With the support of Visa, we became the first payment service to issue virtual cards that enable making purchases on the internet. We asked SimbirSoft to develop a website for one of our project, {Vsem, which means "To All" in English. The result is here: https://xn--b1agtcgbeu6c9b.xn--p1ai/Home

It is a charitable program where every payment is evenly spread among all participating funds like WWF, RusFond, Downside Up and etc. It means that you can help children with Down's Syndrome, homeless folks, animals and others in need at once! The new website is based on Magnolia CMS core, the free version. Although this CMS was new for SimbirSoft team, they accomplished the website successfully.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SimbirSoft was responsible for the whole development process, except design. The website they developed had a full-featured administration panel, which was customized according to our needs. The main features we expected and received were a visual template editor with drag and drop technology and a news page with updates about funds.

How did you come to work with SimbirSoft?

We were searching for an outsourced development company for the {Vsem website, and SimbirSoft offered their service at that time. The selection criteria were a cost estimation, experience, portfolio, a stack of technologies, flexibility, and transparency in development methodologies.

What is the status of this engagement?

Thanks to positive work experience with SimbirSoft, we decided to entrust them one more project.

The main evidence of SimbirSoft’s service quality is the fact that all our expectations were met. The team aimed to find the best way in feature implementation according to the timeline and final cost. We were able to plan work together and make changes at any time. In general, we have positive impressions about collaboration with SimbirSoft. Many thanks for a high-quality service!

How did SimbirSoft perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was organized perfectly for us and according to our request. We had a development process of one-week sprints. At the end of the sprint, our dedicated manager demonstrated a current version of the website, so we were able to see the whole development process and make adjustments in time if necessary. Each sprint was also followed by a report with information about what features were developed and how much time it took. 

What did you find most impressive about SimbirSoft?

The most pleasant for us in collaboration with SimbirSoft is their flexibility. As I have already mentioned the workflow they organized was customized for our needs. We chose SimbirSoft for iOS and Android development. The first challenge was to become a part of our team and provide effective service. The thing is, we had a rather bad implementation of our app at that moment. So it was quite a challenge for us as well. We did not compare SimbirSoft with others. Our partners, ABBYY, had been successfully working with SimbirSoft, and they recommended that we work with them. Since we had the same system of assessing quality standards with this partner, we went on their recommendation. They [SimbirSoft] executed some test tasks, and we interviewed their specialists. They also visited us and explained the terms, conditions, and processes they were prepared to offer. The partner specialists explained the levels of Simbirsoft, we really liked everything we heard, and we began our cooperation.

What is the status of this engagement?
It is an ongoing project. The SimbirSoft developers are integrated into our team and fully dedicated to our project. They work like remote developers of our own team, and for about 6 months, they worked full-time. The SimbirSoft developers receive and fulfill tasks like any other developer on our team.

We've got a project manager who controls our developers’ hours, monitors their vacations, etc and who determines who will cover for our developers when they are on vacation. Working with SimbirSoft is like working with your own developers but then just imagine that they do not get sick, go on vacation, or leave the company. SimbirSoft has a lot of developers so they will always find someone who can cover if another developer is absent.

The work was a mobile app for learning foreign languages on iOS. We have many languages available on the free application, as well as many paid options. We are targeting users from around the world but starting in Russia and Germany. We are expanding to other countries in the near future.

The app is live and is very popular in Eastern Europe. We are growing the business with their help. We currently have over 1,000 happy users with regular growth.
