BACKGROUND

Please give a brief description of your company.

We’re a full-services civil law firm in Austin, Texas, comprised of seven attorneys.

What is your role at the company?

I’m the president and managing shareholder.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What was the business challenge that you were trying to address when you approached Shelton Interactive?

We needed to reconstruct our website and rebrand our law firm, with a focus on targeting more local and Texas-based businesses.

What were your company’s business goals for the project?

We wanted to generate more traffic to our website, develop a new brand in the community, and get more clients in the process.

SOLUTION

Can you talk about the scope of the project?

The scope of the project was first built on the reconstruction/redesign of our website. That was followed by Shelton Interactive advising us on social media, blog posts, and website management.

What was your process for selecting Shelton Interactive with which to work?

The quality of their services and their competitive pricing. I’ve known Rusty [Shelton, founder and CEO of Shelton Interactive] for years now, and his company reflects his values of integrity, honesty, and professionalism.

Can you give us a sense of the size of the project in dollar terms or personnel work hours?

The website reconstruction/redesign was more than $9,000, but it was well worth it. We continue to get compliments on our website three years later.

When was the project completed?

It was completed within the contracted timeline.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the results of the project, and are there any metrics you can share?

As mentioned above, the results were overwhelmingly positive. On the date we launched our new website, traffic to our firm’s domain increased tenfold. Shelton Interactive now performs SEO [search engine optimization] analytics for us as well.

How did Shelton Interactive perform?

I thought Shelton Interactive performed very well throughout the project. They were timely, communicative, and quick to respond to any problems or concerns.

When working with them, was there anything unique or special about them compared to other companies with which you may have worked?

The fact that I’ve known Rusty for so long was unique and special. We were one of the first law firms that Shelton Interactive worked with, and they have since done business with other law firms.

Looking back on the project, is there any area that they could improve or you would do differently?

The graphics on our email signature logo took quite some time. That’s the only thing I can think of.

What is your role at the company?

I am a senior publicist.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What was the business challenge that you were trying to address when you approached Shelton Interactive?

We approached Shelton Interactive to update our website.

What were your company’s business goals for the project?

To position ourselves as one of the leading book PR [public relations] firms in the country and to use the website to show our experience, past clients, and depth of work.

SOLUTION

Can you talk about the scope of the project?

Shelton completely overhauled the website and worked closely with us on a design scheme.

What was your process for selecting Shelton Interactive with which to work?

We had worked with Shelton many times before on joint projects with authors, and had seen the excellent work they had done. It was an obvious choice for us.

Can you give a sense of the size of the project in dollar terms or personnel work hours?

I would say it took about 40 personnel work hours.

When was the project completed?

It was completed in 2011.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

How did Shelton Interactive perform?

Shelton Interactive performed well. They were very concerned with our needs and made sure we were completely on board the entire process.

When working with them, was there anything unique or special about them compared to other companies with which you may have worked?

They are very down to earth, and there were no egos involved.

Looking back on the project, is there any area that they could improve or you would do differently?

The website tends to run slowly at times because of the main carousel on the front page. I wish we had chosen a different solution for this.
