All call logs get updated frequently in Salesforce. We can view all the calls and listen to them from a force.com site that SITSL created for admins of the center. All the new calls are stored as a lead in Salesforce along with the call details and recordings.

The app consistently receives four-star ratings and better. We’re very satisfied with SITSL’s work.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We met once a week, but their team was always available to take our calls and respond to our emails. They even accommodated our schedule by setting up video conferences so we didn’t have to make the long commute to their office.

It was sometimes easier to speak directly to the developers rather than going through the project manager because some of our messages and feedback weren’t relayed appropriately. Largely, though, we didn’t have any drastic miscommunications. It’s notable that they wanted the product to be perfect and were comfortable suggesting alternative methods that would better achieve our objectives.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Our project was a novel experience for them because it produced a physical result, whereas the bulk of their work is service based. They took pride in making the app as consumer-centric and engaging as possible. We appreciated the vibrancy and excitement they brought to the process.

We have a complicated platform that draws information on water sports events from multiple sources such as XML and CSV feeds. However, this data can sometimes be contradictory depending on the feed. SITSL’s team is working to merge these reports into a clear, unified picture of a single event.

They’ve created a ticket booking system that allows us to better manage our event listings and transactions. On the admin side, the system automatically generates editable text descriptions of our events based on the data feeds. It also allows us to control and monitor complete service listings, user accounts, and transactions.

Customers can access the frontend to browse and book water sports events, consider promotional prices, and select a payment option (e.g., cash, credit, electronic payment). After completing the transaction, customers can then manage their purchases, print an invoice, or request a refund.

SITSL is currently continuing to refine the ticket booking site while developing a corresponding POS mobile app. The app will automatically sync with the frame server for easy operation.

I mostly work with three resources, including the sales head who handled the initial conversation, a business analyst, and a project manager.

The level of communication has been excellent. We have a very complicated set-up, so, on some level, I can understand the challenges that arise. Nonetheless, they’ve performed well overall, and our team has been impressed with their work.

They manage their team very well. We hold weekly executive video conferences with the business analyst and project manager, and higher-level employees step in when necessary. We also use email and Slack to connect remote team members.

SITSL worked hard to get the work done before deadline and provided great support. The chatbot reduced support time by 65 percent. They handled all stages of development efficiently and we are highly satisfied with the results. End-clients have also been satisfied with the solution and SITSL’s quality.

They took on more ownership than expected and created a smooth, easy collaboration, keeping track of deadlines and remaining in control. They were always prompt in their response to our queries and gave us good suggestions and solutions throughout the development phase. We tracked the project through Skype, WhatsApp, and Zoho. They've been very communicative throughout the engagement, asking relevant and smart questions from the start.

The quality of their deliverables and the way they handled the timeline was amazing. They took away the pain that usually comes with outsourcing. They were also very responsive and agile, making themselves available even outside of working hours to answer any urgent questions we had.

I’m the founder and CEO of EverLynked. We offer an application that allows users to organize events and order food within the same platform. What challenge were you trying to address with SITSL?

Despite a long history in the e-commerce industry, we looked to outsource the work for this project. We’d initially tried to develop this application with a different company, and we invested a lot of money but didn’t see any results. It nearly ended our business. We needed a new, cost-effective vendor to supplement our in-house team in creating the application.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

SITSL created our application from scratch. We provided them with a brief description of our idea, then they designed the UX/UI and developed the platform. The team built both the event organizing and the food ordering components. Throughout the process, they kept our target audience in mind, adding stylistic elements designed to attract users. In the end, they delivered MVPs for iOS and Android versions of the app, each developed in native languages. Additionally, they built a functional website that corresponds to the mobile platform.

What is the team composition?

We worked with the CEO, two business analysts, and a team of about eight development engineers.

How did you come to work with SITSL?

We posted the project online and asked around our network. SITSL responded, and we reviewed their experience in the industry. One of our colleagues was familiar with their high-quality work, so we started a conversation. After a careful consideration process, we decided they’d be the most cost-effective partner.

So far, we’ve spent about $36,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked on this initial project form September–December 2018, but we extended our contract to include additional development work. We plan to gather user feedback and have SITSL make changes and build new features to address their needs better.

They delivered a fully functioning product within just two months. We plan to launch the platform very soon. Overall, they went above and beyond our expectations.

How did SITSL perform from a project management standpoint?

They managed this project very well, pushing us to work harder and stay on schedule. They wouldn’t let us fall behind. Their team moved very quickly but still communicated consistently, so there weren’t any misunderstandings, and we finished working before the projected deadline. We spoke with the analysts and the entire development team every day to discuss our progress.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I really appreciated their level of dedication. Because of our background in this type of work, we have an informed perspective to judge their performance. We think they’re an amazing team, looking at them as more of a partner than an outsourced vendor. They’re just as communicative and detail-oriented as our in-house team members.

I had a meeting with the Apphonchoz team based on which they put together an SRS [software requirements specification] document. Once I approved it, they provided a wireframe based on my idea showing how the platform would look in terms of design and functionalities. I was given Photoshop design files, and they started the development process.

In terms of functionalities, I was given SEO-friendly code with meta tags as well as analytics on how many users are accessing it from different locations. There is payment integration on the site and different ways to display products. The frontend was built using Magento, and we use MySQL as a database, which makes it convenient to manage products on the backend.

I interacted with their team leaders, who were available to me for support. I was also in touch with their designer, as well as with their business analyst, Bhupendra Kumar Verma.
