What were your goals for this project?

We’re a technological startup and needed to hire a qualified software developers with certain skill set remotely. We had the experience of working with Russian developers on the project basis before and were very satisfied with the results and value for money. We decided to look in that direction for outstaffing as well.

How did you select this vendor?

SHUNTI was recommended to us by our partners.

Describe the project in detail.

They consulted us on the market and gave certain recommendations about the salary and other terms important to candidates. Then they organized the whole process in a short period – providing suitable profiles and scheduling the interviews, gathering our and candidate’s feedback and managing the communication. They have a substantial talent pipeline so it took only 3 days before we saw first profiles and no more than 5 before the first interview. Shunti also offered us the additional service of checking the tech skills of the candidates, but we have enough expertise to do that ourselves.

What was the team composition?

There were two people working with us from their side - project manager and IT recruiter.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

One out stuff team of 4 people are working over the projects of our clients with better efficiency then local ones. Now we're in process of communication with another team for project for another client

We needed full stack developer for our ecom project and couldn’t find a right person with necessary skills for a long time, so we decided to consider hiring someone with relocation from non-EU country. It was not a simple decision. It required certain actions on company side to arrange visa.

But it worked well for us and paid off. They found us a great full stack guy with necessary experience who was ready to relocate very quickly. He is an important part of the team now. All the searching took about a month or less I think.

Then it took about a month or a bit more to have all the documents. Developer was working remotely for us most of that time so we were sure he’s the right kind of person when he got his visa and came to join the office.

The whole process of recruitment. Search, testing and relocation.

How did you select this vendor?

They contacted one of my colleagues when they saw we go a position open for a long time. We got a positive review from another company and decided to try their services too.

Describe the engagement in detail.

They got the whole process of recruitment covered. They asked us for specifications and started to send us profiles in about 2-3 days. We looked through them the same day and commented what was wrong or what we liked.

They arrange the first interview in 5 days I think. It did not went well, it was not our guy. The next few were much better. Shunti was improving on our feedback. They managed the process and could take part in the interviews if we asked them. They also consulted us a lot when we needed it.

What was the team composition?

There was IT recruiter on their side who did the searching and contacted candidates. This person was our contact and arranged the process. The communication was active and to the point.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

The developer has already passed the probation period successfully. Everything was quicker than we expected.

Because the candidate started to work for us remotely by contract before visa was ready we got a specialist in less than 1,5 month. It was a good thing. We tried to hire one for over 4-5 months before that. The documents preparation took time and effort but we were lucky to do it quickly.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was good. Communication was efficient and they listened to our feedback.

What did you find most impressive about this vendor?

I think they have a good base of candidates at hand, they sent us first profiles really soon.
