire team takes excellent notes in our meetings. Wojtek analyzed our business goals, and by the second meeting, delivered a step-by-step outline of the strategy and services he would provide.
He offered strategies for different avenues, from paid marketing to organic search. The team worked in extremely efficient one-week sprints. While the environment at a start-up is very dynamic, Skalski Growth adjusted very well to our culture.
What is the team composition?
We worked with a team of 3. We had a team member assigned to our paid ad campaigns and another who assigned tasks and implemented the graphic design. Wojtek oversaw all development and provided all strategy.
How did you come to work with Skalski Growth?
I found Wojtek through a friend on LinkedIn. I noticed that he had previously worked with another educational tech company, so I decided to go with his company.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent somewhere between $10,000—$50,000. When we were starting out, they were very flexible regarding the price since we were on a tight budget.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began in August 2018, and it’s an ongoing partnership.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Thanks to them, our business has survived. They took us from 0 revenue to an income of $40,000 a month. One of our most successful projects was a crowdfunding campaign in Poland, where we broke the Polish record within the music category. They’ve also helped immensely with our PR. Even when we didn’t have paid marketing, their efforts were extremely successful.
Their advice and reorientation of my business have been extremely fruitful, so we’re very thankful. They learn extraordinarily quickly, and they’re incredibly professional.
How did Skalski Growth perform from a project management standpoint?
I’ve found that they’ve focused 100% on my business, and they’ve been available—in case of emergency—24/7. Their constant support has been a great relief.
The entirety of the work is done remotely. When we were based in the same city, we tried to meet once a week per my request. After a couple of meetings, we decided that was unnecessary, and that remote work is just as effective. They utilize Basecamp and are extremely transparent, so we’re able to track all progress. They’ve also been excellent about providing weekly reports before every meeting.
In addition to Basecamp, we communicate on Slack and use other management apps like Trello. They’re extremely organized but also extremely adaptable to your company culture.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It’s been such a pleasure to work with them. We’ve had stressful situations with financial issues or being ill-prepared—they’ve always been happy, professional, and friendly, through all of that. They quickly became integrated into our own team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They’re perfect for growth-stage startups. Since we’ve experienced rapid growth and are undertaking multiple projects, we could always appreciate more hands on our projects. Having said that, I understand that their business model specifically focuses on startups at earlier levels of development.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Don’t treat them like a marketing agency, because they’ll truly become the marketing team of your company. Don’t hesitate to give it a shot with them.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am a psychologist and psychotherapist, specialised in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In 2018 I started my own psychotherapy practice.
For what projects/services did your company hire Skalski Growth?
I hired Skalski Growth to build a basic online presence for my psychotherapy practice. I just founded a company and looked for a way to attract first patients. My budget was very limited at that point so I only looked for the most cost-effective and sustainable solutions. Besides a website, I wasn’t sure what’s required to gain visibility online. I relied on their experience to choose the best channels and methods.
What were your goals for this project?
I wanted to attract patients to my new practice. My primary goal was to get my calendar 100% booked within the first month of operations. On top of that, I wanted to have a professional, easy-to-navigate website and be “findable” online for people looking for help with their mental health. As I was just starting and had a small budget, I also wanted to spend as little as possible on marketing and always keep my ROI positive. I needed someone to find a smart way to make it all happen.
How did you select this vendor?
When I spoke privately with the Skalski Growth’s owner about my plans to start a psychology practice, he offered his help in setting up my online presence. I believe that they treated it as a small side project.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
It all started with a new website. They covered this topic end-to-end, taking care of the domain name, hosting, design and development. I was always up to date about what’s happening and had a decisive vote in all discussions. They've also granted me admin access to the website's CMS so that I can edit it on my own. The website they've developed is fast and mobile-friendly, with a clear description of my specialization and contact information. I’ve received very good feedback about it from my patients and friends.
Then, to make my company findable, they created a listing on Google My Business and in all the most relevant directories for mental health professionals. They suggested to reach out to old patients from previous workplaces - to get my first reviews and increase credibility. I did it. Soon, I received my first reviews - and not much later - the first requests from potential patients. Next, they've explored multiple paid channels by running quick experiments. They tested the local Google Ads campaign, which resulted in a few phone calls.
The real game-changer though was a premium profile in one of the most popular doctors’ directories. It provided me with a steady volume of new requests from patients. We decided to focus on this channel. Finally, they made sure that my website is well designed for search engines. They also suggested what content to create to gain more organic traffic from Google. As a result, I see a steady increase in the number of visitors from search engines.
What was the team composition?
The project was led personally by the owner. The website and marketing campaigns were developed by one of his marketers. An SEO Specialist was helping with the technical audit of the website and optimizing it for SEO.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Besides having a professional online presence I managed to get my appointment calendar fully booked within about 1 month from the start of our cooperation. In fact, I have more far more requests that I am able to handle at this point in time. As a result, I am already thinking about scaling my practice and hiring some psychologists to help me handle the demand.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow was very effective. I was surprised by how fast they can deliver new things. They also respond immediately to all questions. We communicated over the phone, email, Slack, and Basecamp.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The best thing about Skalski Growth is that they can work really well with small companies like mine. They move really quickly, listen to feedback and adjust their actions. They can operate within a small budget and prove business value immediately.
On the one hand, they are very experienced advisors, who can understand your business environment fast and come up with ideas for what may bring the results. On the other, they are also great in making things happen and finding out what really works in no time.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I don't see any.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the VP of global markets at Brainly, an educational homework help platform for students around the world. We operate in 12 languages and more than 35 countries and we have over 150 million users monthly around the world.
What challenge were you trying to address with Skalski Growth?
Our challenge was the Indian market was so big and we didn’t know where to start.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Skalski Growth provided his expertise to help us prepare a growth plan for the Indian market. We merged his ideas with our ideas and then he helped us with some processes. We had a plan to grow from a few million unique users in the Indian market to over 10 million in one year.
Their involvement was more in the performance marketing area, to help us acquire more users. For the performance marketing campaign, we were calculating how many questions we could get from the users and then how that could be helpful for us. Wojtek (CEO and Owner, Skalski Growth) then introduced his plan on mobile apps. He was promoting mobile apps in different regions in India. He launched PPC, social media, and SEO campaigns.
He built the growth trajectory in the mobile apps and we followed his idea in this area. We also promoted the most popular content from our website and where the students could find us most of the time. We acquired more users and they were more interested. We got a lot of users from this tactic.
What is the team composition?
I worked with Wojtek.
How did you come to work with Skalski Growth?
We worked on projects together in the past. I knew his expertise and wanted to get additional help from him.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $50,000–$60,000 in 2017. Our current budget is $300,000/year.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together in August–December 2017 for the first project.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We reached over 10 million users after seven or eight months. Our organic content creation was high, which drives our growth. This year, we expect to reach 25 million unique users, which we will probably reach in a couple of months. Today, almost 70% of our total traffic comes through search engines.
We were quite surprised that users were so engaged with the mobile app. It gave us a better idea of how we could use our mobile apps in different countries. Our users in India spend more than 30 minutes on our app daily and 5-7 minutes on our website. In a couple of months, we got more than 300,000 questions on different mobile apps, which was the first time that 90-95% of our total content creation came from mobile. We get a lot of content from the users and at the same time, the engagements really go up.
How did Skalski Growth perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management was very good. We still follow the methodology that they created in the campaigns. Our projects are successful and are still ongoing.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Wojtek is a very organized person. Before any meetings, we knew what we were going to talk about. He’s data-driven and does all his estimates based on data. It’s very important to use this data in a way that we can grow because we have a huge knowledge base and user base. His presentation skills are amazing.
Are there any areas they could improve?
He could take more risks in some projects to bring more results.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I have a friend who has a horse-riding business who also works with him. I don’t know the end result.
Thanks to Skalski Growth's efforts, the client completed a full audit of their marketing practices and finalized a new inbound marketing strategy. The project was exhaustively documented, and the audit was objectively based on data. The workflow was effective all throughout the engagement.
