Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the sole proprietor of The Mad Hat Apparel Co., the parent company of Ruse. Our online retail brand focuses on apparel and accessories for pets and their humans.
For what projects/services did your company hire Sitecook Enterprises?
We hired them to build our online brand and boost awareness of our brand story.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goal was to get more sales by increasing brand awareness. We wanted to share how our brand was born and what direction it is headed in.
How did you select this vendor?
Sitecook Enterprises was referred by a close friend who was using their services at the time.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
Sitecook Enterprises was supposed to handle our entire online branding strategy while running social media ads to boost brand awareness and sales. The scope of work included social media optimization, search engine marketing, and SEO. They helped us create further strategies as we approached short-term milestones.
What was the team composition?
We regularly interacted with an account manager and the founders of Sitecook Enterprises.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Sitecook Enterprises allowed us to build a fairly decent community on social media, which is currently at around 8,000. Initially, we only had about 2,000 followers on both Facebook and Instagram. They also helped us reach a unique customer base via our e-retail website, going from less than 100 to over 2,500 visitors. We got initial traction in growing our online communities and sales.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We had a rough start, which I think is standard in all projects. Fortunately, the founders were available to iron out our issues promptly. Initially, they were very hands-on and helped us incorporate strategies and resources to ease our pain points. Once things got rolling, they continued to be reasonably professional in their approach.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They understood the stage our business was in and came up with strategies to help us gain momentum.
Are there any areas for improvement?
While it would be wrong for me to say they didn't do a good job, there's always room for improvement. Once we were with them for a while, the reaction time to our issues increased substantially. I guess this is how it is for all service-based agencies who have retained their clients for over a year.
