Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the owner and designer of a custom surfboard workshop. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Siegfried Media?

I needed an updated website. I had taken a few years off and since I was gone that long from a custom business, it was hard to get reestablished, so I had Siegfried Media come in and help. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

He provided A–Z services, including good advice and visual suggestions. I told him what I wanted and he came back to me with a template. I provided photographs of all my surfboards. He came up with the colors, themes, and content — it was full service. It was important for us that our platform would allow our users to contact us, so they built that feature, too.

Overall, he decided how to best display what I was doing and designed our WordPress website. Currently, we have a maintenance contract with them.

What is the team composition?

I work with Ben (Owner).

How did you come to work with Siegfried Media?

I had worked with Ben in the past, in the 90s, when he was a professional photographer. I heard he was doing websites, so I contacted him to fix our platform.

What is the status of this engagement?

The website was completed around August 2017, but we have an ongoing contract.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I attribute my success today to the website he developed for me. For general feedback, our clicks and similar metrics increased. In addition, my business has increased fourfold since I got the website. He helped me gain the confidence of my customers and convince them to use my services and products despite being out of the business for 2–4 years. Overall, it has been an awesome experience and he’s really focused on the best quality he can provide. 

How did Siegfried Media perform from a project management standpoint?

We typically communicate by text, email, and phone conversations. I've also met him in person a couple of times. Whenever I give him deadlines, he always gets it done.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their follow-ups are impressive and they always make sure everything is working well. I worked with a lot of technical web guys and artistic web guys, and he’s definitely the most professional I’ve ever worked with.

They work really fast to get the job done and that’s unusual in my line of business. Above all, he’s quality-oriented and he’s persistent in finishing deliverables.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Honestly, there's almost nothing to improve. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Just let him know what you want upfront. He’ll ask a lot of questions and you just have to answer them because he’s going to come back with something that you’ll really like.
